Gardelle Construction & Landscape

I left a message for this company to call me regarding my backyard landscaping. I have not heard from them as of yet. A phone call at the end of the day should be made to acknowledge the request. Not a very good start of a landscaping relationship.

Just finished a front paver and trellis project with Gardelle. Steve was willing to work with me on the pricing, and was very competitive compared to other bids. The only reason for the 4 stars is that we did have a few hiccups in terms of communication regarding the start date. However, once that was resolved, everything went smoothly. The guys did EXCELLENT work, and I would definitely use again.

We’ve used Gardelle on several projects since 1999. They have built retaining walls and fences, done concrete and tile work and planted grass and plants as well as doing sprinklers and timers. We did a lot of projects in the last year and have been very happy with their work. They are professional, courteous and creative. If anything has gone wrong they have come back promptly to fix it. We highly recommend them and will call them again when we have another project.

I have used Gardelle Landscaping (Steve Gardelle, owner) twice now in my two homes in Peacock Creek, Clayton. Both times, they did an exceptional job — on-​time, communicative throughout the entire process with prompt returns phone calls, and the quality of work (front yard concrete/​stone/​plants both jobs) was second to none. I will definitely use Gardelle again when the need arises.

Used this company in the last 12 months.
A section of a new concrete walkway they poured was defective, color didn’t match because the concrete wasn’t mixed properly. Owner blamed it on a overhead tree shading the concrete and preventing it from drying. He said give it time to dry. I knew that was not the problem as did he. He doesn’t tell the truth.
One of his empoyee’s cut a power cord to my fountain pump. He refused to replace the pump or at least replace the cord. All he would do was to repair an underwater cord… I told him that was unacceptable and I replaced the pump at a cost of $ 90
On both the above two issues we worked a $ 400 credit on my bill. I would rather have had my concrete poured correctly and my pump replaced by the company.
Finally, the owner showed up during the job for 10 or 15 minutes every second or third day; he wasn’t around much. I felt I was the general on this job telling his people what to do.
I would not recommend this company.
