Quinn was on the docket for 2010 quest for the best dive bar this Friday night(along with Trade winds). We started here around 8:30 on a rainy Friday night and the inside was packed. No available tables. Luckily 2 nice gentleman were about to leave, saw 10 girls standing around and offered us their table. On one condition, they sit with us for one drink. Ugh, get a life 50 something year old men. No only did 80% of the girls at the table have wedding rings on, but their husbands were at the bar! Alas, we wanted their table so we obliged. I liked: Prices Selection of beer/alcohol EXCELLENT jukebox Food looked pretty good. My friend ordered a patty melt by the bartenders suggestion and she said it was great. I disliked: Sewage odor that emitted from the bathroom. Unfortunately our table was located close to it, so anytime someone went the bathroom we got a nasty whiff. Patio is not covered. They patio is large and spacious, but since there is no covering, during the rain everyone is forced to pack like sardines inside. No bueno. Music was not loud enough for the excellent juke box. It was a good bar, I would come again, but it nowhere near the top of the Quest for the Best.

Quinn Bar has officially become my bar. I come here very often now with a couple of my co-workers, and the bartenders all know us and our drinks by now. Sadly, there has been pretty high employee turnover just in the year I’ve been going there, but Quinn Bar is under new management now, and the ever-so-lovely Whitney is still there(woohoo!). She’s the veteran. The atmosphere is GREAT, the other bar-goers are very friendly, and they JUST started carrying Sailor Jerry rum(my favorite!). I have nothing bad at all to say about this place. Another added bonus is the food — it really is great. Honestly, it’s the best bar food I’ve ever had. I’ve tried a lot of different things on the menu, and I’ve never been disappointed… whether it was the Patty Melt, the Toasted Natural(my personal favorite), the Grilled Cheese, the Hot Dog(Nathan’s, thank you very much!)… it’s all great. My friends religiously get the Fish & Chips, and none of us have ever had bad food here. Really just an awesome bar… definitely my favorite in Dallas. I’m a total regular nowadays. lol

I adore this place. Not to mention its in my hood, the fabulous OC. You can come to this place at 1am on a Friday night or 2pm on a Sunday. Good drinks, nice comfy couch in the back. They have an awesome outdoor patio with a TV, but its only on when something of importance is on… i.e. major games… etc. So it’s not a constant distraction. LOVE their juke box. Um, hello, Led Zeppelin? Beastie Boys? Super. The bar tenders are great… über cool and very generous. Try the mini slider burgers… it will feed your addiction. The food here isn’t greazy nasty bar food, its actually really scrumptious! I went on a Sunday afternoon with some friends and we played card games(yes! there still fun!!) and we sat for hours, and the waiter was so nice. We told him to keep the drinks(and cheese fries for that matter) coming! The weekends do a very good business. The drinks are awesome, pull up a chair outside(or even inside) hang out… no one will bother you. You can bring your dog… whatever! I love this place. Its kind of a dump and looks like a barn from the outside, but who doesn’t love an old fashioned bar with wicked good food? I know I do!

Great neighborhood bar and $ 2.00 pints of Miller Lite are always good in my book. Quinn is surprisingly small, the bar takes up the entire back wall and about 8 – 10 table make up the rest of the bar. Luckily they have plenty of bar seating and a reasonably sized patio, if not for the 105 degree weather outside I would have been sitting on it underneath the trees. Quinn also has a full menu, sandwiches, burgers, mainly bar food, but something worth trying if your in the mood. The cheap beer and the friendly service will have me coming back to this bar. I’m looking forward to sitting out on the patio when the weather decides to cooperate.

If I lived in Dallas I could see Quinn’s being my watering hole. It’s a bit dark inside, with a nice tall bar that had purse hooks! There are a few tables and chairs and couches that provide a lounge like seating inside and outside they have a nice patio to sit on with a bunch of tables and chairs. Through out the bar they have those old school Pizza Hut candle holders in both red and gold glowing between the bottles and on the bar, the bartender also joked that they serve beer by candle light because that’s pretty much the only lights they have behind the bar. The bartender was awesome she was this cute 5″ ball of fire with a lot of spunk we loved her, she was too cute for words but tough at the same time and from her I learned about the fruit fly nipple covers for the bottles, something we don’t have to worry about in Seattle. On to the good stuff, at least in my perspective they have good beer on tap both Stella and Hoegaarden and get this it’s only $ 4.00 a pint and that wasn’t even a happy hour price. I can’t find either for that price in Seattle anywhere especially not at happy hour. Blue Moon was also only $ 4.00 a pint and the ‘shitty’ beers were $ 3.00, inexpensive good beer was a treat for me to find. The ladies room was clean but it was pretty old and is in need of a facelift; it was a bit dingy but it was sanitary at the same time. Plus it was well stocked with toilet, paper towels and soap, so ladies don’t be afraid to use it. Everything was going great I was really digging and loving this place than I smelled it, crap someone is smoking, I forgot not every place is smoke free so Quinn’s lost a star for that one but I think I’d still go back next time I’m in town I’ll just remember to double up on the Claritin before entering.

Awesome place! Definitely feels like a neighborhood bar. They have a pretty decent selection of beer, and the friend I was with was impressed with the choices of scotches. It was a little too chilly to sit out on the patio, but I imagine on a nice day that would be fun to do. The bartenders were super friendly. We played the juke box and talked music with them all night. The greasy smell from the kitchen was a little overwhelming, and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, but the menu looked good, so I will go back and try the food.
