Shari’s Restaurant

The waitress was incompetant and the cook was unprofessionally rude. They got everything on our order wrong, except my strawberry lemonade and soup. When served, the milkshake was no longer cold; It was all runny. They were out of pasta. One of the appetizers of our two person meal, was delivered in a timely fashion, while the other was served with the entrees. After 30 minutes of being seated, out empty water glasses were never refilled. The waitress did not get our orders or provide service in a timely manner. I ordered a plate without toast because I am very allergic to gluten. When my entrée arrived, ¹⁄₃ of my served plate was empty except for a layer of wheat bread crumbs. Though bread crumbs would not kill me, they would cause me to feel sick, as if I had food poisoning. My hasbrowns had come in contact with the wheat bread crumbs unfortunately rendering the meal uneatable to me. When the waitress took the plate back, I could hear the loud voice of the cook complain about the food being brought back, because it was «only bread crumbs». His comment was unprofessionally loud and insensitive to people who have food allergies. The omlette from my first dish was sloppily reserved to me on a slightly damp plate, while I waited for the hashbrowns to be recooked. The only person in the whole restaurant who seemed competant was the manager, because I could tell in his apology that he was genuinely embrassed by his own staff.

I have been and am still siting here with no service after half an hour. Waitress was rude and brushed us off when we true to catch her attention. The place smells of a old dirty diaper. Never come g back again

The black berry tea is amazing. The food is well worth the stop too. I would for surely eat here again.

My husband and I went to this Shari’s tonight and it was terrible. We were seated pretty quick but waited 25 minutes for our server to acknowledge us. We finally got to order our food. I got the meat lovers skillet and my husband got eggs benedict. While waiting for our food we heard our server yelling at the cook because they messed up our order. When we got our meals (after an hour), we were very disappointed. My skillet looked disgusting, like dog food. My peppers were soggy and my egg was slimy. My husband’s egg benedict was awful. He cut into the egg and they were hard poached. We finally had a manager come over and we explained that we couldn’t eat this, not one thing was comped and we barely got an apology. We had to leave with no food. I would never recommend someone to come here voluntarily. Terrible service and terrible food. It’s normally so great! But not this location!

10pm. Not very busy. Waiting to be seated. Three people looked at us. No one said a word. After 5 minutes, someone finally said they’d be with us soon as they walked by. A few more minutes before being seated. Service was slow and uncaring.

I am very disappointed in your service last night! In fact my 2 sons and I got no service other than to be sat at a table and we got more than several glances with nothing being said to us for well over 20 minutes! It was not a very busy evening and there was 2 women workers just standing there that I could clearly see that did give us several looks! Another worker dressed in brown looked at us a few times as well. No one bothered to say anything! Our menu’s were closed and at the side of the table. We finally just got up to leave and no one even bothered to stop us to ask why! We were just regular customers dressed well and acted well. I’m not sure what the problem was! We don’t have a lot to chose from in our area so once in a while we like to stop in here for a late night dinner when our nights get crazy such as this evening in particular! The food is not bad so this one star is for the service! It’s not all of the servers because their are some that are really cool here. Unfortunately I didn’t recognize any of them last night!!! I hope they didn’t lose the good workers there. If so this place is going to struggle!!!

We often visit this Shari’s and have never had a complaint until last week. Yes, the restaurant was busy at lunch time on that Monday. We were seated fairly quickly at the table we had asked for. We placed our order, mentioning we would be taking our pie slices home. It took a while, but 3 of us got our soup or salad; the other patron had ordered a sandwich. Well, Irma offered us the pie before she had the sandwich or the rest of us had received our entrée. Lol. She seemed to be run off her feet, cuz we could see our entrees on the warming shelf. They had. been there 10 – 15 minutes before the manager finally brought them to the table. Good, of course, but cold! The bill was wrong, but the manager was able to sort it out — after 3 tries. Perhaps we will visit another location next time.

Killer country fried steak here, and I have to say my Chicken Bruschetta dish (see photos) was better than expected too. They seem to have really upped the quality. Decent mozzarella on my chicken, it wasn’t just some melted diner junk, they were real, thick, round slices of soft mozzarella!
They’ve also recently started putting the calories on their menus. I’m still undecided whether I appreciate that, or whether it just makes me feel sad that everything I like on the menu has obscene amounts of calories. Fortunately they’ve started offering healthier, low cal meals, like my chicken dish, with flatbread, rice, veggies, mozzarella, and still only 600 calories. Not bad!

I love this place. Its always a french dip or a chicken fried when I go and I love their mashed potatoes.

Their pies are great, their service is OK, and their free wifi is a plus.
