Honestly cannot go wrong here. The only bad thing about this place is how difficult it is to make a decision on what to get due to the great options and variety from the menu. Three words… TRYTHEPOUTINE!

This place was truly great! I had to go back. The service was better the first time. But the food was good both times!!!

One of the eateries in Dedham Square. Generally good food, especially their pizzas on a thin pita crust. Good beer selection. Prices have been raised in the past few months, which don’t match the menu or quality of the food. My most recent order was Barbara’s salad. Too much arugula, not enough goat cheese and bacon. Bland dressing. Bill for 2 was $ 10 – 13 too much for what we ordered.

Visited for our first time today. We received a warm welcome… really nice! Atmosphere is casual and very clean. Server was friendly and attentive and food was prompt and DELICIOUS! I had the reuben and my daughter had the salad with chicken and cashews. Portions were generous without being overwhelming and presentation was excellent. Price was right, too. We will be back!

Just moved from South Boston to Dedham and my fiancé and I really like this place. We enjoyed our meal, the wait staff was so nice and the prices can’t be beat. We will definitely be back again.

Thumbs up to the Deli After Dark. Absolutely fantastic, with great flavors. I ate at this restaurant with my kids the other day. We had a late lunch which included many of the favorites they make on the premises. We had the Pilgrim, homemade Turkey, Stuffing and cranberry. Pork cutlet parmigiano, Turkey sandwich, Greek salad, and the Rancher. Every dish was Great! Then To go we got the pork & cheese meatballs and a chicken parm… Unreal… So go. So go! I love this restaurant and highly recommend it. And the staff is wicked friendly. I have to back because I got to have some of their own home cooked roast beef. Made right from scratch in their oven, absolutely incredible.

The Deli After Dark handled the catering for my beloved mother’s funeral reception and they did a spectacular job. The food was delicious and the order was handled and set up perfectly. It helped ease a very difficult day. Thank you so much.

Absolutley Horrible experience at a place that i thought may become our local spot. I was on my way home from a long day at work when I decided to ordered the Butternut Squash Raviolis TO-GO a few weeks ago. I waited a ridiculous amount of time for my meal, got home and started eating when suddenly I was choking on something and my mouth/throat were being stabbed! After spitting and gagging for a few minuets I found this quarter sized piece of HARDPLASTIC in my mouth! This was not only disgusting but terrifying, I was home alone that night and choking on plastic that was in my RAVIOLI dish! I immediatley called the restraunt and ayoung man answered the phone this is word for word our exact conversation… Me: «Umm Hi, I was just in there about 15 mins ago and I ordered the butternut squash raviolis to go. Well I just want you to know that I just cut my mouth & choked on a piece of platic in my food?!» Male Employee who answered phone: «uhhh, well I don’t know what it could have been? uhhhh welll maybe a piece of a lid from the ravioli sauce? uhhh I guess next time you come in we can like, throw you a gift card or something» Me: I do not want a gift card from you, this is unacceptable and your lucky it’s not someone who would sue you. I will not be coming back.“ Male employee: «uhhh well thanks, I guess. Okay bye.» click. No apology, no I’m sorry Mam’ I hope your okay, no I’ll get my manager to speak with you, NOTHINGOFTHATNATUREATALL! I am really beyond disapointed with this establishment & the way they handled this situation. I don’t usually write reviews but this one was well deserved and I warn you if you choose to still eat here or go back be aware that this has happened to me recently and BECAREFUL! I’m sure this wasn’t a first for them as they handled the situation poorly and won’t be their last. I have a picture of the plastic I found which i posted on this site under Photos. I couldnt get it in here under my review, but please do find it so you can understand it wasnt a small thing, if the management doesn’t remove the photo that is.

This is a great spot. My first time, I got a gluten free pizza and it was pretty great. Crackery thin crust(udi’s maybe?) I ordered a glass of wine and it was definitely from a fresh bottle. Second time I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. First burger was burnt to a charcoal crisp(ordered medium) they took it right back and made me another burger, still well done, but not burned. When I go back, it’ll be for the pizza! Great toppings!

I love the Deli — it is perfect for a Friday night after work to grab a quick dinner and a good beer. Not gourmet food by any means, but it is all good, filling and comfort-oriented. Not to mention that it is priced really well, which makes it a great place to go every week.

This place I tell you. I’ve come here quite a few times because it’s a local place but the service is absolutely horrible. I’ve reached my limit and don’t intend on visiting this place. Not once but twice on two different occasions has the hostess rejected to seat us WHENTHEREAREOPENTABLES. First time the hostess told us our party of 3 did not meet the 5 people limit to sit at a table of 6.(Should have told her my two imaginary friends were with me) On the second occasion, it was just two of us. A table of two was open but the hostess said that it was reserved for a party that was coming in ONEHOUR. Are you kidding me? Needless to say I went on a major rant and just walked out. I’ll just go support the next small business.

Restaurant: Deli After Dark is a sub shop in Dedham Square with a small bar that serves craft beer on tap. Food: Although Deli After Dark offers different menu items, the main feature of their menu is creative sub variations using either chicken(grilled or fried), steak, turkey, or roast beef. From reading other reviews, I didn’t realize you can order french fries as french fries were not listed on their menu board. I ordered the«Mathias» which is a steak & cheese sub with salami and marinara sauce. It wasn’t bad, although I thought the marinara sauce could have been better. Their subs are reasonably priced and are of a decent portion. Service: The bartender did not come across as a people-person. I think if you sitting at the bar drinking, when your order is ready, I think the bartender should get your food for you particularly when she does not stand behind the bar, but at the station between the counter and the bar. Parking: There is a large public parking lot nearby.

My girlfriend had moved into the area, and we had great hopes for this Peach Pit After Dark wanna be. After being unable to find a website or an online menu, just to see what they offer, I walked in and asked if they have any to-go menus. The hostess just looked at me, as if I was requesting keys for the building. I rudely was told they don’t have to-go menus, only the ones in the store. Our first time as customers, I wanted do something different and stay local. I found the food prices very competitive and the food decent to merit going again. My girlfriend and I ordered two margaritas and they were made well and the price under $ 7 just blew us away. The service left a little to be desired. They’re standard professional but slow. We returned with a friend a couple of weeks later, sat at the bar. The bar area was loud with a bunch of buzzed people and our bartender confused my wanting top shelf tequila in my margarita, by putting top shelf stuff in all our drinks. The drink, while strong, didn’t taste right and the $ 7 margarita jumped considerably. It seems that the staff’s drink knowledge and ability to make individualized drinks that’s not BEER, BEER, Glass of Wine, BEER, BEER, Gin and Tonic, BEER… Leaves a lot to be desired. Still if you want a drink a cheap prices, this is a good place for Dedham Center — as long as you stick to «well drinks». Our final time was extremely disappointing. We entered very early in the evening and asked for a table. The hostess response was they had no tables and the wait was going to be 30 minutes. Directly in front of her was one unoccupied table for two. We were too tired and hungry to point out the obvious. We were left wondering if they had reasons for denying us service that were only too obvious. Strange. We left. We found another local restaurant within walking distance which was more accommodating and won’t be returning anytime soon.

Good beer, good chippy things, good service. The waitress seemed to be alone. Greedy or shorthanded? Either way they could have used another server. Got busy. Thirsty Thursday after all! Ordered Greek salad. Came with back olives. Yuck. They were straight out of a can. I’d pay another $.75 to get 2 calamata olives. I’ll be back. Just won’t go for the Greek!

Food was pretty good, service was not the best. I had the chicken cordon Bleu. The bread was fresh, not a lot of chicken, the ham and Swiss were great! The cheese should have been melted. I think they might of forgot about my order, after 20 mins. They put my sandwich together, 16 people that ordered after me got there order before me. I have not been here in along time, they do have a great chicken pram sub. I will be back again.

Deli After Dark, located in Dedham Center, is a great, cozy and attentively decorated yet casual spot that I’ve hit up a couple of times recently for an impromptu dinner with the girlfriend. Unlike what most reviews have stated, both times, the two different waitresses were great, going as far as replacing my beer at their cost when I accidentally spilled mine all over myself and the floor(I tipped accordingly obviously). They were great, friendly and attentive. But looking past the service, the ambiance is warm, welcoming and it’s very nicely decorated in there, with some nice lighting, light wooden tones but yet this simpleness that really shines through; I dig it. The food itself is also very tasty. They have everything from fried dill pickles to toasted raviolis, from spinach or buffalo chicken dip to shrimp skewers. But being a deli, they also have sandwiches, salads and even pizzas. There’s also regular entrees like mac and cheese, steak tips, squash raviolis, kabobs and many more items. They one thing that I see on their outdated, online menu which I didn’t see while there was desserts which they seem to have nixed entirely. Oh both of my trips there I got a salad, because the first time around was so good. It was the chicken cashew salad and it featured romaine, lightly breaded chicken and some cashews, along with a mustard dressing. It’s huge, it’s crunchy, tasty and it’s delicious. No matter how many bites I had, I had enough of it to take some home for the following meal. Crazy! Their spinach dip is also very good and comes served with some fried pita bread. I’ve also had a bite of their buffalo chicken pizza and it was very tasty as well. Oh and did I mention that their beer selection there is ridiculously awesome? They have something like around 30 beers, plus a good selection of wine and some specials on both listed on their chalkboard. I totally dig that! This place is terrific and I shall become a regular there for dinner while in the area, which is quite often. The service is great, the food is good, the beer selection is good as well and best of all, it’s all reasonably priced. Oh and being in Dedham, parking is super easy. There’s a giant lot accross the street and tons of street parking. Do it!
