I used to go there all the time and it’s like down the street from my house, but I am never going there ever again. Due to my last experience .I recently ordered food from there around 9pm about few weeks ago, the restaurants said it was going to close at 10pm, she told me it would be ready in 15 mins. I told her that I will be there around 9:30pm cuz I had few thing to do, she said ok, by the time I got there the door was locked all the light where shut and they where gone. What funny is that they say they close at 10pm but they close 30 mins Earlier, pretty funny and sad at the same time if you asked me

The food tastes like old grease. They have gone downhill in the past year or so. They used to have good meat with bland sides, but the last couple times everything was just gross — fishy tasting egg rolls, burnt wontons, etc. Most recently ordered beef and broccoli that was like half onions and less than a quarter beef, and tasted greasy and weird. Blech.

Tried China Gate for the first time today with my lady. Ordered two orders of sesame chicken(which came with white rice for $ 9.25 a piece). Two eggrolls and two spring rolls. Altogether the food was about $ 23.00. The chicken was tender and well seasoned, but the eggrolls were completely DIGUSTING!!! I’ve purchased eggrolls in the frozen section of Wal-Mart that tasted better. I can’t say I wouldn’t order take out from here again but I would definitely weigh my opinions first.

Tried China Gate for the first time yesterday. Restaurant seemed clean(or so I thought) and service was decent… as we were eating(food was delish & we happily agreed we had a new spot to dine at) I thought I heard something I glanced under the table & didn’t see anything… a few seconds later I looked up & there was this HUGEROACH crawling behind my husband… I screamed & immediately jumped up… the staff looked as if «Oh it’s just a bug»…our server took her sweet little time to grab a napkin & almost punctured the seat attempting to kill the bug! We then asked for the check and as he went to grab his phone off the table there was ANOTHER roach crawling on the table!!! At that point the server asked us to leave saying«Don’t worry about the money, don’t worry about paying for your food just leave.» NEVERAGAIN!

Food was ok. Typical Chinese fast food. The meat was well cooked and still tender. Don’t bother with their Thai menu. Not even close to a real pad Thai. Disappointed.

I would love to give a glowing review on customer service and delivery time alone but let’s face it the thing that keeps us coming back is the food. The ordering process was smooth. My food arrived within the 45 minutes as promised which is great during the lunch rush and the driver was polite. I ordered the Massaman curry chicken, hot braised chicken, hot and sour soup and it came with 2 spring rolls. Unfortunately the curry and the braised chicken had no flavor whatsoever. The spring rolls weren’t great either. The best part of the meal was the hot and sour soup which I would place in my top 5. I was really excited about this place because they offer Thai food and I’m not a fan of Chinese. I was left feeling a bit disappointed. Oh well :-(

The takeout menu went into the trash moments after my first bite. My expectations weren’t that high anyway after waiting an hour 10 for delivery(don’t tell me 30 – 40 mins if you know there are several orders ahead of me). My hunan beef was cold and flavorless. All I got from my wife’s fried rice was«meh». I did find this mildly amusing. When the delivery driver approached my door, I thought he was speaking to me. No, he was on his phone. I don’t know if he spoke English, as he never addressed me.

Used to be good, fresh food. However, at some point in the last year-ish(about how long it’s been since I’ve eaten here due to moving to downtown ATL) it has changed hands. The new family owning it is rude and the food is your usual less-than-average crap that you can get at a million other run-down chinese places all over ATL. I was bummed to find this out — now I must start looking for a new chinese place that is good!

Went by here at 8pm on Thursday with three other hungry guys. I ordered the Jon Bong Noodle Soup, adverted as ‘spicy’. Spicy? No. One dimensional? Yes. Please, please, soup makers of Oriental restaurants! There is supposed to be complexity in a broth containing shrimp, scallops, mussels, chicken, bamboo shoots, and noodles! The shrimp tasted like the scallops tasted like the chicken tasted like the(oddly enough) mussels, but with different textures. Not a hint of what the stock(beef? chicken? pork? Campbell’s?) was simmered from. Where’s the fiery tang of chili oil? Ohhh! I’m so upset over what I wanted so badly. Frabnitz!

Standard Chinese food served here. Nothing special. I don’t go there very often anymore as they have reduced the serving sizes. They do have two special seafood soups(Jong Bang or something like that) that are excellent but they are about the only thing that strays from the standard formula.

We’ve been searching for good Chinese delivery since our old favorite closed down earlier this year. I think we’ve found our new favorite after only a few tries. We ordered the dinner for two, which consists of mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, rice, egg rolls and sizzling rice soup. I’m not usually a fan of anything sweet and sour because it’s usually too sweet and often soggy. This was the exception, not too sweet and the sauce is separate so the chicken stays crisp and delicious. The mongolian beef was the best I’ve had and I could tell it was real sliced beef, not some rehydrated crap. Everything was very well packaged, nothing sticky or leaking. The dinner for two can actually feed three or four people, so we had leftovers. Delivery was quick and I’m looking forward to our next order!
