One of the more established locations on Seneca Lake(lesson learned — -the older the winery, the lower the prices). As the case with most wineries along this trail, they had ample sweets, but a few stand out drys: a dry Riesling from their sister vineyard(Highland Cellars) was my favorite. I had come to the Finger Lakes to acquire multiple bottles of pinot noir, but the trip turned out to be a dry Riesling buying blitz. The tasting room has a view of the lake — this is not a very large place, so it probably gets tight when it’s busy. But it’s a good reliable winery with fine prices and something for every palate.

The Red Hoot was sweet but not too sweet — got it for my wine noob friends. Everyone was friendly here.

My favorite thing about this winery is that they have to have a disclaimer on their Liquid Wisdom wine bottle disclaiming that it may not actually improve your intelligence… although after drinking a bottle or so you may feel otherwise! Service was great here and the wines delicious.

The wines were awesome, and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely try Liquid Wisdom! The Cayuga wine was one of the best I’ve had. The people working there were also very nice
