We decided to stop in here for lunch since there aren’t just a plethora of options in Del Rio. We didn’t have super-high expectations for many reasons. We had a burger and it was what we were expecting. It’s nothing I would write home about. It was a standard thickness, greasy burger. While I won’t rule this off my list of places to visit in Del Rio, it won’t be on the top either. The service was to be expected. It took about 10 minutes to get the burger from the time we ordered. Overall, just an average place to eat at a Del Rio mall. Their ice cream selection did look pretty good.

I tried this place because of the one review on Unilocal.Frankly in a mall, I was prepared to be disappointed. Service was quick; they brought my burger and hand-cut fries to the table in the middle of the mall; and the order taker seemed to know almost everybody that passed by. No disappointment for today. Double cheeseburger was too much to finish, as was the order of fries. Did I say that they were hand-cut? I was there at lunchtime and while there was no big rush, and the mall was not busy, but there was a steady stream of customers for Sergio’s Grill. If I’m back in town, I’ll return, if for no other reason than to escape the bad steakhouses, BBQ, and Mexican cuisine that is prevalent.

This place is located inside the Plaza Del Sol Mal. I really liked this little restaurant as it had a little bit of everything to offer. I had burgers and Mexican food along with some unique treats. They had candy apples and a sorta«Mexican» candy apple. It is basically an apple covered with tamarindo candy. It is a unique treat that I have never seen anywhere else. They also have some pretty unique non alcoholic drinks. Some sort of pineapple, sprite, lime juice drink which is called something I don’t remember. You need to stop by this place and check it out while at the mall.
