The staff was friendly and helpful — It’s worth pointing this out because unfortunately, it isn’t the case at every winery. Lots of fun and interesting wines!

I think Fulkerson is great! It’s on the opposite side of the lake so there’s really no outside seating/views but they have a pretty extensive tasting list. The always have great BOGO deals too. I go up once a year and went specifically for the Matinée(a sweet wine with mint) which is different than anything else on the lake and the William Vigne Semi-Dry Riesling. The Riesling happen to be buy one get one free at the time so I was super excited!

By far the worst and most condescending staff that I have encountered in the finger lakes, and any winery for that matter. The wine was ok and the tasting room is absolutely beautiful but that could not compete with the attitudes and character of the staff members present. Skip this one and go to one of the many others.

The wine tasting lady had the smallest pours ever. The guy next to us was giving at least 3 times as much wine. We would have purchased more had we had better pours. But what we tasted the wine was good. The place looked nice.

Another of my favorite Finger Lakes wineries with delicious wines. I just stopped there yesterday to pick up three bottles each of my favorites!

This was our first winery stop of the day. Better than average dry wines for this area, but our server for the tasting was sort of awkward and not at all friendly or informative. The tasting room was nice, but didn’t have great lake views like some other wineries. In addition to wine, they have a decent sized gift shop and sell some fresh(presumably local) produce for very reasonable prices.

I’ll start off by saying that Fulkerson Winery wasn’t on my initial list of wineries to visit along Seneca Lake. But our first night in the Finger Lakes, we ate dinner at the BluePointe Grill and I noticed they had a glass of Moscato on their wine list. After having my first glass, and then second glass, I decided we have to stop at this winery the next day to check it out(and buy a few bottles myself to take home). The view alone is amazing! We did the wine tasting here so that I can get a feel for the other wines that they served. In addition to the moscato, I loved their riesling! The rieslings are not dry like I thought they would be nor were they too sweet. It was just the right blend that’s perfect for a summer day! The moscato is also not too sweet live I’ve been accustomed to. It had a fruity taste to it which made it another perfect summer wine to enjoy! The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable! They helped me in deciding which wines to try and educated me a bit more on them. I highly recommend stopping in for a visit to try out their wines, you will enjoy it! I can’t wait to come back the next time when we’re in the Finger Lakes area!

I did not like any of the wines there. Actually they all tasted the same; like Welch’s grape juice. So I say do not waste your $ 2.00 for a tasting and skip this one. Plus the pourers were not very attractive and could not handle a large group for a Tuesday.

The employees at Fulkerson were friendly and informative. We got some nice semi-sweet whites from here.

This was by far my favorite winery of the day. One of the best things offered is a private wine pairing. They bring you to an upstairs loft area and set you up with your own winery representative. You walk in and three to four perfectly set up wine glasses and chocolate or cheese await you, depending on what tasting you choose. I chose the Dry Red — 4 wines, paired with chocolate, which was medium to heavy. For $ 7, I call that a steal! The Pinot Noir was paired with the caraway chocolate. That was my least favorite of the bunch. The chocolate was my main problem, but that’s because I don’t like caraway. It just wasn’t my bag. My favorite was the Cabernet Sauvignon with the blueberry chocolate. The Cab had a peppery flavor, which I love in wines, and I enjoyed the fresh blueberry in the chocolate. The Cabernet Franc was forgettable, but if you’re an espresso lover you’d love the raspberry espresso chocolate, It was incredibly flavorful and pumped with espresso! I really loved hearing the rep from the winery talk about the different wines. She was definitely knowledgeable and gave us a lot of really interesting facts about each wine we were trying. I know the reason she was so engaging was because she was really passionate about what she talking about. I loved that about the place, it’s a great way to represent the winery! Key takeaway: If you have a group, booking a private wine tasting ahead of time is the way to go!

The younger man pouring us the wine and talking with us seemed slightly condescending towards me and my friends in the way he talked to us regarding wines. Besides that, everything was nice. The venue is beautiful. It was one dollar for five wine tastings. The hottub wine was awesome. They also had super cute wine toppers!

I just came home from a birthday weekend wine trip to Seneca Lake. Fulkerson was just awful. The first thing you notice when you walk up to the front door(the building is admittedly very nice) is the overpowering smell of horse poop, which is obviously off-putting. The people inside were completely unfriendly and tried to charge us THREETIMES for the wine tasting. In general, the wines were unimpressive. There are much better vineyards to spend your money at in this area, and I would avoid this one.

This may have been my favorite winery at Seneca Lake. It was $ 1.00 to taste 6 wines — awesome! They had a wide assortment of flavors. The Airship White was great, if you like a sweet, white wine. The Red Zeppelin was equally as tasty, as well as having a fun name! The staff was great, a bunch of inappropriate older ladies that really made the experience fun. They interacted with us and shared a few laughs. The tasting room looks like a large bar, and there is one on both sides(nice for a crowded time). There was a large gift shop area in the middle. Price — nice and cheap, but still good quality. I can’t wait to go back!

It’s hard to give a Finger Lakes winery less than four stars, if only for their prices. These are some incredibly affordable wines, and Fulkerson is a safe bet for those just getting into the wine scene, as well as more experienced winery-goers. They have the«fun wines»(the sweet wines — both red and white — with the funky names and labels…“Red Zeppelin” and«Airship White,» in the case of Fulkerson’s). And they have the basic drys found in most wineries in these parts – Gewürztraminer, Traminette, Riesling, a $ 12 Pinot Noir that’s much better than it should be, Cab Franc(which the Finger Lakes area is mastering — watch out, Virginia), Lemberger(which was a new one for me — a sharp red). Lots of stuff here. Tasting room is one of those«giant gift shop» types, complete with peanuts, candy, and tee shirts. Normally I would give such a «basic» place three stars, but that cheap(and tasty) pinot noir merits an extra star.
