I love this place. It’s my Saturday habit to come in and sit at the sushi bar, and I’ve never been displeased. The poke bowl is huge and fresh(I add avocado and crunchies), or I’ll get the Hawaiian roll with an El jalapeño. It’s often quite busy, so don’t give them a hard time! Fish is always fresh and never tough/fatty, great happy hour prices, and the staff is quick, hard working, and friendly. I love this place! You can bring your dog for on the patio, and they will bring them a bowl with water, along with opening an umbrella for you if it’s sunny.

Love this place. Awesome Poke bowls. It’s $ 8.25 and comes with rice and miso soup. Great service too! Highly recommended. You know a Japanese restaurant is good when its workers and customers are mostly Japanese.

the food is a three star at best… Its far from very good and its not horrible … The price cannot be beat though… BUT you get what you pay for… What really brings the review down is their service. This issue that I am about to COMPLAIN about has happened several times. I have been here about 7 – 8 times and I have ALWAYS got my order to go. I work in Costa Mesa and live in Irvine so it convenient to get my order to go on my way home after work. I will CALL and place a to go order and they will give me a time. They will say 15 minutes(sometimes 20, but this time was 15 minutes) I arrive there after 20 – 25 minutes expecting my order to be ready… BUT… They haven’t even started it… This happened nearly EVERYTIME and then I am waiting another 15 – 20 minutes for them to get it ready… I call ahead not to wait… Imagine working 10 hours all day and having to sit there even longer… its more frustrating than anything else, WHY can’t they just say 30 – 40 minutes… NOTSURE!!! I said something about that issue to them the past couple of times and they just give you a dumb smile in return(which infuriates me more) … I don’t say anything else in fear of them doing«something» to my food … lol The other issue is I will order the volcano/dynamite cooked/baked roll and they put in the SAME to go container with the sushi order which heats up the COLD sushi and ruins it… GROSS!!! I have to tell them EVERYTIME to not put the sushi part of the order in same container and to please separate it… REALLY!!! How sick do they want me to get??? LOL I only go there once every couple of months(3 – 5 times per year) for the past 2 years because of these issues YOUGETWHATYOUPAYFOR and their LOW prices are the strong draw, but there lack of customer service brings them down a notch or two

I highly recommend this place for sushi connoisseurs. Great fresh fish specials on the menu, for extremely reasonable pricing. I’m so happy I found this gem. I’m not into rolls much but looks like they had some very delicious looking rolls as well. Enjoy some teriyaki chicken if you’re not a sushi lover like me. I enjoyed Aji(Spanish mackerel), albacore belly, blue shrimp W/fried shrimp head, halibut served 2 ways, toro, salmon skin hand roll, and 1 order of edamame for $ 28 after taxs

What a fantastic gem in Costa Mesa. I stumbled on them while looking for a restaurant to eat at for lunch, read their reviews and decided to give it a try. It is a small restaurant located in a shopping center, be careful you will miss it if you aren’t looking. So I went in at lunch time, the place was bustling. Small seating and a great sushi bar. Because I had work to do I opted for a table otherwise sitting at the bar is one of my faves. Greeted with nice smiles and welcomes and handed my menu. Well there is so much to choose from… sushi, to poki, to bowls all of it looked good but I went with a couple of my faves… to test the waters. I ordered 3 rolls. The Philadelphia roll… which was amazingly fresh and good quality. I also ordered the crunchy roll… which was awesome. They add a bit of eel sauce to the top and it really added to the flavor. Then the final one, is a baked roll, I normally don’t do… but the server recommended. The Volcano roll. Boy was I impressed… it is a California roll baked with scallops and eel sauce on it. Pure heaven! The prices were really reasonable for the great fresh quality and service. 3 rolls and constantly filled tea, I was out the door for under $ 20. And I had some to take home!(3 rolls was too much food for me) I am definitely adding this place to my short list of fave sushi places. And I can’t wait for my next visit to venture out on the menu.

I came to the Costa Mesa location today for my second time. Received awesome service at the bar. The sushi chefs are funny and attentive. Their sushi is definitely on the less pricey side but the quality it definitely there. I will be back!

Awesome little sushi place. Prices are great. Always get the poke bowl with spicy add-in and it’s always on point. Decently recommend this for a simple sushi fix.

Love this place since its walking distance from my house. Their poke bowl is yummy and comes with miso soup. On busy hours, the service can get slow, but the food is yummy and worth the wait. The hawaiian roll is good too. Great beer and sake.

Came here for lunch. A little on the expensive side for sushi at lunch. The two sushi chefs were extremely friendly and quick. The sushi was good but after $ 15, I wasn’t necessarily full. The place gets pretty busy but there is quite a bit of indoor seating including the sushi bar. Try the salmon lovers roll if you dig salmon.

Decent lunch option for bento box and some sushi roll. Service and prices are decent so not a bad option for a quick lunch. Chicken Teriyaki with Tempura– Small portion and tasted pretty simple. Fullmoon Roll– sushi seemed fresh. This I might order again. Spider Roll– A little dry

Friendly prompt service. Stopped in for a quick lunch so only ordered the poke salad, which was fresh and a generous portion size($ 8.5). No Complaints. Not mind blowing but pretty good, as expected. Have cash. Credit card minimum is $ 10

Gotta go with poke bowl if you happen to stop by Full Moon. Great fresh sushi. Good prices. Friendly service and sushi chefs. It’s located in an unassuming strip mall, so it never feels too crowded and there is plenty of parking. Bonus points for the outdoor seating on nice nights.

I had a major craving for a poke bowl but didn’t wanna go out to eat so to go seemed like the best option. I was already at south coast so full moon came up on my Unilocal as the closest. I ordered over the phone. It was a little difficult but at least I got my order in. The restaurant itself is not hard to find and located in a pretty convenient location off harbor. When I got there I found out there was a $ 10 minimum for cards but the cashier was pretty nice about it and let me use my card anyway since it was my first time there. The poke bowl itself was pretty good, not the best but pretty good! It was a really good price since it was cheaper at lunch plus it comes with miso soup! The bowl could use some more flavor but I would come back again sometime!

I love this place because it’s good and affordable. Before this one open, I would usually go to their Fountain Valley location. I feel very welcome here. They acknowledge your presence as you enter and when you leave. The sushi bar chefs will greet you in Japanese. It’s very nice… not all sushi restaurants does this. I usually order the lunch or dinner special with California Roll, teriyaki chicken, salad, rice, and miso soup. It’s about 6−7bucks. I would usually ask to substitute the rice bowl for more salad. I love their full moon special roll and their jalapeño roll. I usually get their calamari appetizer as well. I love the service. It taste great. They are usually busy and the food is always fresh. I can come here by myself and feel comfortable because I am welcome. It’s a very casual atmosphere. I can eat here everyday!!!
