I am not one to write reviews, but I do believe in good customer service. And the service by Allen was so over the top spectacular that I felt compelled to write this review! Amazing service, product and knowledge. There is a Pedego dealer .5miles from my house and he couldn’t earn my business but Allen did. Customer for life! Trust me, this is the spot to buy your Pedego!

This was the best money I’ve ever spent! If you want to see all of Coronado, this is the best way. The electric bikes are safe, reliable, and have special paved dedicated roads made for them and other bikes! They go up to 20mph. On a sunny afternoon, catching the sunset is so worth it. You can easily see all of Coronado in 1 hour. I went with my friend. It was our first time electric biking. We had no idea how it worked. We were helped by a young local lad who took all of his sweet time to explain to us every detail. He explained how the bikes work, where the best places to bike are, and even gave us tips and spotted the«secret» spots in Coronado on the map. His explanation of where to go on the map he gave us was so helpful! The batteries on the bike are made to last all day so there is no risk of them dying. He gave us bike locks which allowed us to lock up our bikes and walk around and explore certain areas that we wanted to stop by. The quality of the bikes is exceptional! The seats are comfortable. The bikes are sturdy and they are 5 and 6 speed bikes, which all you to bike at a velocity and or pace of your convenience. I probably biked half of our trip. But probably the best thing about the whole experience was the actual bike trails themselves. Almost 80% of our riding were on very safe, bike-only, dedicated, paved bike paths that were free of automobiles and, for the most part, free of lots of pedestrian traffic and congestion. This allowed for us to go the speed we wanted to for three majority of the trip. Therefore, electric bikes are perfect for a family and their kids, contrary to beliefs that it might be unsafe. And I might add that the location, Coronado, and some of its sights, including the bay, downtown San Diego, Hotel del Coronado, the beautiful homes, and the beach all added so much to our experience. Overall, our experience was fantastic. We will definitely return. And we highly recommend. The only suggestion I can make to the company is for them to consider dividing up the second hour into half hour(30 min) or quarter hour(15 min) increments.

Go off the beaten path a bit to this place to get your pick of e bikes for the afternoon. It’s a small shop but the guy working there will hook you up and you’re likely to pay a little less than you would at the pier. The bikes were in great shape and super fun to ride. It was $ 64 for two of us to rent ebikes for just over 2 hours. Well worth it and a great way to see Coronado. We didn’t NEED the E part but they sure were fun!

Super fun! Worth the money! Friendly staff. The bikes are nice and new, comfortable too. We rented two electric bikes for 2 hours and paid 60 $. We took the bike path all around the island, did some house hunting down less busy streets, ate lunch, and visited the beach at Hotel Del. This was our first time with electric bikes. We had a blast and want to do it again. Best way to see Coronado!

Excellent experience! Fast and friendly service, good bikes AND they mailed my sunglasses to me in Portland when I left them behind. Thanks Pedego!

Allan and his team are simply the best. I bought a Pedego Bike from their shop less than a year ago. For some reason it stopped charging and I was freaking out about it. I called Allan and he just told me to bring it in for inspection. I ended up leaving the battery pack. A couple of weeks later he called me telling me to come pick up a brand new battery. How awesome is that? I mean, these batteries are definitely not cheap and even though it was under warranty, the whole thing just seemed too easy. Thank you Pedego Coronado.

Two young men were working and served my group of 8. They were very nice and friendly! They helped us look at a bike path and told us of a couple good places to stop by. They also helped all the girls adjust the seats with no problem. Biking around Coronado is gorgeous and I highly recommend it and this place! It was $ 10/hour so I paid $ 16.20 for just me for an hour and a half.

If you want to explore Coronado Island without having to walk around and sweat to death, definitely consider renting an electric bike from Pedego! It was $ 15/hour per bike and you get a 10 minute grace period to return the bike, after which you start getting charged by the half hour. The owner(I think?) was this sweet Filipino man who not only gave us the customary rundown of how to use the electric bikes, but also pulled out a map of Coronado and pointed out/circled the bike trail and areas we should visit. He let us know what areas to avoid and where we could stop by for gelato and photo ops. Tip, an hour goes by fast following the bike trail. Don’t waste your time going down the Silver Strand, there’s nothing to see there. Follow the bike trail up until around Hotel del Coronado, then turn into the center of Coronado Island and do some boutique shop exploring there. We didn’t get a chance to check out the center of Coronado, but it was very relaxing just riding the bikes along the bike trail.

Don’t hesitate to buy or rent bikes here — Pedego Coronado is the best! I can’t say enough about this bicycle shop. Allan, the owner, has been just amazing with us. I have a back disability and wasn’t sure if I would be able to ride the bike. Allan took us out for a ride on different terrains with two different types of Pedego bikes. He was patient, friendly, and kind. I like to patronize good people with integrity — we bought two Pedego bikes and are thrilled with them and the relationship that we’ve build at Pedego Coronado.

We had guests in town and needed something fun to do — Pedego was perfect. It’s a great way to spend the day in Coronado and the service was great too. The bikes are pretty easy to use and you get a hang of the electric feature pretty quickly. You can choose to either pedal yourself or use the electric part for when you get a little tired. Not to mention it’s just really fun to stroll around Coronado, the scenery is beautiful and there’s a really easy bike trail to follow. I would definitely recommend Pedego to anyone who wants something fun to do in Coronado!

We rented a tandem electric bike and it was awesome… This was our first time so we decided to take our own tour. 15 miles later, our battery died(we drove non stop)… but just a simple phone call and they brought us out a new one. The customer service was beyond amazing. Very friendly staff!!! I recommend renting!!!

Wow … a 5-star experience for sure! I have only outstanding things to say about this business! They provide excellent customer service and a highly fun and enjoyable way to spend an afternoon! Originally, a friend and I purchased a «Living Social» ½ off deal for this. I had spoken with Allan by phone, initially, to make a reservation and he was great — polite, professional, accommodating, and efficient! Then, on the day of our reservation, we were met by, Shaun — a personable, professional, extremely helpful and patient guy — whom gave us a great orientation on riding the electric cruisers and a thorough description of where to go and what to see(including a handy map) while perusing the Island. We were each given a fun and colorful cruiser. We could pedal them, regularly, as a 6-speed or turn on the electric throttle and cruise without any foot power whatsoever! Woo-wee! It was such a blast and a fabulous way to see the Island! I, myself, returned a few weeks later to do it again with a cousin of mine whom was visiting from Oregon. She, too, had a really fun time! And, we were, again, met with the same excellent customer service via phone and in person! As a local, it’s like a mini vacay/staycay for me. I truly found it relaxing and invigorating and will probably sign up under their Membership program in which you prepay for 10 hours at $ 15 an hour($ 150) and receive another 10 hrs free! Honestly, I almost hate to Unilocal about it ’cause it’s sooo good I wanna keep it to myself! ;) PS — Kids ages 16 and older can ride and besides cruisers they even have tandem electric bikes!

Why would anyone pay $ 15 for a 60 min. bike ride? Cause the bikes are expensive? Ok, so why would i need a $ 1000 bike for a short ride along the beach? I wouldn’t! I’d rather pay a $ 100 extra deposit and get an old rusty, squeaky bike from grandma’s attic patched up with duct tape and get it for a whole day, than pay $ 15-$ 30 for just an hour. But that’s not just Pedego. I checked two other bike rentals in Coronado Island and they all give you similar rates. Don’t get me wrong, the guy was really nice, but IMO the rates are overpriced.

We took a tour of Coronado Island with Kelly, and aside from the crazy sunburns(wear sunscreen, friends), it was awesome! It took about an hour and a half, and it was really informative and fun. The bikes are AMAZING. I want one! I was initially hesitant about being on an electric bike – probably because I once crashed a scooter – but it was super easy to ride. The throttle wasn’t crazy powerful or anything, just smooth and steady. If you go to Coronado and have some time, check this place out!

This is a hidden gem. I can’t believe nobody knows about this. I was riding around Coronado Island on a tandem electric bike with my girlfriend and everybody was jealous. My girlfriend who’s traveled around the world didn’t even know these existed. The entire experience from beginning to end was great. The guy working there was hip and trendy, had a smile on his face, and he hooked us up. We rode for 1.25 hours, I was expecting to get charged for two hours, and he wrote some of it off. I feel the least I can do in return is write a fantastic Unilocal review! I don’t want too many people knowing my little secrets but this place deserves the business! The bikes are really fun and a great way to spend some time on a date. Highly recommended!

I am a huge Pedego electric bike fan. The electric beach cruisers are soooooo much fun. I am now a huge fan of Allan, Shaun and Pedego Coronado! The shop is very nice, the customer service is AWESOME, great selection of electric bikes, thorough introduction of what to expect and where to go. After we got done riding around the main parts of the city we took off and explored the rest of the island. Zipping around the residential streets with no traffic was a blast! I can’t wait to go back! This place is great… thank you!

Electric powered bikes! What more can you ask for? Best bike rental store in Coronado hands down! The first thing you notice when you walk into the store is this giant«hello fun…» wall. Immediately the excitement begins. Then you get on the bike and you suddenly realize why the words«hello fun» is plastered on that orange creamsicle wall. My family and I rented bikes here a couple of weeks ago and we had a blast! We were able to pedal the bikes traditionally, but when we got tired, twisted on that throttle and ZOOM. We were able to see more of Coronado. We even got on the ferry and explored downtown San Diego! The rates are amazing… same price as a regular bike rental. Why rent a regular bike? They have so many colors to match your personality. They even have electric tandem bikes! The people operating the store are helpful, friendly and very welcoming. Great customer service for sure. This experience is a must when visiting the Coronado/San Diego area.
