Best place for shrimp, crabs and oysters in Denton. New location is nicer but I miss the old place since it had a huge outside patio. Affordable prices and good food, I recommend the shrimp ceviche and fried oysters.

Went to new location today and the whole staff looked miserable with both girls not caring fur the orders… My gf food was never brought out and then there was a purce of hair in her salad… We left after 10 minutes and got to go boxes. I hope the owner changes things up! When I go to a seafood place I want to feel like I’m out by the boardwalk. The fried shrimp was amazing! Just wish the people there were a little more caring about the jobs and I might go once abweek oppose to 2x a year.

This is my favorite restaurant in town. It would be 5 stars if they would bring back the old hush puppies and poboy bread! The old hush puppies were the BEST I’ve EVER had and the new poboy bread is good but its too hard which makes it difficult to eat.

Dam good fresh tasting seafood, a little funky but good eats. Reasonable cost for what I ordered definitely worth another trip.
Been there like 3 more times, nothing has changed. I recommend the boiled side of the menu, the fried side is good but has a little too much breading for my liking. Try’d the oysters this last time with some friends and according to they they were great, first time with oysters and they were pretty good but nothing to previously compare them to.

We went back to Hoochies and it was terrific. I actually met the owner while there and they now use real butter with their entrees. The meal and service were both really good. I highly recommend the crab legs to anyone! Great job!

Very good stuff! Order the fish of the day! White snapper was very delish! my wife had the chicken and even it was incredibly good! Good value! Dinner for my wife and I and a beer for $ 23. Will definitely be back!

I love their oyster po boy. So freaking good. The oysters are always fresh and clean. I love the blackened catfish and the dressing they use on their salads is amazing.
I gave it 4 stars cuz the girls at the register are never paying attention to customers waiting to order. I always am standing there waiting for someone to notice me. But the 2 men that own it and/​or run it are so friendly and considerate.

We’d always wanted to try Hoochie’s and finally got a chance to last night. Combined, we had a fish taco, chicken taco, black bean taco, shrimp taco, and hush puppies. I would give everything 5 stars. The food was excellent although it did take about 20 minutes to get our tacos during a slow time. I wouldn’t suggest coming here if you’re in a hurry, but maybe that was just our experience.
We loved everything though. The staff was friendly and they certainly didn’t spare the hush puppies, we got so many! Try this place out, it’s worth it!

LOVE the snapper! it is perfectly seasoned and delicious. my husband likes their blackened catfish and their fries are pretty good too. I think they deliver too, but I haven’t used that service yet.
there is an older man who I think the manager. He always asks us how our food is and is really friendly. the staff are also really friendly and always chatty at the register.
