A convenient, easily accessible liquor store if you live in The Village, but the prices aren’t as good as Spec’s typically(and neither is the selection, of course). It’s also annoying and alarming that you will basically be followed and watched from afar by either a cop or an employee stationed in the middle of the store. Is this a particularly crime-ridden liquor store? Who knows.

Rude customer service with drunk customers. Never coming back.

I give this location 5 stars only because the day my boyfriend and I dared to enter was the day of the Dallas St. Patty’s day parade. This location is located on Lovers Lane and the street was of course shut down for the parade. Well when we walked in and saw the line we thought about if waiting in the line was worth it but my boyfriend needed refrigerates and a couple tiny shots. Well We decided to get what we need and wait in line, they had three lines going. And I kid you not we were in and out in under 10 minutes! The way their cashiers so efficiently checked out people had the already tipsy people happy and the people that were not quite there yet even happier. I was impressed with how great they handled the madness, this place rocks!

The selection isn’t amazing, but it’s decent. The help in the store was great. Santa Claus(sorry, I didn’t get his name, but you know what he looks like!) gave me insights ranging from a review of the offerings of the type of wine I wanted, wine label design, and the effect of prohibition on the mary jane industry. ‘Twas awesome.

Awesome selection, great prices, wonderful people! Becky and her staff make alcohol purchasing from this location a truly fun experience — I wouldn’t shop anywhere else for my beer, wine and liquor!

Just like any other Sigel’s this location has the great selection and knowledgeable staff and great prices. I want to give a big shout out to Becky Petty, she helped us out with our St. Patricks day tailgate, we really appreciate her help!

A word of advice. In the customer service industry, you really need to watch your tone if you’re going to point out that a customer looks tired. My primary reason for visiting Dallas was to pay my last respects to my Grandfather. I understood that the attendant’s first language was not English, but he should know that in any language, it’s not what you say, but how you say it. I completely understand that he only saw that I was tired and probably felt that the last thing I needed to do was purchase a bottle of Jack Daniel’s and a 2 liter of Coke. I think it’s safe to assume that this is common practice in most cultures when they lose someone they love. Especially if you just came from the actual funeral. Not the wake. Just a little insight. I could also tell he understood once I shared this with him. I wrote this just as a little reminder to think about that next time he sees someone else come into his store who looks tired. You don’t know the whole story, so it’s probably best to leave it alone.

This is THE wine store in Dallas. The staff are first rate; I’m a seasoned wine collector and these guys offer impressive insights on wine. If you’re a beginner, forge a personal relationship with the wine staff and over time, you will get an excellent education in wine. They will also take the trouble to learn your tastes, so that they will be able to consistently make recommendations that you will be happy with. The selection is quite good and if they don’t have what you’re looking for in the store, they will try to get it for you(they have a huge inventory off-site).

They have more alcohol to select from than your average neighborhood liquor store but they don’t have the largest variety either. The people that work there are very helpful when you need to find something or need a food/wine pairing. If you need mixer suggestion, your out of luck. They know the basics like hot toddys, manhattan, etc. but not much about exotic concoctions. I go here if I’m already in the area and I just need to get an item and get out quickly. The check out lines move very quickly if there is a line at all.

On the way home from an always marvelous meal at the Libertine, the girl and I decided to stop off at Sigel’s to get a six pack of a new craft beer to enjoy while watching MLB Network coverage of free agent watch. Now, I went into this location when I was in undergrad, but I guess that I didn’t realize just how big their selection is for just about anything. While going to the back towards their wide selection of beer, you walk through about 2,000+ varieties of wine. That’s not an exaggeration, btw. 2,000+ different types of wine. While I was debating on either the Saint Arnold’s Santo or Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, the girl approached an employee in the wine section and asked if they had Est! Est! Est!!!, a wine from Montefiascone that she has never been able to find in the States. Though they didn’t have it(no surprise there), we were delighted to see that the employee was very familiar with the brand and other Viterbo wines. With a six pack of Santo in hand, we made our way to the counter, only to be stopped by another employee. However, he didn’t want to hassle us in any way. He just wanted to ask if we’ve tried that before and if we saw the limited edition St Arnold’s Sailing Santa in the 22 oz bottles. With the level of product knowledge and superb customer service, we will be back to this Sigel’s whenever we are doing craft beer or wine pairing shopping. Fantastic experience.

How do I give Zero stars? This was the worst buying experience I’ve had in years. My wife forgot her ID – for a lush, this is an understandable but uncommon occurrence. Luckily, I – her husband – was there to provide identification. While this seems straightforward to those of us living in the real world, reason skipped right over the Sigels on Greenville Ave. The manager gave me a crazed look, bared her meth-eaten teeth, and in a shriek evoking Lucifer himself demanded to see our marriage license. She then proceeded to explain the terrors of maximum security penitentiary: her cellmate Sue Ellen’s halitosis, sandpaper-quality TP, and unspeakable acts involving a toothpick. See, without my marriage license manager lady goes straight to the slammer. By this point I’m thoroughly confused and a little put off. But for the most part wondering if I’m being Punkd. I’m trying to be amenable here, so I pick out a couple of beverages for my own personal consumption, exit Wife, stage right. Nope! Now I have insulted not only their intelligence but their honor as well. Out of the corner of my eye, the stock boy starts shuffling my direction. Walking while keeping his pants up seems to absorb 100 percent of his mental capacity. Then he leans at me with a paint-huffing grin and kindly suggests I «get the hell out»; cue ‘Dueling Banjos’ from Deliverance. Run, don’t walk to the nearest exit. Sans wine. I might have expected such rough treatment when I was sixteen… But that was more than a decade ago. Now as a professional in my late 20s I’m proud to say I’ve been of-age for a good long while. It will be another good long while before I go back to this veritable house of horrors. Someone let me know when the old lady drops dead from scurvy so I can enter without fearing involvement in her amphetamine-fueled hallucinations. Where is Ashton Kutcher when you need him?

Sigel’s on Greenville is the same as the one on Inwood… they’re both very spacious and offer a HUGE selection of every kind of booze you want. Staff is always friendly and ready to give you suggestions and advice and they really know their stuff! Don’t be afraid to ask them questions and tips on how to select the best of what you want because 99.9% of the time they know the answer and they’ll pick out something great for you!

Sigel’s is ok but there prices across the board seem a littl more than Goody Goody(which is my preference). This store is big and has a good selection.

Moderate selection liquor and beer that will have most of what you want. Staff was helpful/friendly/funny and knowledgeable about whiskey. Wish there was a Spec’s around, but this will do.

This is the equivalent to Bev Mo. Came here for 2007 Duckhorn Merlot, I felt ripped off but whatever…(again comparing it to San Francisco/Bay Area prices.) The cashier was crazy slow and had to call a manager to find the price on the comp. Overcharged me $ 6.00 but was too lazy to drive back and call them out on it.

This is my favorite place to buy alchie! The employees are always really nice and thank me for coming in each time. One did comment about how busy they were and it was only say, 10:30 ish. I sheepishly told him I was getting ready for a day at the pool and that was my excuse. They frequently will have tastings of different product and have great sales. Sign up for their mailing lists and they will send you all the deets. They also have held events like vodka or tequila tastings where you will be able to try a bunch of different kinds! Neat! Selection is quite large and I was able to find my FAVORITE go to wine here. After I talked to an employee about it and some other suggestions, I came back to find it featured as an employee pick! Maybe, I do have some sort of taste :)
