This place far exceeded expectations. Pleasant atmosphere with relaxing ambiance — not crazy loud music or rushing waitresses. We really enjoyed the service and food recommendations. We ordered the Veal Parmigiana and the Pesto Gnocci with Chicken and both were fantastic. The portions are large and satisfying and that’s even ordering a half order of the Gnocci! Wine selection was great and make sure to get an order of their garlic bread. Great Italian in Crested Butte — no question. Thanks!

Long wait, rude owner. Really disappointing because food is good. Made reservation, table ready 45min late once seated server took 30min to take drink order. We were with kids, 2hr dinner once seated — way too slow. Brought to owners attention — rude, almost insulting. Never experienced this before at any other CB restaurant.

Very Snobby/Unfriendly! We looked at Unilocal to get restaurant recommendations since we were new in town. We saw this restaurant had many great reviews for food and a few reviews for being unfriendly. My husband, 2 kids, and I were greeted by the most snobby hostess we have ever seen. She told us in a very cold, unhelpful, and unfriendly manner that the wait would be 1 hour and gave us the impression that she did not want our business. We immediately loss our appetite for this restaurant and walked down the road to the next restaurant.

Probably the best restaurant in CB and that’s saying a lot! Had a delicious Caesar Salad and Beef Ravioli last night with an amazing sauce. Outstanding meal and service and the price was reasonable! Consistently great and creative specials.

We hit this lovely little restaurant on a busy Friday night just perfectly… and sat at the chef’s window. Between delicious food(fried cheese balls, house salad, italian wedding soup, and lasagna) and shots of sambuca sprinkled with tales of raising three boys in CB, it was a memorable dining experience. Our waiter/bartender was attentive, the recommended bottle of wine was superb, and the italian cream cake for dessert was not to be missed. Michael knows how to run a restaurant, and have a fun time doing it.

Yum, yum, yum! This place makes me happy– their ravioli is so good, and their vodka sauce is not to be missed! Michael is an amazing owner– everyone who comes into his restaurant is a friend. I look forward to each visit– enjoy!

Excellent dinner small store with a family feel. We went on a Monday night and the place was busy. I suggest reservations, some walk ins had to be turned away. We were a party of four and were seated in a timely manner. We were quite full when we left I wish we had had room for the desert menu, it looked fantastic.

Some of the best service I’ve ever had in a restaurant — which is particularly notable for a small town in which servers can get away with being bland and/or grumpy. Food is wonderful, and the kitchen is very accommodating. One of my favorite spots in CB.

the mix and match pasta options are perfect after a day at the CB nordic center. i had the spaghetti with nico’s sauce and a house salad with the creamy red pepper dressing(a must try). not kidding when i say it was the best plate of spaghetti i have had in five years, especially with crusty, warm and obviously homemade bread served on the side and a glass of the house chianti.

Great, Italian-American comfort food. Beautifully prepared and huge portions. Delicious and savory Italian gravy style red sauce. Attentive service and a lingering pace(this is a restaurant where you spend a couple of hours with family and friends as opposed to dash in and out). Nice wine list and plenty of seasonal specials to complement the regular fare. Affordable and casual while still elegant. Have your server help to recommend non-menu combinations or substitutions.

Love the staff and owners. The fresh ravioli of the day is always good and I love their salads, but I sure wish they would would have at least one option for homemade pasta. This would really make this place one of the best restaurants in Crested Butte.

Excellent Southern Italian. Chicken piccata and pasta in red sauce is simply delicious. Rib sticking. Nice wine selection. Attentive wait staff.

Wonderful little spot in town — calamari and sauce was tremendous among other dishes. The staff is also great. We will be back for sure. Highly recommended.

Last time were in CB we enjoyed dinner here so we decided to come back. Definitely make reservations… They get booked and busy. I had a salad with grilled chicken and their duck soup that was a special. The red pepper sauce/dressing was out of this world. My husband enjoyed the cheese ravioli with a sauce … Plain but still so good. The bread they serve can easily fill you up so beware! We liked how they also offered half portions of items. The service was a little slow but very friendly. My parents went on a Saturday evening and loved it, said it was one of best meals they’ve ever had.

The staff and the ownership are incredibly rude. Just dropped over $ 400 on a meal with friends. We were 10 minutes late arriving which apparently gave them the right to rush the whole dining experience. When I mentioned this on the way out, the manager said«that’s because you were late». Great food but not enough to outweigh the rudeness we just experienced.

Marchitelli’s is my favorite place in Crested Butte for dinner. Basically, I will rarely go out for Italian since I feel I can make better at home. Here in the States, Marchitelli’s is one of the rare exceptions. Their house Chianti and Sangiovese are both usually very good. They have creative appetizers and numerous good daily specials, though I usually get the Veal Parmigiana. The service is exceptional and desserts are a perfect finish. Note — reservations are highly recommended.

These folks do a lot with a little. All of the staff hustle their butts off. The food and atmosphere are good. I definitely recommend it, but it’s not as good as some reviewers indicate. All of the pasta is dried, not fresh. Sysco boxes and jugs abound. That’s not surprising in a small restaurant in a small town, but that’s what you’re dealing with. The lasagna emerges from the back of the kitchen wrapped in plastic. It disappears in back again, only to emerge on a dinner plate. It’s then transferred to another dinner plate, topped with sauce, and served. What’s that? Frozen? Microwaved? Exactly, my dear Watson. In some dishes the scallops and clams are chopped – likely not fresh. Some sauces are too thin to properly cling to the noodle. A pan of pre-seared scallops sat on the cold side of the stove all night, waiting for someone to order them. The very pleasant kitchen guy would grab a handful of shrimp, then grab a handful of veal, then grab some beef, cross-contaminating the hell out of everything. I have to confess that I’m not bothered by that, but the health department would freak. But at the bottom line, here’s the thing: the food is good. My lasagna was hearty comfort food and I enjoyed it. It wasn’t particularly good lasagna(the meat was mixed in with the ricotta, so it was kind of un-layered glop), but it was good food served by fun, hardworking people. I’d go back.

Yes, this is a fun little Italian joint in CB, CO. We had a pretty yummy dinner with friends. There was nothing overtly fantastic about it and nothing bad. Totally agreeable Italian in the mountains.
