One of the more established locations on Seneca Lake (lesson learned — -the older the winery, the lower the prices). As the case with most wineries along this trail, they had ample sweets, but a few stand out drys: a dry Riesling from their sister vineyard (Highland Cellars) was my favorite. I had come to the Finger Lakes to acquire multiple bottles of pinot noir, but the trip turned out to be a dry Riesling buying blitz. The tasting room has a view of the lake — this is not a very large place, so it probably gets tight when it’s busy. But it’s a good reliable winery with fine prices and something for every palate.

My favorite thing about this winery is that they have to have a disclaimer on their Liquid Wisdom wine bottle disclaiming that it may not actually improve your intelligence… although after drinking a bottle or so you may feel otherwise! Service was great here and the wines delicious.
