I rarely rate a place 5 stars but I will this time. The food is very good but the customer service and friendliness of it deserves the rating. Prices are reasonable also. I will be back. If in Crested Butte be sure to stop here.

Hit up Izzy’s on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Tiny place. Huge portions. Vibrant Personality. Only one other patron, but we still had a bit of a wait for our food. It was excellent, and well worth the wait. I was famished but barely finished the Mexicali wrap. My wife was unable to conquer her wrap. What really made it great though was the great, very friendly service we got from the staff.

Delicious fresh bagels, huge latkes. Only about 15 – 20 seats first come first served. The day we visited they were a little backed up, but we placed our order, gave them our phone number and 25 mins later we had tasty food in our mouths. Thanks for the meal!

I was in town for skiing and we wanted to grab a bite at McGill’s before hitting the road, but the place was packed, so we popped across the street and found Izzy’s! What a cozy(read: very small) shop! Being a weekend, it was busy. The staff let us know that it would be about a 20 – 25 minute wait, which was fine. I grabbed the Classic on an everything bagel – fried egg with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard and mayo. It arrived in about 30 minutes and was delicious. Moreover, the price was not outrageous($ 6 if I remember correctly) I think, inspired by the sign on the door – «LIVE, LOVE, LATKE» some of our group went for the latke bagels. Unfortunately, they were out… and the replacement, spiced Indian potatoes, just didn’t quite cut it for most of the orders. Then, as our food was being prepared, the waittress had to keep returning the table to figure out how some of our group wanted their eggs. Thus the three stars. Still, it was a good experience and I’d recommend stopping in to anyone who is in town.

Always a favorite!!! Love the super sized pancake(still can’t figure out how Craig makes it so thick). New favorite is the Fletcher on an everything bagel!!! Always an awesome breakfast! Icon of Crested Butte! Very small, sometimes a long wait but well worth it. Can call ahead w order and they will let you know when it’s ready. Latke, latke, latke!!! Good stuff!!!

Aside from being tiny I don’t think I’ve ever had a better bagel in my life. If your in Crested Butte and there open I highly recommend stopping by. It’s small so there could be a wait, they do a lot of call a head orders. They offer other breakfast and lunch items with a limited menu. Inside there are a few small tables. We’ve been here a few times and have’nt been disappointed yet. I take that back were disappointed to here it’s for sale. I wish I knew bagels and had some money. As long as there open and serving killer bagels we’ll stop by and eat them.

This was probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever eaten and one of the best experiences. The main cook(and I think owner) was very kind. When we ordered he couldn’t believe that we didn’t get a bagel and brought a mini bagel(cinnamon raisin with cream cheese and Nutella, YUM!) out to us when he brought us our food. The food itself was absolutely amazing. The wraps are huge! We were only able to eat half of it. You NEED to go visit them!

Very nice and friendly staff. Did a great job on my eggs. I like them over medium. Bacon was just a little crispy for my taste but it still made for a great breakfast. The potato things they make similar to hash browns are also very good!

Pros: Everything made on site and on demand Amazing bagels, latkes(!), bread, almost everything Big portions Friendly staff Super cute décor They take credit cards Things to keep in mind: It’s small, maybe room for 15 inside, 10 outside on the patio Making things on demand means long lines and long waits on weekends

This has been the second time we have tried to eat at izzys, hearing how all the locals love this place! When we went this morning before mountain biking a sweet lady outside said they were closed on Mondays. Bummed out we will still try to come back, not a moment later a gentleman came out with 3 bagels and said please come back these are on the house. This blew our minds and we would like everyone to support this incredibly owned place. If you think customer service is dead welcome to crested butte where the locals make you feel like your at home. Thanks you izzys for our breakfast, we are so greatful!

Best breakfast place!!! My husband got the bagel special with a latke. I got a half order of the French toast. They both were one of the best breakfasts we’ve had!!! The people working are so nice! I wish we lived in Crested Butte so we could come here all the time!!!

The three stars is due only to how long it took to get to delicious food. We arrived on Labor Day morning at about 745 to get«to go» for 4 people. We were second in line behind a party of 4 and it took(no joke) 45 minutes to get a couple of wraps, a sandwich and a breakfast item. We were all sorts of hungry and agitated waiting for our food(my mantra — mountain town, mountain town, mountain town). The place is very small and gets really crowded fast. By the time we left, the line was 5 deep… The. Food. Was. Delicious. No. Really. Delicious. The latkes that are on virtually every menu items are delicious. The bagels are fresh baked and reportedly(my daughter) quite good as well. But eat a latke. In whatever form. Then thank me.

Oh Izzys. I’m not doing you justice by not having a picture to post. I was up in Crested Butte for a friend’s wedding a couple of weeks ago. We almost gave up on coming here due to Google Maps giving curious directions. You can park on Elk Ave or go back a block north and park on Maroon Ave. The restaurant itself is on the north side of the alley that runs parallel to Elk and Maroon. There are limited tables inside and outside. Order at the counter and they’ll bring you the food. I had the potato latke with bacon, scrambled eggs, pepperjack cheese, and avacado. The price itself is higher than the chain restaurants but this is a local business and they’re great at what they do. The latke is good and tasty. The bacon though was thick cut and they got it to that state where it’s crispy but also tender but not fatty. If you love bacon you totally know what I mean!

Izzys is a great little breakfast/brunch spot in Crested Butte! My friends and I were a little surprised when we arrived at 11:30 am on a Sunday and there was a 30 minute wait for a simple bagel sandwich, but we were glad we stuck around because the food was great. I ordered the classic bagel sandwich, which had eggs, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mustard. The bagel was one of the best I’ve had in awhile and all the ingredients were fresh. The owner was very friendly also! I do recommend arriving early in the morning to this place because they were out of many items when we arrived. There was a limited selection of bagels, no latkes, and no toast, so if you want to be able to choose from the whole menu, don’t show up later in the morning!

The food is great, but be prepared to wait. They are going at their own speed here, so if you are in a hurry, you might want to try somewhere else. What others said about locals coming in is true, but that didn’t bother us. Also, portions are fairly large, so I would recommend sharing.

My wife and I stumbled in here on a Monday morning. There was a sign outside that we missed that stated that they were only open for to go sandwiches on Monday and Tuesday. The chef came out and apologized for the confusion and that we didn’t understand and offered to cook us anything on the menu. I thought this was very cool of him. We both ordered bagel sandwiches. I had the bacon egg and cheese on the everything bagel. It was tasty and the perfect size for a pre-bike ride breakfast. I much more enjoyed my wife’s who had a bagel with cheese, egg and spinach. Props to the chef for taking care of us.

What a great hole in the wall out of the way place. We went to Izzy on our last day on the mountain as we were headed back to Denver. It had been snowing, snowing and snowing and decided we might ought to eat a good breakfast. A great breakfast find!!! The day before when we ate at Tamale location, they had sign posted on their door… Power Day. Whenever they get POWDER, the businesses may be closed. Fortunately Izzy was open but was closing later in the a.m. HUGE pancakes, crepes, eggs to perfection, waffles and delicious coffee. Super Friendly SMALL but quaint… Laid back vibe… but hey you are in a ski town.

I had honestly the best omelet in my life at Izzy’s! That’s coming from a guy who makes and consumes an omelet every other day. I did the build your own omelet and what I received was undoubtedly greater than the sum of its parts. It was massive, had huge chunks of turkey which if purchased at a deli would have been more than what I paid for the omelet itself, feta, and spinach. My girlfriends Greek scramble which included latkes on the side were also extraordinary and more than either of us could finish. The interior is cute and cozy and a true mountain town establishment. Our only qualm, which really is a testament to how personable the employees are, was that our food took forever. The joint wasn’t too busy either. The issue was that every time a regular, and they all seemed to be regulars, came in, the owner/chef and half the staff would come out and bs with them. Okay… bs may not be the best term. They showed invested interest and excitement to see each regular come in and would get caught up in conversation. Progress picked up when they finally decided to have regulars come back into the kitchen so they could carry conversation while also continuing with orders.

Izzy’s was recommended by a few folks in town so we tried it for brunch and were blown away with the friendly service. So much to choose from and they were so patient with us. Once I finally decided the type of breakfast sandwich i wanted(the Scotty — sausage, egg, potato cake, cheese) then I had to decide on what bagel I wanted — decisions decision s! Instead of just listing what they had the owner let me come back in the back and select my bagel(the cheddar jalapeño)… Once I did he handed me that delicious cheese that had burnt off the edge… Mmm! The bagel sandwich was HUGE and delicious! My husband had a ‘small’ pancake — yeah right, it was huge! We both saved half of our meals for lunch later on. I would absolutely return next time we are in town.

Really friendly place, good lighting in late morning. Fun menu — I simply has the breakfast sandwich(bagel) as locals recommended to me. Added bacon to make it true. Really amazing stuff, so much so that I posted a pic of my sandwich. The bagel itself was quite good in itself. Locals seem to really like this place, as well as passers thru — one CB visitor I met couldn’t remember the name, but wanted to send me there so much that he went to find out and delivered the name to me later in the day. My experience is based on being in there with mostly just myself, but a few locals too.
