As an avid sports fan, I am always looking for an intimate environment where the drinks and food are good, and the sports viewing options are plentiful. In the Pour House, I’ve found both. The owners/bartenders are very sports savvy and are more than happy to share their opinions on just about any sport out there. Maybe not badminton. There is a comfortable feeling when you walk in and after a couple of visits you are a recognizable regular and most likely they’ll start your first beverage without having to ask. Regardless of your team affiliation, they will do their best to make sure your favorite team is playing on one of the many TVs. In short, I’ve found home base.

The pour house is a small little bar perfect for SNF, MNF, and some brewskis! JR and I came for MNF and sat at the bar where Tim, the bartender served us. Tim was very attentive and had our orders right away. We ordered some brews and appetizers, but the food is where pour house lacks. We ordered the fried appetizer sampler(which only allows u to choose up to three in a sampler, between fried onion rings, fried mozzarella sticks & fried pickles) so we chose the fried pickles and mozz sticks. Fried pickles were thinly sliced with a super crispy batter but waaaaay too salty. I couldn’t tell if it was the batter or the pickle in itself so I ate it separately and sure enough, both the batter and pickle were overly salted. Couldn’t finish them. Fried mozz were really good with the marinara sauce but the two of these together was not worth the $$… I believe $ 8.50? Next, we ordered the chips & queso(with no meat). Queso was«okay» but again, overly priced. Would I come back for more brewskis and jameson & sprites? Probably! But definitely not for the food. But what’s football without some appetizers to go with the perfect drink? PS, the bathroom soap in the women’s bathroom is in the Purell hand SANITIZER dispenser!!! I was about to have a fit because I was thinking, wow. This bar seriously doesn’t have hand soap??! Disgusting! So I thought, the next best thing is this hand sanitizer… But it happened to be soap. Lol

Great place to watch sports, tons of tvs. Always incredible service. The food is amazing. You have to get the fried pickles. Also they have the best pizza in Dallas.

Wanted to update my 2008 review. Happy to confirm it still stands! I can’t say enough good things about Pourhouse. Locally owned by two guys(I believe), one of whom is super friendly and one of whom is a little bit surly, but in a good way. Its kinda funny – he actually seems to be really cool. Anyway, the tots are still the standout star of the show in my opinion, plus all of their food is just really excellent. When speaking of Lakewood, people seem to mention Cosmos or Landing more than Pourhouse, so maybe it is kind of a dark horse. Don’t miss it! As the regulars know, it is a great venue for watching games and when games aren’t on, it is a perfect neighborhood watering hole. BONUS: if it isn’t on the table, ask for a bottle of their special Pourhouse hot sauce for those tots. They may even sell you a bottle if you ask!

I love a place that doesn’t allow kids after 7:00. Large and plenty of TVs to watch the game. Deep eddy on draft served at a perfect temperature. Yum! I’ll be back this Saturday for service industry night.

Stopped here for a beer and a pizza tonight, and the service, beer, and pie were excellent. Overall, this is an excellent neighborhood bar. Pour House, I shall return.

The Pour House is a nice place near downtown in Lakewood to get a good drink. It will remind you a whole lot of Cheers the TV show, it’s a place were regulars come in and what their whistles. The beer drink selection is good, although my rum and Cokes are a bit flat and can use a little bit more alcohol. The food is also so-so but there are other places to go to get a good meal. The chips and queso with meat was very underwhelming. They just dumped a bunch of under-seasoned hamburger meat on top of some average queso. You’re better off just getting a regular order of queso and enjoying your drink. Overall, This is a good spot and I’d recommend it.

I’ve never been here for a game. For dinner after work, it’s pretty empty and quiet. A perfect neighborhood bar — a little dark, lots of muted TVs, and no one under 21. A typical dinner of beer, pizza, and beer have been consistently good and relatively quick to arrive. The service has been efficient. I’ll have to keep the recommendations for tots and salad in mind for the next time I visit.

Nice to find a neighborhood sports bar with a ton of TV’s, great sight lines, above average food. Service was attentive and friendly, even at an off-peak time due to afternoon college bowl action. It’s one for the list if you are looking for a true, casual sports bar in the area… nothing against gastropubs or restobars, but sometimes you just want a drink, a chair, and a lot of TVs in a relaxed atmosphere.

I love this place!!! Amazing burgers, amazing pizza, strong wings, and lovely fried ravioli! Cheap beer and LOTS of TVs to watch sports. I do believe this is one of the few bars in Dallas that will cater your team’s game. My bf is a steelers and packers fan and they will find a TV so he can watch the games… Oh and lots of specials during the wk!

Poor Pour House. I have not really been here many times, and not sure why. It’s a pretty perfect Kristie bar. They have so many TV’s so it was perfect for watching MNF last night. It’s just very loud so don’t go to have conversations with your friends, but it’s football you shouldn’t be talking anyway. I ordered the Lakewood burger which has Muenster cheese and sourdough bread. It was great. The bread was huge as well as the hamburger patty, but the bread was so fresh it was easy to push it all together to shove it in your mouth. I ordered regular tots with my burger. The loaded are way better dipped in ranch, duh… I had some of my friend’s meaty queso with chips and that was some of the best queso I have had in a long time. Our poor Pour House waitress was the only one working last night alongside one bartender. That was poor Pour House(sorry once I started I can’t stop) planning. The place was packed. I was pretty lucky to never have an empty drink, but a lot of my friends sat without drinks and one of my friends had a tray of beer dropped on her back. Shit happens for sure and we all felt bad for the waitress. I definitely want to come back and try more of their burgers or try some of the pizza that comes from the place next door. Yums.

I like this place for Sunday football. Is not too crowded that you can’t find a seat, fans from all teams, and rather laid back. The bartender was also the waitress for the place the last time i went and was rather tentative considering it appears she was manning the whole place. The have plenty of beer and cider on tap which is s bonus for me. Parking is never bad either.

This bar is great if you want to watch a non-Dallas team play! They always find a TV to put your game on! Food is good and service is always quick and friendly!

The owner that works on Friday is the biggest A-hole ever. Thinks he is a cop because he thinks he is friends with them. Any other night he isn’t there its a great place. The man needs his teeth knocked out and an attitude adjustment. Or maybe let the other owner take over as he has no place dealing with the public. Sick of his complete lack of respect and just being unfriendly. Not going back. Hey A-hole if you can’t handle your job like a man, quit. If you aren’t happy with your choices you made in life that’s your problem. Don’t take it out on other people because you are a loser. We didn’t make you that way, YOU did. Such an unpleasant person. Texas doesn’t need you. You give your other owner a bad reputation with your attitude. I feel bad for the people who have to deal with him.

Things to note: 21 and over, so don’t bring your kids or any other young’ns! Also, they have a huge parking lot behind the restaurant that you can access through a driveway between the building and the next, so don’t be worried if the lot on Skillman looks full. The major appeal of the Pour House is, as Chris E. rightly points out, the tots. They are delicious, seriously. The large salads are pretty huge, and the chicken add-on for $ 2 is a good value(it real chicken, not the bag-o-strips bullshit). They also offer a bunch of burgers and one veggie burger option. Didn’t see any chicken or other types of ‘burgers’, though they do offer a grilled cheese. The interior is divided up in a kind of funky way, with a half wall separating the bar from the table seating, of which there isn’t much. They have a few standing video games, and a full bar selection, in addition to a few projector screens for watching sporting events.

Met some mom-type friends here for some evening drinking. And don’t get me wrong, because we are mom’s does not mean we are not cool or going for our pro status when it comes to tipping a few back. Mom’s are the best drinkers in the world – we have to be. I had a margarita. It’s on the menu with a little box around it so it must be okay. It was okay. $ 10.29 each okay. No wonder they didn’t have a price next to it. It was kinda like a speed trap with booze, don’t know until it’s too late to stop. Waitress was not pleasant. The place was a ghost town at 10 p.m. on a Saturday night and she barely checked on us. I would have mistakenly drank more if she’d have come by a few more times. I did not order food. My cohorts did and it looked okay, however they were unimpressed. There’s a lot of bars that serve good food, have a nice beer selection and super friendly folks. I try to support the tried and true locals when I can, but the Pour House is making it hard.

This is an awesome neighborhood bar. Great staff, all the TVs you could want(even on the covered patio) and even though their food was delicious before, the new menu is just fantastic. I like my burgers med rare and I have never had one come out overcooked. Perfectly frosty beers and amply poured drinks. Dogs welcome on the patio too, bonus! And nooooo, I’m not biased because I live within walking distance. I’m biased because I live within stumbling distance. Duh.

Solid dive bar in a good location. The tacos there are great. I ordered nachos once and they came out a little cold but the waitress took care of if and they were really good afterwards. It’s best to go here with a group of friends when you start the night out. It’s a good place to grab some tasty bar food and grab some drinks. I wouldn’t recommend it for a date or dinner with family. I just moved to the area and I always like to find a nice chill bar nearby for nights I just want to hang out and have a beer.

A pretty low-key spot. Casual. Many of the locals drink here. Feels slightly like a sports bar and that everyone seems to know everybody. Friendly. –it’s not my preference honestly. I thought I give it a try since I’m in the neighborhood.
