I am a HUGE soccer fan and this is the place to watch ALL soccer games. MLS, BPL, La Liga, Seria A, German League. I love them all! Their beer selections and prices are top notch! I have only tried their fish and chips once, but I give it 5 stars. I can’t wait for the rest of the season to go watch my games there. One thing I love about this place are the other bar patrons. Everyone here loves soccer and get into every game!

After a recent visit to London, with the glorious memory of fish and chips still fresh in my mind, I felt compelled to visit this pub. We went at the opportune hour between breakfast and lunch when sunday brunch and their regular menu were both offered. A few bites of omlette and many malt vinegar fries later, I was a fan! Given England’s close proximity to Scotland, their extensive whiskey menu was a fitting addition to their dozen or so tap beers. But being such a causal place, I was surprised to see so many high end scotches and bourbons. I’ll take a little shepherd’s pie with my Blanton’s please! The Londoner looks like it sounds, like a pub on Fleet Street. The wooden patio was a nice, american accessory. Great spot for people watching– it’s not quite Fleet St. but Thomas Ave. does have some of it’s own drunken characters.

Has all the important soccer(or football depending on who you ask) games you need and a pretty chill front patio. I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much from the food, but the buffalo chicken sandwich I had was actually pretty awesome. My one gripe was that my whiskey on the rocks seemed a bit watered down so I’m gonna go ahead a subtract a star for that one. However, would def recommend for a few drinks, some soccer watching, and good food.

We went to the Londoner on a Thursday evening to play trivia with some trivia-fanatic friends. The trivia in itself was rather fun, but not the greatest I had been to. I don’t know if it’s for every trivia night, but the place was really crowded and we couldn’t get a table even though we got there early! The atmosphere is a big plus, it really looks like a British pub. As for the food… hmm… Regular bar food, and the British were never famous for the sophistication of their cuisine.

The place has a great really chill, laid back, beer garden kinda feel. The patio is cool looking, I have only been when it is super cold so I had no desire to go outside. I love the upstairs, it’s a little more private and quieter.

Love the neighborhood and love this bar. Sit outside, it’s nice. They’ve got heat and fans out there. The drink selection is pretty good. They’ve got some specialty drinks that we very tasty as well. The menu was just what we were looking for. A memorable dish was the tomato soup w/bread. It doesn’t sound special, but it was seriously one of the best things we had there. If i lived nearby, I’d be having a pint and this soup on a very regular basis. When I come back to Dallas, I’ll be back here.

Walking into The Londoner, I felt as though I had been plopped down in the heart of dark and dreary 19th century London: low ceiling, dark oak furnishings, a fireplace. Though I guess the rendition wasn’t entirely authentic – the big screen TVs streaming EPL(English Premier League) sort of ruined that!(But seriously, it’s one of the best places to watch«football» in Dallas – the website has a full listing of the games to be shown.) On a cold winter evening, you can’t go wrong with a pint of beer and the Shepherd’s Pie. Piping hot mashed potatoes, seasoned ground beef, a thick gravy, and gruyère cheese: it’s the epitome of British comfort food. And who said the Brits have bad food?! And by far the best day to go is Monday, when happy hour is served all day. This entails dollar-off drafts, domestic bottles, and wells. But the best part is the half-off food, making your Shepherd’s Pie a steal at only $ 6! So if you’re looking to watch some«football» with people who as genuinely excited about it as you, catch up with a friend over shepherd’s pie and some pints, or just get in touch with your«Inner Brit», you should definitely consider The Londoner!

The hubs thought he’d died and gone to heaven. From the neighborhood to the divey pub vibe to the amazingly witty staff, this place made us want to skip our flight and say«What the heck… let’s just hang out, watching the game and drink a pint… forever.» The food ain’t too shabby either. Best fish and chips we have ever had and the curry? Oh Lordy… get it with a side of pita — its the best! This place has a great patio area and plenty of TVs with brunch on Sunday until 3. Great beer and cider selection, great food, great vibe… a slice of the UK right in the heart of uptown!

Awesome food! Everything from pizza, to burgers and even Indian dishes are a notch up on the competition. I always enjoy whatever kind of food I order here. Seriously you won’t be disappointed. But top it off with the perfect place to have drinks on a Friday or Saturday with the best DJ’s in town and I’m sold! Drinks are stiff! The bar tenders are very good at what they do and make sure everyone gets what they need quickly. The scenery is always great, but add to it most of the scenery has good personality too and DOUBLEWIN. Bottom line: Good people, good drinks, good food and great music. Dance your ass off and be the fool you’ve always wanted to be. You’ll have a great time.

I rarely come to uptown a lot, but I have been venturing out of my 5 mi bubble more to see what’s out there. I was at Londoner for a fundraiser event for dogs(Yappy Hour). The bar let customers bring their dogs out and let all of them hang out on the patio. It was a cool concept and a great way to mingle with other dog owners. I’m a sucker for patios, but the patio is a little small here, and parking is extremely difficult here. There is $ 5 valet, so I recommend doing valet. Service was a little slow, but the food is pretty good. All of their appetizers are pretty good except I wasn’t a huge fan of their hummus. Who knew that a pub would serve a variety of curry dishes? Being Indian, I’m skeptical on places that serve curries, but I must say, I was pretty impressed with the chicken tikke masala dish. It was extremely tasty, and the nan that goes with it was fresh. I also recommend the flatbread pizzas too,

The Londoner is truly a slice of London right smack in the middle of State Thomas/Uptown. When I really want great drinks, great pub fare, and a great patio, the Londoner always comes to mind. We recently returned from a trip to the UK and after falling in love with the pubs over there, the Londoner is a nice transplant of pub culture right here in the Big D. They’ve got a fantastic bar food menu with lots of British classics as well as your standard bar favorites. They also have daily drink specials and a rotating menu of specialty beers on tap. I definitely enjoyed the $ 1 mimosas this past Sunday(Yea, I know… not your typical pub drink. But I feel like mimosas are a universal Sunday pleasure) Both the Fish & Chips as well as the Chicken & Chips are great choices. It’s a great non-pretentious spot with friendly staff. Everyone here has always been very friendly and attentive. The crowd here seems to always be low key and casual. The inside bar is a tad dark so I much prefer the massive patio. Also, if you enjoy watching soccer/football, they’ve always have all the matches on here. I highly recommend the Londoner whether it be a night out or a lazy Sunday brunch to nurse the previous night’s hangover!

Awesome place, located on the wrong side of town… No you don’t need to bring your shiv here, but since it’s in uptown its unfortunately packed with pretentious pricks. However, it a nice cozy pub at night or in the winter that also has a great outdoor patio dining area in warmer months. Theyre food is really solid, def some of the better fish and chips around dfw. If your dining for brunch or anytime for that matter give the hp bloody mary a try! Bad ass!

Best damn curry menu I have seen for a British Pub in America! Don’t be fooled by the over-excessive Great Britain design — the menu is not your average ‘bar food.’ With the impressive beer inventory, this place is a guaranteed set-up to have fun. Among their somewhat obnoxious neighbors, The Londoner holds true to the British Pub appeal: dark wood, beer schtiens hanging from the ceiling, old-school family crests, and most importantly the chill, down-to-earth crowd just meeting up to have a genuine good time.

I visit this Londoner location the most during my Uptown shenanigans. Thursday night Trivia is always a good time. Last time we got a free $ 10 bar tab because we were the worst at trivia overall and did not win a single round. I have never been so honored. If you are having trouble ordering food, I’d definitely go for shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, and definitely get a side of the portobello fries. They have a large selection of beer and beer on tap, and the rotating bottles and seasonal drinks are delicious.

Dog friendly, people friendly, and beer friendly. It’s got it all! The Londoner is a mainstay for soccer aficionados. They have the TV schedule for the year’s soccer games posted all over the place and on any given day you can walk in and find soccer fans decked out in their fan gear cheering, clapping, maybe even crying. This place has over 25 beers on tap and has happy hour from 4 – 7 everyday except Saturday. Their food menu is ok, it’ll do just fine to satiate a case of the munchies. They have everything from fries & wings to curry with bismati rice which is actually decent. Parking really sucks so you might have to park in the lot behind the Londoner and just walk.

Best Fish N Chips in Dallas! Don’t get me wrong. I like the Old Monk but this place beats them hands down. Unfortunately, I hardly ever order the fish n chips anymore because I am ADDICTED to the Steak and Ale pie! My solution? Make your dinner companion order one of each and split them! not into the fish thing? Hampton Cheese fries… NOMNOMNOM or the chips and curry. Shepherd’s pie… even Chicken Tikka Masala is tasty! I honestly have not had a bad meal here… and they have definitely improved the wine selection… nice two story patio… good service. they show Soccer games live for you EPL lovers… the only problem i have is that Barry the owner is a Chelsea fan… but he’s super nice so i will let it slide… (this review is only for the one in uptown or frisco the addison one is not related and the food there is sub par in my opinion)

Service on the patio? Not the best I’ve ever experienced. Fish and chips? Totally delicious. After a long time away from living in Austin, I went to my favorite place for F&C and they changed the recipe on me! I was sooooooo disappointed. Thankfully, The Londoner came through and erased the crappy memory of the fish and chips from my local spot. The beer list could have been a bit more extensive, but it’s definitely doable. I would have expected a few more foreign stuff on tap… but overall, the list was drinkable, and the patio is a pretty fun spot for people watching. Next time I’m in Dallas and have a craving for some fish and chips, you better believe that’s where you’ll find me!

This is a good place to come and have a few drinks with your friends and relax! Drinks are reasonable for being in uptown! I had the fish and chips while I was there and let me tell you!!! It tasted like it came straight out of a pub in Ireland… a little pricey! $ 13 for just two pieces of fish and a bunch of fries plus… my friend said the fries were soggy… but they were fine for me! I would definitely come back because there’s no music here because of the loud city ordinance law so you can actually hear people talk and mingle! Loves it!!! and it’s not a very materialistic place where people dress to the nine to come here. People I saw were very casual!

I felt like I was in some turn of the century European Inn, with darts and different seating areas, including big chairs by a fireplace, tables, a bar and a big patio. My friend said he totally felt like Precious eating the plate of cheese fries. «Do you eat this every day?» Uh no, but come on, life’s too short not to have cheese fries every once in awhile. Mad liquor selection, decent wine and of course tons of beer. Supposedly this pub is owned by an English dude. We had plenty of room on a Wednesday, but I heard it gets wild busy on the weekends.

This is a GREAT happy hour place. Super HH specials! The servers are hilarious. No BS type of people… example: BF: «What do you have on tap?» Waitress: «Did you look at the menu, cause they’re listed there.» HA! YES! I like her! She said it with a smile on her face, which made it even more hilarious. It was right before Halloween so during our patio happy hour the owner(I think) and his son were changing the light bulbs from Red to Orange. Totally fun and spunky! We ordered food and my burger was absolutely, incredibly and unbelievably messy and yummy!!! That’s the key to a great burger… the more mess the better. I think I went through 100 napkins. Big juicy crack pot. BF got fish and chips, and I don’t think he looked up from his plate once. That’s what I love a bar bar, serving great food! A wonderful surprise! YAY! Awesome patio for enjoying a lovely happy hour. By the time we left(3 hrs later) the place was packed. Thank you Londoner for your amazing smart ass waitress and the great drinks! See you next time!
