I paid $ 30 for the drop off service because over winter break my sorority house is closed. They do it by $.89 a pound. I tried to explain to the guy that my laundry basket probably weighed a little but he didn’t listen to me. When I left I realized I left my container in my laundry basket that had four dollars in quarters and 3 of those laundry detergent pouches in it. I figured when I got back it would be returned. When I picked up my laundry the $ 4 in quarters and the laundry detergent was gone. I asked the woman working if she knew who I could talk to and she said no, asked if there was a number I could call and she said no, asked when the manager would be back and She said«maybe Wednesday.» Disappointed in the service and definitely won’t be going back or recommending the place to any friends. UPDATE: just got home to open up my laundry and there are blue and pink ink dots all over my clothes. Literally paid them to ruin my clothes and sheets.

Drop off service is a rip off. They make you separate your own whites from colors THEN charge you an additional $ 3.00 for using separate washers for whites AND charge you for a too-big bottle of bleach. $.89 a pound turns into much, much more. May be a great place with great perks for doing your own laundry, but avoid for drop off. Cheaper better service is available elsewhere.

I pretty much exclusively take my laundry here. For the most part it’s fine. I disagree with others that say it’s too expensive, it’s actually saved me money, but you need to find the best combination of washers and dryers that work for you. And i have never seen bugs that would make me worry about my laundry, only the occasional fly, which is normal. The floors and such are not the cleanest and now and then I find extra yucky things in the washing machines, but that’s bound to happen in a public laundromat because there are plenty of gross, inconsiderate people. However, 95% of thr customers are nice and considerate that I’ve seen. The women who work here do come through a few times a day to clean and they are very nice and helpful. The owner is a serious jerk, though. I gave it only 4 stars because the machines are often broken, especially the dryers, and there could be more tables and chairs for folding. If you go in the evening or on weekends you risk not having enough space.

Wow! Its hard to put into words how great laundry world is for me, and the community. Talk about convenience, they have full laundry service at affordable rates, a nail salon, and an arcade to keep the kiddies occupied. The service is always great, and the televisions are always playing very interesting telenovelas that keep me intrigued while I wait for my clothes. Laundry world turns chores into a great day out!

If you give them 90¢/pound, they’ll do your laundry for you. You just pick it up the next day. For me, that’s, like, $ 20 every two or three weeks. Totally worth it to never have to wash or dry or fold again. Also, they are really nice and conscientious. The first time I came, the lady was super worried that they were going to overcharge me, because of the weight of my laundry basket. She hunted around to find a plastic bag for me, so I could transfer my clothes to it and save money. If they took credit cards, they’d be perfect.

I will say this place has the best price in the area. It’s open 24⁄7 so it makes easy for me to at night and wash some clothes. It could be a little cleaner and when you do need help it’s sometimes hard to find a worker. But that’s just me bing picky. For the most part this is a good spot to get your laundry done.

I’m going back to Laundry World. It may not be the cheapest, the coolest, or the most stable, but it gets the job done. I paid between 3 and 4 dollars to wash a very large load. They have 20 lb, 30 lb, 50 lb, etc. washers at various costs, obviously increasing in cost as weight increases. I paid a buck fifty to dry a large load. This is too expensive for laundry, but I don’t typically do laundry out of my house, so I would only be upset if I paid a lot and the machines did a poor job. My clothes came out great. I’ve become used to using my house dryer at the last two places I’ve lived, and they do not measure up to the wonder that these washer and dryer combinations provide. I care a lot about my clothes, and I was happy while I was folding them. Laundry World is huge. The use of the word«World» in their name is appropriate. There are a lot of video games to be played, pool tables to use(if you’re doing laundry with a friend[?] or stranger), and televisions. There’s a few decent places to sit and do homework. However, I just left my clothes to spin and went for a drive to run errands. I came back and my clothes had been adequately washed/dried. I came back during the essential in-between stage of transferring the clothes from washer to drier. Not a hassle, they have a lot of mobile clothes carriages. There are a lot of change machines. Lots of detergent to be bought if necessary. Washer inlet for powder or liquid detergent. A lot of the machines here are broken(whether change machines, video game machines, some washers/driers) but redundancy should be part of the Laundry World brand. They have enough redundancy in this place to create two functional laundromats. Go to Laundry World and get your clothes done already.

This place is disgusting. My friend came here to wash her quilt at night and holy sh*t– it is ridden with bugs. The term«infested» is doesn’t begin to cover it. They are all around the outside doors and plenty of them come inside. I was paranoid and felt things crawling on me until I got back in my car. I made my roommate check her quilt for insects because the last thing I want is a bedbug infestation from laundry world in my apartment.(I dont know if they were bedbugs or not but I’m not taking any chances)

Great place. Washers were fast, dryers too. We played games while we waited. It was fun for the kids.

Thinking of changing my Unilocal nickname to Kelly«granny panties forever» G. after this review. My dryer is broken. Actually, its been broken for a couple of weeks, er, months, now. I have fixed it twice. Twice it was the little belt that goes around the wheel things next to the drum to spin it. THIS time, its the heating element. So now, it spins just fine. Its just icy cool inside the whole time. Fixing the belt was no problemo. But the heating element, aw hail no, I do not want to mess with that thing… I can just see the news broadcast now: {…my neighborhood in the background a charred wasteland… and Jackie Benson live on scene trying to report and dodge fire trucks and duck away from live wires at the same time…} «Today in washington, residents say Kelly G., a thrifty Unilocaling singleton who typically billed herself as a harriet homemaker, attempted to repair the heating element on her dryer… more details after this…» And I’ve so totally gotten tired of the rough, scratchy, air-dried thing. Oh is that a drag. So, I’m here now at Laundry World doing my Unilocal review as I await my load of towels and sheets and other cottony, «must-dry-in-a-dryer» goods. They have free wi-fi. The SpeedQueen dryers are six minutes per quarter. They have pool tables, arcade games, your requisite snack machines, ample, well-lit parking, oh, and they have washing machines, too. I just didn’t need to use those. If your dryer breaks, or you just need a laundromat for some odd reason, swing on by LaundryWorld. I’m a fan.

This is my regular laundry spot. They have plenty of machines in mutiple sizes so even when it’s busy you can usually grab a machine. Mostly it’s not too terribly busy(except on Sunday nights, it’s a free for all madhouse). They are open 24 hours a day when the university is in session, and open until 1 am during the summer. They have pool tables, vending machines, TVs, plenty of seating, and fully stocked machines that give you quarters. It’s very well lit and full of plenty of friendly people. No one really makes trouble or anything, unless you count the occassional kid playing bumper cars in the laundry carts. My only complaint is that the bathroom occassionally is in need of attention, but just mention it to an attendant and they fix it up quick. But for the most part it’s everything you could want: clean, well-lit, the machines work and there are plenty of them.
