My fiancée and I have been here for one pre release and one Friday night magic tournament, along with a few times buying boosters and singles for our MtG decks. Our experience has always been great; the owner is very friendly provides top notch customer service. He really seems to make an effort to make everyone feel welcome, even if you’re a newbie. The FNM crowd is mostly very friendly, and we’ll definitely be returning.

I used to go here quite a bit. Cameron owns/runs the place I guess and he’s a very nice fellow as well as one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen. Handsome too, ladies. Most of the crowd who goes here are also cool, often a nice variety of ages and ethnicities which is great. Never did FNM but enjoyed the prerelease MTG tournaments and bought lots of packs for a few years back before they moved. Things can get hectic, I hear what the other reviewer was saying. Having been there a lot, yeah, occasionally it’s slow, but most of the time you only had to wait a few seconds while someone ran up from the back. Understand you’ve got at most a couple of guys often dealing with a large crowd of nerds who hang out and play in store. Once I had a negative experience with one of the employees more intent on playing a game than answering a few simple questions without throwing a tantrum, he probably doesn’t even work there now, and I just never went back. Whenever Cameron’s on duty, which is usually, I guarantee you’ll be well attended to by a knowledgeable, friendly professional. I have a great fondness for this place. It’s your local business and you should support it. The prices are the same as your local faceless megamart if you just want a few packs and you can preorder and reorder or browse or hang out and play and go to town stimulating the local economy and sustaining a fine businessman and his business. Do it.

NERDALERT! This is quite possibly the nerdiest place in The Springs. Petrie’s sells all sorts of family friendly and role-playing games. They have a room where you can join others or rent the space to play games/host parties with friends. Signage could be improved. It’s easily overlooked.

Love this store. Workers are passionate about their product. Decent selection and pricing is average. Best part is they carry and accept gently used games. They have good dice games, card games and board games. We asked Cameron for a suggestion for playing with our 5 year old(explained what we played with him Risk Legacy, Smallworld, etc) and he suggested King of Tokyo. Completely different from all other games we play but is awesome. Thanks Cameron!

This place is utterly disappointing when staff are busy in the playing section. Just before the store’s relocation, my family and I went by to purchase some small gaming items like dice and players handbooks. Despite spending 20 minutes standing at the counter and looking around, no one ever stepped forwards or offered to help us — no gamer greeted us and people seemed content to pretend we did not exist. This disappointing experience drove us to another gaming store — which happens to be much further from our home, but provides stellar service regardless of the amount of money we do — or don’t — spend.

Hands down my favorite place to play Magic: The Gathering in Colorado Springs. Very friendly store owner, Cam. The crowed is very laid back and just wants to have some fun playing our favorite game. If you have younger ones trying to play, they’re more then welcome. One of the few places I’ve been that is willing and happy to sit down with an 10 year old to play magic. A very casual«FNM-Spikes» kinda crown. I can’t speak from expire nice, but the rest of the events, Pathfinder, D’n’D, Warhammer, etc., all seem to have a simmer vibe.

Family fun for everyone! Great game room to hang out and play board games, rpg’s, and card games. They have a fantastic, unmatched game selection for sale as well as games to rent or play in store. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are good. But the atmosphere is the best! Met a lot of cool people, there are always people to game with. Love it here!
