TOOEXPENSIVE and lame selection. I went here to find a quick card for a baby shower and ended up paying $ 6.00 for a lame small card that wasn’t very original or unique. I was shocked that a store based on selling paper didn’t have more options or bargains of any kind. Maybe i was just looking in the wrong section or they happened to have run out of baby shower cards… I would’ve just gone to Safeway if I had known. Two stars only because there was good, nice service.

When I was planning my wedding I needed a specialty paper store and this was the closest one I could find to my home that had a wide selection of paper colors and weights. I did all of my own invitation printing and favors, and I got nearly all of my paper supplies from Paper Source. I ended up making about 5 trips here over the course of my engagement. The store in on the smaller side but adequate. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. When they didn’t have enough of one of the things I needed they offered to order it and have it shipped to me for free. When the wedding was over and I had extra bundles of envelopes to return, they took it back for a store credit(it was past the 30 days window for a cash refund). They always have fun books, calendars and knick knacks in addition to their paper and craft supplies so I will have fun spending my store credit the next time I get down there!

I went in recently with a project to accomplish. It wasn’t particularly big, but required a lot of creativity and patience. Annie and Kelby both helped me get it done in an easy and dedicated way. I will certainly be returning due to their great service.

Well, that was… odd. OK, I’m not sure if everyone is angry about having to work Labor Day weekend or what, but I just walked out of the Paper Source feeling like I’d participated in some weird Saturday Night Live skit. Everyone was either comotose/rude, or sing-songy, airheaded and passive aggressive. Examples: I’d walked in asking where I could find a certain sized paper. Somewhere about 15 seconds into«helping» me, the woman(this is the airheaded, passive-aggressive one) runs off and starts checking out customers in line! She hollered that she’s be back to help me, but then disappeared into the ether, returning to her craft table in the front of the store to glue macaroni onto cardboard, I presume. So I found what I needed with the«help» of someone who actually had a pulse. Her suggestion was to take the size paper that they had in stock, and cut it in half to suit my purposes. Fine. You’d think a store devoted to being the source of all things paper would have what I needed, but that’s neither here nor there. OK, so paper purchased. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough, but after visiting another store at the mall, I thought it might be best if the paper Source drones would do me the honor of cutting my three pieces of paper in half since they no doubt have one of those paper choppers that cut neatly and all I have at home are measly scissors. And lo and behold: They DID have one of those paper cutters! That they could sell me. The response was something like: «Well, we have one, but we can’t cut it for you because if we did it wrong you would blame us and we’d have to give you free paper.» OK, let’s summarize that one. A paper store stuffed with tons of paper products couldn’t give me three free sheets of it if they somehow(I’m not sure how this would happen exactly) cut my paper in half incorrectly. Any 3-year old could cut a piece of paper in half using one of those things. And people who have chosen paper as their career aren’t confident enough that they could do it without a hitch? With a curt«We can’t do it for you,» I was dismissed and she went back to her glue and glitter. And this was after I’d spent money there 20 minutes earlier. Some crazy stuff. The one in Berkeley is great, but these people are very weird. OH, I forgot the woman who checked me out(this was an ordeal in and of itself). In addition to having trouble finding the price of a pen I was buying(you’d think she was splitting atoms), not once did she make eye contact with me. I felt like i was intruding on her«me time.» I think she and her cohort are sniffing the glue that’s omnipresent in this place. So thanks a lot, ladies, for not meeting one of the few minor expectations I had walking into your little paper-o-rama. You’ve sent me right back to communicating digitally.

The manager was pretty rude when we were trying to return some items that were purchased online. Typically one can return items in store even when purchased online. I wanted to look for some additional invitations, but my mother said, «I don’t want to give them business». Thus we left.

Visits were frequent here when I was planning my wedding last August. There was one particular person I want to thank for helping me find some stamps and envelopes. I forgot her name but I see her from time to time when I would come in to buy other gift goodies or some crafty item.

I would never think that I’d write a negative review for this store becasue I LOVE Paper Source product. A clerk was VERY rude today when she refused to accept a return within the legal return policy, because she didn’t believe that we didn’t open it and called my mother a liar. The product was not only never opened by us, but it was even in the original shopping bag for a week, until we decided to return it. If you think you may need to return something to this store, make sure that the packaging is in perfect condition when you buy it, so you don’t get abused by the bullies that work here.

I have taken several card classes here. Love them. The staff is super super nice. The manager is so helpful. Claire is the best card maker and teacher. i hope that the corporate folks know that these guys are great. One thing, the classes should be 2 hours not an hour and a half. We love doing stuff at home, but we want the classes to not be rushed. Not the staff’s fault, it is corporate PS that makes the schedules. So lets just have a 2 hour class shall we. All is well. Love the classes!

Heaven. I could spend way too much money in this place. That’s the only problem I have — the money… it can cost ya to frequent this place.

If you are crafty then Paper Source is for you! I am totally addicted! The paper selection is great. The supplies for creating handmade cards and scrapbooks are abundant and inspiring. The random gifts are fun to window shop. Visually the store is pleasing. The employees have ALWAYS been amazingly helpful and friendly. I like this store! The Paper Source in Berkeley is great too!

Paper Source is a cute little store located in the Corte Madera Town Center filled with lots of different wrapping paper(I think it’s wrapping paper) beautifully displayed on one of the walls along with a wall full of stamps, stamping pads and glitter for stamps. There are also a lot of scrap booking products, cleaver gift idea’s and Smash Books!!! They also have a few DIY supplies(to make labels, place cards, etc) and idea’s posted around. I got something for my Smash Book here and will definitely be coming back for more!

I have been missing the scrapbooking supplies for some time. Although I haven’t been scrapbooking as much these days, I have started making my own cards. This is the place to be. Workshops to learn. Supplies. Paper. Ribbon. Ideas. Gifts. Projects for Kids. Stickers. Paper flower kits. When it’s time to make my own wedding invitations, I may have to visit here.
