They dont have online rent payment. They also do not accept bank guaranteed cashier cheques. So for us folks who work on the road and are rarely home paying rent is a pain in the butt. They are money order only(even though cashier cheques are exactly the same thing)… prepare to spend an entire day trying to get rent paid because that’s how much driving or riding the bus you’re gonna be doing.

Things that happened when I lived at Belew: My mail got stolen out of my box. My downstairs neighbors were burglarized-twice. I had to call the cops on a prowler who wouldn’t get the hell off my porch after following me to my darkened apartment at night. I had to deal with constant weirdos who would come to the door and ask me personal questions leading up to some sales pitch. They almost always looked meth-faced. It was worst during deployment periods. The maintenance people would come into the apartment without warning all the time. Two times they barged in while I was in the shower. And last but not least: My neighbor got shot outside his apartment! Listening to a fight turn into agonizing screams isn’t really what you want to hear whilst getting ready for bed. So what about the property itself? The balconies are rickety. No bugs! But, you have to deal with constant pest control. Really thin walls. I’m sure we were loud as hell to the revolving door of downstairs neighbors, and we heard our fair share of fights, parties, and uh, other stuff coming from them too. The depressing uneven gray paint they use comes off the wall if you stick anything to it. Great view, and lots of bunny watching during the summer. Fridge, microwave, and washer/dryer are included. I’m giving it two stars because I honestly have lived in a much worse apartment. Now that I’ve moved though, I can’t believe what I put up with.

!warning! I have lived in an apartment owned by belew rentals for almost a year now. When I was apartment hunting I chose this apartment because they said it was totally renovated and is like new… Yeah, ok. Since living here my car has been towed from the parking lot due to them not giving me a pass to park in front of my building instead of having to walk a distance through tall grass they only mow once a month, my dryer has broken twice, my washer has broken, the shower head was broken when I moved in and had to be replaced, and now my dishwasher is broke. Sounds renovated, huh? Also the maintenance staff(well most of them) is completely rude. They knock once then start unlocking the door, they don’t spray for bugs properly, it’s just ridiculous. I cannot wait to find another place to live.
