I missed a flight from Dallas to Phoenix. Airline put us up at the Wyndham garden. We did not arrive to Dallas until 11:30 pm. We waited 2 hours outside on a very warm and humid night for the courtesy van. When we. Called the hotel we were told the driver was on his way. After several calls from the 13 other passengers we were finally picked up in a 10 passenger van. Very uncomfortable. The room I was assigned had fecal matter in the toilet and the bathroom needed a little cleaning help. The next morning I Was told the only place for breakfast was the restaurant right off the lobby. It was a $ 15.00 buffet that was more like a complimentary breakfast at other hotels. Don’t think I will ever spend another night there.

We stayed here in August when coming to visit our families. We live in CA but are Dallas natives. Kind of weird to stay in hotel in your hometown… hahaha. I just randomly picked this place and what a good choice. We absolutely loved this place. We got a super great deal/rate thru Expedia(i think it was a daily deal or something)…it was a steal. Even without the special it would still be worth it to stay here. We could not believe the place when we walked in. Super spacious and the rooms were HUGE. Soft beds and room was very clean. Nice pool — indoor & outdoor. Free wifi. Friendly staff. Separate living area. You could live there. Great central location, would not really stay in any other location in Dallas. The kids said this is the best place we have ever stayed and were begging us to stay there the whole time. If needed, we definitely would have. Not a five star hotel but a great location with reasonable rates, perfect for families. This is our new place to stay when we come back home for a visit.

I stayed here for a week in June on business, and I was NOT impressed with this place: the carpets were covered in dark stains(!!!), the bathtub molding had black mildew growing on it, and — worst of all — the door to my room did not lock properly! After closing it, a hard shove against the door was all you needed to open it back up, no keycard needed. Gah! The location is good and the lady at the service desk was pleasant enough, but for the price and security, the Crowne Plaza, located literally one minute down Alpha/Emily St, is a much, much better deal.
