Beautiful place to eat some delicious tacos. I loved the patio lighting and inside décor. My boyfriend and I had the Oscar taco(the best taco I’ve eaten! Sirloin and lump crab with asparagus… yum!), chimmichuri shrimp, and steak teriyaki. We both enjoyed the guacamole, he liked the salsa(It reminded me of spicy marinara or thick spaghetti sauce, the only semi-complaint I can make!) We also ordered a $ 3 well rum and coke as well as a delicious white sangria. Marcos and Alberto were both joys! They took great care of us. Very friendly and polite with great service. I’ve already recommended them to my friends but really wanted the people of Unilocal to know of this place!

Last week, my husband and I met a friend at Le Taco, and I have absolutely nothing nice to say about our visit. When we walked in, we entered a small, empty room with a few tables and no host. After a moment, we wandered into the main room where there was only one other table seated. Since nobody approached us, we walked to the bar. The young man there said he thought the bar was closed, but that we could sit anywhere else. At the same time, a more authoritative man(manager? owner?) came around the corner. We checked to ensure they weren’t closing, and he mumbled something about it being the day after Halloween, therefor it was just slow. Okay. We sat and were soon greeted by a young, polite waiter who brought warm(heated) salsa to the table. I asked if it was a house specialty, and he wasn’t sure why I thought it was different than salsa anywhere else. I mentioned that it tasted a bit like chili, and he said«I think it’s red because they use a lot of tomatoes. Right. We ordered $ 4 Happy Hour margaritas, and I wish I could say they weren’t the worst drink I’ve ever had. The $ 6 side of guac tasted more like citrus than avocado. The rest of our food wasn’t anything to write home about, especially my salad, which had an Asian dressing. Le taco doesn’t sound like an Asian restaurant to me. Oh well. Had the restaurant been busier, the staff been more helpful, or the food/drinks been more edible, I might give this a 2nd shot(on a night that isn’t after a holiday, I suppose). I really don’t see any reason to go back. Drive down the street to Velvet Taco instead. They won’t disappoint!

The tacos here are AMAZING! The restaurant is nicely decorated and Marcos(the server) was legit. I got to meet the chef as well and he was very nice. If you’re looking for delicious tacos, come here!!!

I want to like this place. The music is good, place looks cool, but the people are clueless. We are a group of 4, on a rainy afternoon. There are 4 other patrons in the bar. The average time to get a drink is 15 minutes. They don’t come out at the same time. They don’t really check on you either. This is our second visit, and second sad experience. I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Unfortunately.

I do brunch regularly and this was my first time here. AAAAMAZING!!! I went with a group and we got mimosas(which were on point), the Le Torta and I was more than amazed. Perfectly cooked and the presentation was spectacular. I would recommend getting the egg with it. After we finished our main course we got the Nutella Taco. I thought it would be a basic dessert taco… I was wrong. It had this fried Plantain with the fresh cut strawberries! Yes yes yes!!! Along with the amazingly chill environment, I think this might be my new regular spot.

This place always surprises us! They update the menu monthly & just added at least four new champagne labels. They were short-staffed in the kitchen the most recent time we came, but the manager made it up to us for the wait. Looking forward to coming back.

The place itself is decent. We came here for brunch and the food was delicious. I ordered the avocado toast with eggs, and it was very tasty– I would highly recommend. However, the service was sub par at best! The waitress completely forgot to put our drink order in(2 carafes of sangria) and it wasn’t until one of us got up to check on the drinks, after waiting 20 minutes, that our order was actually taken care of. Let me also say that it was not busy at all… maybe a total of 5 tables– maybe! And it just felt like everything took way too long, including getting our check. Additionally, I probably would stay away from the sangria — it was not very good. There was not one piece of fruit in the sangria, which is disappointing. Also, personally, I have never heard of orange juice in white sangria, but maybe it’s just me! The waitress did comp us for one of the carafes, so that was nice. Overall, the service and drinks were not great, but the food was!

I like the ambiance but the food is blaaaaa. The grilled tuna tacos were gross. The texture was mushy and the flavor was just odd. A better word would be nasty. The buffalo tacos were edible but not that great. The Oscar was good. The thing I enjoyed the most were the chips and guacamole. The guacamole was fresh, spicy, and delicious! Unfortunately it’s not enough to earn a return visit. I understand they are trying to be creative with Mexican food, but this ones a fail. I’ll stick to Campuzano’s next door.

This place was just okay. The margaritas were good, but the tacos were overpriced and not that tasty. If you’re going to charge so much for a taco, at least make sure they come out warm. The interior looked cool and make sure to ask for the spicy red sauce to top your tacos. I would come back here to drink but Prob not for the tacos again.

Not impressed by the food or the service. The layout of restaurant is nicely thought out and inviting — but the tacos are average in taste and overpriced. I could make a better grilled shrimp & chimichurri taco for a fifth the price they charged. It was nothing to write home about. Two tacos equals two small tortillas, four shrimp, four spoons of roasted corn and some average tasting sauce. Really? The service was passable — when we asked what was recommended or popular the first thing out if his mouth was the most expensive thing on the menu. Okay, I get it. If this is the new twist on taco bars, then I’ll pass — I want to pay for tasty and well-proportioned food, not the cool vibe of the joint.

I ate here Sunday, i have been passing it up for weeks now and finally decided to drop in. The décor and set up was nice the staff was nice… So lets get in to the food and things. I think it was creative to put the water in a patron bottle that was cute. Im used to going to Mexican restaurants where chips and salsa is free, here you gave to pay. I ordered it anyway and the salsa is warm and tasty. Then i ordered to tacos. Im giving this review 3 stars b/c for the price of these tacos, i would expect the tacos to be bigger than a street size taco. Also prices online are different then at the restaurant. I ordered the Carnitas and smoked chicken confit the food was good but nothing to go tun and tell everyone you know about.

What a Great place. I just popped in for lunch. This is what I refer to as a Nouveau Mexican restaurant. It’s not traditional Mexican but it’s great. I had one each of the Carnitas tacos and of the Ginger Achiote Chicken tacos. They were both fantastic. The atmosphere is fun and the service was excellent ! I will certainly be back.

We have been here three times. Every time we’ve been nothing short of impressed by the food, service, and cocktails. They offer ample indoor and outdoor seating. Inside, you’ll enjoy cool A/C, a full cabinet of high end liquor, and cozy communal and bar seating. Their patio has fans and misters(a win in this Texas heat), and is dog friendly. The service is impeccable no matter where you sit. They’re genuine and professional. The food is excellent, we’ve tried about half of the menu, so we feel comfortable commenting on this. The chips are clearly made in house — they’re crispy and oily, they’re not thick and seasoned with weird spices like other places down the road on Oaklawn. The tortilla soup is thick and savory, loaded with generous helpings of chicken and tortilla chips, topped with their incredibly fresh guacamole. A must try. Our favorite taco that we’ve tried is the ‘Le Oscar’ taco. If you love seafood and/or truffles, this taco is for you. It’s amazing, the flavored are intense, and deep, and complex, and it will make you happy. It’s $ 9, but you should try it at least once. Next up on the favorites list is the portobello taco. They serve up a gracious serving of grilled portobello, cotija cheese, and slaw, culminating in the best vegetarian option I’ve ever had(I’m not a vegetarian, and I thought it had a hearty flavor) Finally, the Nutella taco is a must. Nutella, fried sweet plantain, and house made whipped cream. If you’ve never tried plantains, this is a fantastic introductory dish. Save room! The margaritas are made with lime juice, NOT sour mix(no Chili’s tier nonsense here), and are $ 4 on Fridays(frozen). They’re a great accompaniment to any taco. They’re strong though. The service has always been incredible. Three experiences in a row, and all fabulous.

I have to say, Le Taco Cantina has earned my respect. After I left my last review, the manager Meg reached out to me privately and apologized for our poor experience. She was polite and professional and took full responsibility for everything, assuring me that what we experienced was not up to Le Taco Cantina’s standards. She then offered to have me and my boyfriend come back for dinner on another night of our choosing, letting us know that she would take care of everything if we would be willing to give them a second chance. I was impressed by this incredibly kind treatment and couldn’t wait to give Le Taco another chance. Meg made us reservations for dinner on a Sunday night. We arrived Sunday to a fairly empty restaurant. There were other customers, but not nearly as many as last Sunday’s brunch, so the atmosphere was a lot more relaxed than the first time we dined. We requested a private table instead of their communal seating, and we were shown to a cozy corner booth where we could enjoy an intimate evening. Our server was Marco, and throughout our meal he was a delight. He brought us water right away, and we decided to start with an appetizer, the Papas Frites. They are shoestring fries, coated in salt and pepper, served with a wasabi mayo dipping sauce and a sriracha choron dipping sauce. They were delicious, and a really fun way to start the meal. Next we ordered the Young’s Farms Salad to share, and Marco brought it out pre-split on two plates, which was thoughtful. It’s a uniquely delightful salad of roasted corn, cucumber, onion and queso fresco on a bed of field greens and drizzled with a spicy ginger dressing. Very enjoyable. Then, we ordered our tacos. Three each, for a total of six, but we repeated one so there are only five in the breakdown. Here’s a breakdown of the tacos that we ate: Grilled Portobello: I really enjoyed this taco. There were thick, juicy strips of portobello, expertly grilled and laid out on a corn tortilla, drizzled with green chile sauce and given a generous sprinkle of cotija cheese. It felt almost like eating a meat taco, it was that hearty, and the flavors were excellent. Great vegetarian option. Chimichurri Grilled Shrimp: This is the taco we repeated(my boyfriend and I each ordered one). It was two large shrimps on a corn tortilla, topped with roasted corn, cucumber, and wasabi avocado sauce. Great flavors here, too, almost a sweet chipotle taste to it. Crunchy and satisfying. Fried Calamari: This was the fish of the day taco, deep friend calamari in a delectable sweet and sour sauce, served on a corn tortilla and topped with a thin slice of fresh avocado. I think this was my favorite taco of the night. The Asian fusion style really came to play here, and it was expertly executed. Seriously, order this while they still have it. Grilled Buffalo: I don’t eat red meat, so this was my boyfriend’s taco. He loved it. Juicy cuts of buffalo, caramelized onion, cabbage, chile sauce… he was all about this taco. He said it reminded him of truly authentic Mexican he’d had in his childhood. Ginger Achiote Chicken: This one was my boyfriend’s, too. It was actually a repeat order from our previous visit, he enjoyed it so much that time that he wanted to have it again. Served with jicama and tomatillo sauce. He said it was just as good the second time around. We finished the meal by sharing one Nutella Taco, and I have to say, WOW. That is a darn good dessert. They spread a thick layer of Nutella on a warm corn tortilla, then place two slices of fried plantain on that and top it with fresh cut strawberries. It’s served with a little cup of thick, housemade whipped cream, which you should definitely pile right on top because it really completes the dish. We were in chocolate heaven. Throughout the evening service was speedy, friendly and professional, and the food was top notch. Kudos to Meg for bringing us back, because now I totally love this place. If you love tacos, you will too.

I really wanted to give this place more stars. Good food, good drinks, but service was terrible. I know this place is new but it’s not like it’s their grand opening. We sat on the patio and got brought water immediately. After that we were on our own for about 15 minutes. Finally, someone came and asked it we wanted drinks and food. Two other groups sat around us and both got their drinks, food, and checks before we did. Not only did they bring us out someone else’s food(which was such a tease) but the two groups had eaten, paid, and left before our food ever came. The food was good, which is the only reason they are getting 3 stars. Maybe if they were actually attentive, this would be a go to spot. TNT is still my taco fix.

Le taco does great social media marketing. They followed me on Instagram and I followed back– giving my friends a month of me telling them we have to try this place out! Kudos marketing team The ambiance of this place is on point! We made reservations to be safe. Great décor with dark lit rooms and candles. The serve your water in patron bottles which adds a fun Mexican touch. The dinner menu is limited to salads, soups and tacos– street tacos– street tacos that will change your life. You do have to pay for chips and salsa. I really hate when people make you do that. $ 6 for guac… On Fridays they have $ 4 Frozen margs all day! By about 9pm their machine was backed up so they gave us on the rocks for the same price, holla! For the service we received I probably would have rated them a 3 but how they made it up to us was worth the 4 stars. They mixed a lot up and in return gave us an extra guac and a free round of drinks! I will definitely be back, the duck taco and the avocado taco were amazing!

Je adore Le Taco Cantina. The three clocks on the wall — one set to Phuket, one set to Paris, and one set to Mexico City — say it all. This delicious, and affordable restaurant meld Asian, French, and Mexican food in to one fantastic combination. I had the Le Oscar and it was out of this world. A word to picky eaters — the beef is almost raw so be sure you know what you are ordering. The lump crab meat was as real as it gets. No «sea sticks» here. I also had the Nutella taco as a dessert. The combination of the fried plantain, strawberry, and Nutella was absolutely mouth-watering. Normally, I don’t like corn tortillas, but they have a woman in the back making them fresh all day long so that must be the secret for me to like them. My coworker got her tacos on lettuce leaves because she is not eating carbs and that was an equally good option. There were so many tacos that sounded yummy, but I only got to try two today. That just means I have to come back. And I can’t wait! One additional positive is that the parking lot is fairly big for this part of town so you shouldn’t have a problem finding a spot.

Formally Scotch and Sausage(for about 5 minutes), Le Taco is delish! Highly recommended. In an area saturated with Mexican restaurants, it’s hard to stand out and be different, but they certainly are. The décor is very ‘day of the dead’ with a bit of an asian flair. Odd combo, but a cool ambiance. It’s family style seating. So if you want a private moment, this might not be the place for you as you’ll potentially share the table with strangers. For all you socialites, you’ll love it! I went with my brother and we tried a little bit of everything– check out the photos and try not to drool. I dare you! The brisket taco wasn’t your typical brisket. Usually brisket is served shredded. This was cubed which actually made it easier to eat. The sauce in the taco was sweet and spicy. The Cesar Salad had a tangy citrus kick to it. Yum! My brother got the street tacos. One of each flavor. I can’t remember what they were, but I think chicken, pork and something else. He really liked them all though. And said the sauce that was served with it gave it a spicy kick. The Manager came over to talk to us about our experience while we were there and he mentioned that they’ll be launching a larger dinner menu this evening. Looking forward to going back and trying more! Their prices are really fair too. Very affordable. My taco was only $ 4, the street tacos were $ 3 each(and the manager said they might start serving them at half price for happy hour) and my salad was $ 5. I know that’s probably just lunch prices, but still very reasonable. Check them out if you can. You won’t be sorry. Happy eating!

Street tacos, good drinks & brunch in Oaklawn — sign me up! This is for the owner Dylan and his commitment to his craft and to this restaurant. Regarding the review posted on 6÷10÷15 — I’ve never seen an owner line up his pride(and the facts) to defend his restaurant so effectively. I look forward to visiting Le Taco on my next trip to Dallas. Keep up the good work.

I AM a fan of this place! We went for happy hour and they have wonderful happy hour prices. $ 4 margs, $ 2 street tacos, $ 4 glasses of wine, etc. Here’s the breakdown: Margaritas: Pretty tasty… Nothing to write home about! Just your typical marg :) Tacos: Very small but very tasty. I had the chicken tacos and they were delicious. It comes with cilantro/onion and the sauce both on the side so you can fix it how you like. I appreciate this! My boyfriend had the other two street tacos on the HH menu and he liked them as well. He then ordered another regular taco and he enjoyed it. However, I think the regular tacos(they are the same size as the street tacos) are way too expensive. Service: Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. However, we thought it was a little strange because the staff held a brief meeting in the area right next to us and we could hear everything. I understand this is a new place but I think that makes customers feel a little awkward. Definitely check this place out for Happy Hour… :)

Love the layout of this place, super trendy. Their drinks were good and really strong. Now the food, extremely over priced and the tacos are tiny. At $ 3 a taco I would expect them to atleaat come with a side but no sides. The torta burger was good nothing amazing. Happy I came here to check it out but will definitely not be coming back. For the price I would opt for Meso Maya or Masa

Came here with friends for Sunday night reverse HH. First off: parking! Easy and simple! One of the few places around Dallas that has self parking. The place was about half full, so we seated ourselves inside(too humid outside) and waited for our waitress. She came rather quickly and took our drink orders. She recommended that we put in our food orders since the kitchen was backed up. Slow was an understatement. Our drinks came 20 minutes after we ordered them, and our food(street tacos and chips came almost an hour after ordering). We had ordered chips/salsa, but she added guacamole for free since there was such a significant delay. The tacos were delish, and we literally licked the guac bowl clean(so good). But the highlight was the Nutella/banana taco for dessert. OMG. When I go back, I’m only ordering that. Overall a neat place and good prices for HH.
