South Fork is one of our favorite places in Coconut Point. I’ve never been here for dinner, but the lunch never disappoints. The outdoor seating is great(why such a lack of outdoor seating in Estero/Fort Myers?). In my opinion, the pan roasted salmon should be the first menu item on your list. Thanks for another great lunch South Fork.

Only 3 stars due to waiter. Salmon was good but Strawberry goat cheese salad had so much dressing it dripped all over. I mentioned this but only received a half hearted«I’ll tell the kitchen». Waiter never refilled water, never asked if we wanted anything else to drink, and didn’t come back to ask about the main course. If he had we would have mentioned he brought the wrong side dish. Overall not a satisfying occasion.

Poor service. Our drink couldn’t be served in a «rocks»” glass cause they were out of them. We couldn’t have cappuccino cause the machine was broken. We didn’t get cream for our coffee until it was cold cause they were too busy to bring it. We couldn’t have a spoon for our ice cream cause they were all dirty. The managers excuse was that it was season. Really? We have been here all season and have visited many restaurants that know how many glasses and spoons they need«INSEASON». The manager was full of excuses and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant until they realize that good service in season helps them after season is over. Manager had a attitude! Too many good restaurants around to put up with this one in my opinion.

It was the second time I was here in 2 weeks. Excellent Wedge salad!!! The lettuce was crisp, the crumbly blue was awesome, could of used a little more bacon but I’m a bacon addict. The fresh bread they bring out is warm and fresh. I ordered seared scallops for my meal, nice, large, perfectly seared!. Then we had coffee to finish the experience off. I was a little depressed that the espresso machine wasn’t working because we were really looking forward to their hot chocolate that is supposedly really good. Hopefully next time I’m there it will be working.

Small portion sizes, over priced. Not overly friendly staff. The food wasn’t awful but wasn’t anything special. I thought my entrée salad was a side salad.

Made a reservation on a Friday for a party of 5. Arrive at the restaurant and cannot even find the front entrance of this joint. Not to mention the rudeness of the hostess as myself and my party confusingly looking around for the entrance door. «Is this where you’re supposed be?» she asks me. As I digress… we get seated in the corner of this back room with absolutely no aesthetically pleasing view and wait I kid you not what felt like an eternity for our waitress. At this point we should’ve walked up and left. Then the rudeness of the hostess spilled over to our waitress. «Drinks?» she asks. Not a Hi or any sort of greeting maybe explaining to my party what our dining experience will be like this evening. But I digress… we order our drinks and a couple appetizers. The apps come out and is served to us by what must have been the sous chef. We don’t even get sharing plates so we used what must’ve been the smallest plates to eat our mussels and brie which only could’ve been used to place your afternoon tea on. Then bread was brought to our table AFTER we got our apps. But here’s the kicker… no knives were ever set at our table. So knowing my waitress won’t be coming around for who knows how long I have to ask the manager for knives so I can spread some butter on my bread. From this point on the awkwardness of our dining experience is just hovering over our table. The waitress can tell we just want to get the hell out of there. Entrees come and one of my party ordered soup and salad and they forgot to bring it out. Sadly, the experience was so awful it didn’t matter that our food tasted great. It was a joke of service that night. Won’t ever be going back.

i want to start out by saying I really tried to work this out by speaking to one of the owners but after leaving 4 messages(for Joe) and NO return call back I see they are really not interested in what goes on in their restaurant anyway. I hope this gets their attention and maybe learn from it. So-I went there with 6 other friends and sat outside on a Friday evening 2 weeks ago. We had a wonderful waitress Nataly. We all ordered dinner and my wife ordered the steak on the menu and asked for no sauce on it. When it came out with sauce she asked to return it and Nataly was happy to do so saying it was on the sheet and the cook didn’t pay attention. 5 minutes later it came back and Nataly said it was a new steak and sorry. It was not a new steak but one that was rinsed off and thrown on the broiler again. My wife cut into it and when Nataly came back my wife said it was medium to medium well and NOT medium rare liked she asked for it. Again Nataly said no problem and would have a new steak brought out. 10 minutes later a new steak came out and my wife cut into it and it was raw. She finally said-forget it.“I’m not hungry anymore and everyone else ate already” Nataly took the steak away. We all discussed how the place was really not good ranging from my room temperature Cesar salad and bland salmon to the overcooked seafood and pasta to the boring chicken etc etc etc. Not really the problem yet. Ten minutes later the manager Scott came out and stood between my wife and I and brought the first steak out and said«look…this is medium rare and you can’t really see because we are outside and its dark and IMNOTEATING2STEAKS… I stopped him and said I will handle this and to leave my wife alone. He kept telling me that he is not eating two steaks and we were wrong and he is the manager for a long time and kept talking until I said please let me know when I can have a chance to speak. He finally said OK and I said you are WAYOUTOFLINE and should be fired immediatly and thats not a way to treat a women or a customer and he just kept talking and talking AND talking while standing right next to me as a way to intimidate me. I told him to charge me for the steaks as we were not looking for a free meal but to dine with friends. I asked him to go away 3 times before he finally left. how rude can someone be??? SO-Joe and any other owners here I have a few suggestions: 1-Return your calls-its the polite thing to do no matter who is calling 2-FIRE SCOTTASFASTASYOU CAN-or send him to a management class on how to handle customers the correct way 3-Sharpen up the cooking skills as there is a lot of competition out there and we need a reason to come back to a restaurant for great food 4-Praise Nataly for great service despite what happened PS-Both steaks were taken off the bill

Stopped in here to take advantage of their early bird special. Unfortunately, there was an art show going on and they postponed the early bird and we had to have lunch. We were not really impressed. Food was only OK, nothing special and for the price we expected better.

Usually a favorite. This visit my Viognier was warm and my salmon was cold. The citrus beurre blanc was muted and had little to no tang. The wife’s prom chop was also cold. Saw a table near us return a glass of flat champagne. Overall a very disappointing evening. We will try again but not too many more times.

What’s pleasant surprise. I had a ribeye, my wife had lamb with an awesome mushroom risotto. This was our first time here, won’t be our last. There is nothing but positives from my perspective. Service was excellent. Not fast, but well paced for a great dinner. We had a very reasonably priced great bottle of wine. We finished with a desert of pound cake with ricotta and oranges or something, but it was good! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Stopped here after some shopping and it made for a pretty decent lunch. I had the baked brie to start, which is a definite weakness of mine after I was introduced to it at Perricone’s in Miami, and it was very good. My only qualm was the sides it came with. The crackers just weren’t the best choice for this dish as they were a bit salty and the apples were good, but I would have liked more variety. Maybe this is just because I’m comparing it to the holy grail that is the Baked Brie at Perricone’s. The pastry itself was fabulous and perfectly cooked. I had the mussels as my entrée even though they are an appetizer. These were the star of my meal. I’m so looking forward to eating my leftovers. I wish it would have come with more bread however. For that amount of mussels and also considering it’s meant to be shared as an appetizer, 4 slices would be better. The measly two slices of bread took 5 bites and it was gone. Finally the orange ricotta pound cake. It sounded good on paper, but the dessert itself was dry. I wouldn’t get it again. I’ll def be back for those mussels though! The other reason I knocked off two stars was the service. Not that anyone was rude or anything, just disinterested. There were a ton of waiters, I think they were expecting a larger crowd because it’s New Years, it they weren’t doing much of anything. Rarely checked in on me and pretty slow. There was also a ridiculous large fly problem where I was seated(granted it was near the entrance) but it made for an uncomfortable dining experience. I had to change my straw and swat away flies my entire time there.

The food was excellent but the service was not good and the food took a long time to come out. We were a party of 8 so we had made a reservation and got seated quickly. It took an hour and a half to get our food. The waitress did not apologize, in fact she said«there isn’t anything I can do to make the food come out quicker» and kept telling us after an hour it would be right out, but it took another 30 min. It was crowded but people came after us and got their food before us. However, the food was good and taste was excellent. Wouldn’t come back here because of the service

I’ve been going to South Fork(previously«The Grape») for many, many years. I love the owners and the wait staff, and(usually the menu/food prep). I think my tastes are a little bit more«foodie» and as such I’m withholding a 5-star review, but this is pretty much as close as it gets. The menu is nice and simple, and the dishes are delicious. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Highly recommend(can’t go wrong here!).

I really liked this friendly upscale venue as it exceeded my inflated tastes and culinary trained targets for atmosphere, food, and service over the course of an evening. Arriving late last Saturday night with favorable week-old Unilocal review in my head about the place, we noted the casual dining outside and hoped to chill inside. Seated and ready to order, our server was smiling and had some news as to what was on the menu. We seized upon the specials right away, as a means of introduction to the place, while pairing them to flavorful local craft ales and California Zinfandel. The beer and wine lists were very good and I could tell that most of the attending patrons were in the wine camp that evening. Working into our first plates, the grilled pork belly in a puddle of sweet corn purée and a spicy apple sauce aligned with it signaled what the American style kitchen was like there. It made my glass of Zinfandel come alive and the fresh salad made for a soft landing. And that was round 1. The skirt/flank steak dressed in potato sticks with a sauce covering it and the adjoining collard greens was a stunning moment, which I had to eat slowly because three more plates of the same thing were coming to my mind quickly. The portions from the kitchen were good on my plate as I loved it and was getting greedy. We also had a plate of grilled chicken that was stacked on top of its accompanying vegetables. Exceptionally juicy, the chicken did not need the sauce it was dressed in, but we enjoyed it and were thankful it was not«falling off the bone». Looking back at the dinner(as we skipped dessert), this was well executed, dressed, and served. I doubt one could have asked for better on this scale. I did make a note for my return visit: order the whole bottle of Zinfandel and maybe pretend we are having guests(who never show.) so we can order more plates!

I was staying at the Hyatt Place and since this spot is walking distance it seemed like the best option for dinner! I thought the interior was nice, and had a good vibe for a date night out. Our server was friendly and prompt. What more can you ask for? I went with small plates for dinner and was happy with that choice. I can’t remember the name of my salad but it had mozzarella, tomatoes, and bacon. For my other small plate I got pork belly over a corn salad. Both dishes were satisfying and I would get them again. This place isn’t cheap but there are definetely options on the menu to make it more affordable. Especially the early dinner for two $ 30 deal!

Dined here again but for dinner this time. The service was much better and food came out alot quicker but it was off season this time. We were dining later, but the early dining menu was intriguing… 2 entrees and a bottle of wine for $ 30. Might need to come back early for that deal! My table did receive the bed basket this time and the bread was good– fresh, hot and served with butter. I ordered the fresh market salad with an order of the coconut shrimp from the starters. Both items were very tasty but I would have like to have at least 2 more pieces of shrimp since only 4 medium sized came in the order. We sat inside since it was a super hot day; but I noticed that there were fans in full blast mode on the patio.
