They did away with the Greek Frittata! Yikes! That was my favorite. This is worse than Brexit! I had to fall back to Parisian Benedict. Love, the mad Unilocaler.

Friendly service and clean. Awesome eggs benedict. I had the Parisi an eggs Benedict and let me say from the first bite until my last… it was heavenly and I’m a big eggs Benedict critic/foodie. The atmosphere is like a diner but simple and tasteful decoration. I will come back for more!

Coming from a North Carolinian, I had the pleasure of visiting the Dallas area this past weekend and stopped by The Egg & I during my trip. It was a great decision! The«Egg-ceptional» omelette with potatoes, and an English muffin was my meal of choice. It was a phenomenal meal to start off my day, and it did not take more than 15 minutes to be delivered to our table(this was during peak Saturday morning hours). I highly recommend this establishment if you are in the Denton area!

We were traveling through town and were looking for somewhere to eat breakfast. I almost didn’t go here because of some of the 1 star reviews. I’m really glad I went anyway. The experience I had was completely different then what some of the negative reviewers said. We were seated right away and there were many people there dining also. The waitress was very nice and her service was on point. I thought the food was very good with nice sized portions. I had Parisian eggs Benedict and it was great. The restaurant was very clean and the restroom was spotless. As for the décor… I don’t know what some reviewers are expecting but it looked fine to me… I mean you’re eating breakfast in a strip mall, not dining at some 5 star bistro in the south of France for god sake. If you give this place a try and things are like they were when I visited, I think you will be very pleased…

Was there a few weeks ago for lunch, the place had about 5 other tables filled at the most. We sat up front, by the cash register. No one came by, servers come and go. We put our menu down and kept waiting but no one bothered. There was a guy in red shirt who worked there, and he took up the booth next to ours to do some paperwork. He didn’t help either. We walked out after 10 – 15 minutes. Very very bad management. Never coming back.

I have ate here about 10 times. The service is always really good. They have great customer service. The food is really good as well. The only reason they only het 4 stars and not 5 is because they dont have hash browns. That is probably not a big deal to most people, but for me I want hash browns with my eggs. They only have ranch style potatoes. Other than that, this place is always great.

Came here at 12PM, and was seated very quickly. The wait time was less than 5 minutes. The waitress was very friendly and gave us time to order. Ordered the Spanish Bacon Mushroom Omelette and it was delicious! The manger was very friendly and the overall environment is a good place to eat lunch with friends

Someone must have thought, «How can we make a restaurant where the menu is less adventurous than Waffle House and has the taste of the blandest Denny’s and the décor of a 1972IHOP?» And thus the concept for The Egg and I was born… Usually I post what I ate and what Molly ate and give the good and bad parts of each. But this time I’m just going to say– don’t go. It’s gross. The food is gross. The patrons were gross. Just don’t go. Usually I don’t give a bad review unless I’ve visited twice but I wouldn’t go back in this place if they were giving away this bad hospital cafeteria style food. The best part of the meal, besides wondering how much meth the girl sitting by us had taken over the last 72 hours, was watching an elderly couple dressed up in their church clothes sitting in the booth across from us. They sat there in silence waiting for the food to arrive and did not make a sound. For almost 20 minutes just sitting there. The gentleman was literally twiddling his thumbs but did stop long enough to move his water two inches to the left. They didn’t look at each other. Just at the walls. Sitting there. There was nothing about this experience to chat about. There is a mural on the wall that reads, «Your mother told you to get a good breakfast.» We came here instead.

The ambience is wonderful. The eggs were perfectly cooked, though chilly, but the potatoes were stone cold and they didn’t taste good. The biscuit was as heavy as a stone. The service was great!

Waited over an hour before I received my food and the eggs were too runny. Overpriced for what you get. Not recommending to a friend.

Me and my family have been to The Egg & I many times in a short amount of time. At least once a week for about 4 – 5 months. When we go we spend about $ 60 maybe even more! We love the service, We love the food. Never any wait time, and the wait for food is never too long. Order is always right, no complaints. A couple weeks ago my family and I go in, get sat down, and our waiter comes and greets us. He brings us our drinks and asks if we’re ready. We give him our order, he messes it all up. After he brings out our food we tell him he got it wrong, he goes and gets the owner and our ticket. He realizes he is wrong and takes it all back, the OWNER asks us what we would like«Two Texas Skillets, with a croissant instead of an english muffin» she asked if we wanted peppers or onions since I originally ordered mine with out. Both of us said yes, no peppers or onions. About 5 mins later the OWNER brings out our plates. Right as she set it down, I saw red peppers. I told her I asked for no peppers or onions. In a rude voice she quickly says to me «You said no GREEN peppers, those are red.» I have never had such a let down from a good restaurant. Go somewhere better

I don’t come very often, because it is far from my house but when I did eat here the food was great and hot and filled me up, but the only thing I need to say is the greeter when you come in needs to be a little faster to say hi and welcome you. They also need to be a little faster in getting yo your table for the drink order. other than that you are ok. The waitress needed to be a little more attentive to my needs I thought I made a mistake and she took it defensive.

Ok Egg&I. A lot better this go around! Excellent service thanks to Olivia! Food was awesome. First time trying the Vera Cruz omelette, my new favorite. Evelyn had the biscuits and gravy with bacon, she loved it. We are proud to be regulars here!

I had read the reviews about the average food, but wife wanted to try it so I was going to give it a chance. We waited twice the time they told us while watching people get seated that had come in after us. I asked and they told me those were«call aheads»… Try Old West, Café Brazil, or Mi Casita in Denton instead. Better prices, better food, and like every other $ 10 breakfast in town, they don’t make you watch«call aheads» get sat right in front of you for 20 minutes. Way too many good places to eat in Denton, to waste your time here.

This is the classic type of American breakfast food you will find at any Cracker Barrel or Denny’s with better quality. I always try the eggs Benedict at any breakfast place and I would say they were what I expected, tasty but not amazing. If you’re looking for a cool, trendy breakfast place this isn’t it. This is classic good olé American hearty breakfast almost like Old West but not as cramped.

I had the Colorado Jack and my husband had biscuits and sausage gravy and ranch style potatoes. The gravy is very thick and creamy. And so delicious. You can’t stop eating it. But for me the potatoes have what seems to be Italian seasoning which doesn’t go with Breakfast in my opinion but My husband loves them. The Colorado Jack is loaded with fresh bell peppers, fresh onion, the eggs are scrambled perfectly and its all topped with Jack cheese. Delicious. Their sausage patties have great taste but they were served a little bit cold.

REALLYBADSERVICE. On our first visit for lunch, my wife and I got our drinks and then sat for 10 minutes without a server ever coming to take our order. So, we got up and left. We decided to come back and give it a second chance. Again, we came for lunch. We were seated without a wait. Our server came after a few minutes to take our drink order. He brought them out and took our lunch order. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but both of our orders were wrong. The errors weren’t huge, so we removed the items we had asked not to be included and ate our meal. The food was good, but our server didn’t return until we were almost done. When he finally stopped by, we asked for a cup of ice for the tea. Instead of bringing it, I watched him go into the«meeting room» and sit down to hang out with the other servers. Eventually, I walked back there and asked him for the ice. Every server in the entire restaurant was sitting in there instead of helping customers. Overall, the experience was awful. Needless to say, we will not be back.

Sad to see the bad reviews, because every time I’ve gone to The Egg and I I’ve had a great time! I got the Parisian benedict, because if it’s on a croissant I’m gonna eat it. Get the ranch potatoes as a side, and get them LOADED! Sour cream, pork green chile, cheese. Also got a side of toast and a coke, and did that weird flappy excited hand thing because A) it’s sourdough toast and B) they gave me an entire carafe of coke for MYSELF. As someone who is frequently grouchy on Saturday, a jug of caffeine is a gift from God. Ladyhusband got the green chile chicken something something(there’s a picture of it on here), and was super satisfied. Also received a jug of coke. Also sang the CokeGod praises. Décor is like Tuesday Morning threw up in there, but it makes me laugh every time. It’s like having brunch in your southern great aunt’s house, it’s all a little chintzy and Paris, TX bee-stro looking — perfect vibe for food that doesn’t make me feel like a twice baked potato who needs to go to bed again(Old West) or angry/still hungry/poor(Loco Café/Seven Mile.)

It took a long while to be seated. Once seated I thought our server was on break. No where to be found! The omelet was very wet and soggy the powdered gravy was not eatable do to the amount of pepper in it. Then the mgr was way to busy to be bothered to hear a customer complaint. I WILLNOTBEBACKTOTHISPLACE.
