Great staff and delicious food. Bartender helped me pair a delicious local wine to a featured baked Asian salmon dish with noodles and cucumber. Great ambiance and music. Bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was homemade and to die for. Will definitely be back. This place is only 3 minutes off the highway and there’s plenty of parking available.

I love the Cork. From the rotating seasonal menu, to the wonderful wines; you’d be hard pressed to get as much bang for your buck in the Flint area. For those who claim that it’s too expensive, I have to wonder if they have much experience with fine dining. This is one of my favorite places to dine.

I went to The Cork with my son and Boyfriend yesterday and was not impressed by the food at all… to start with the portion were extremely small… the dinners do not come with salads or any kind of bread… I also think it was over priced.

I met a friend here and we had drinks and apps. The calamari was light and tasty, my friends food(spinach and artichoke crab dip) was pretty good. I felt the place was overpriced. Really wish it was a better deal to grab a quick bite there, might stop in again and try something else on the menu.

Bored. This place was so boring. The ambiance was terrible. I would rather listen to Michael Buble during non Christmas time than go here.

My workplace has held a couple of dinners here and they do not disappoint. The restaurant has a nice upstairs area for larger parties which we were able to decorate and rearrange furniture as we pleased. It is also away from the main restaurant area which allowed for easier conversation. Although we had a limited menu, there were good options for both meat and vegetarian dishes and plenty of appetizers. My favorite of the night was definitely my dessert– apple tort with vanilla ice cream. Minus one star for slow service as I’m usually starving by dinner time after a long day and I wish I didn’t have to wait so long for my entrée to arrive. After dinner we headed downstairs for drinks and our waitress was very attentive-almost too attentive. We were trying to have a discussion and she kept interrupting us asking if we needed anything else. I appreciate the effort, but sense the tone!

Super nice cocktail bar. The ambiance is both fun and laid-back, but upscale at the same time. Have a craft beer or custom cocktail at the bar while watching a Tiger’s game or stay awhile longer and enjoy a nice meal and a bottle of wine with your date in a cozy corner of the restaurant. I like the«enomatic» wine machine– expensive but worth it if you’re into wine. The food is good, savory and creative, not pretentious. Trust me, it lives up to all of the hype, but if you’re a burger and fries type of person, it probably will not be your thing. Expensive, but fun. I think Cork is a nice bar to get a custom cocktail after work or a quality meal that doesn’t follow the pizza, burger and fries concept. A must for avowed wine snobs!

Fantastic food, perfect cocktails, and excellent service. Start with a cheese plate, enjoy the coffee rubbed filet, and end with the expresso brownie with ice cream and hot fudge. Oh and have a bottle of the Teacher!

This is one of our favorite date spots. We consistently get the bacon and onion dip and never regret it. It’s a blast getting the wine card and sampling a huge range of wines. The staff are super friendly and the owner has a great memory of her customers. A bit pricy, but worth every penny. We have tried a number of main course dishes and never been let down. Has a definite romantic atmosphere, great second or third date spot. If you’re not a big wine fan the rotating array of cocktails are great! They change to match the season, which can be very fun.

One of Flint’s Greatest Restaurants! The food is incredible and never disappoints. The people and the atmosphere are excellent. For an appetizer I would recommend the calamari with aioli sauce to dip in. If you like sweet white wine try their moscato. There are always different specials so keep those in mind when you go.

Third time, third disappointment. Salmon dish was overcooked and just plain bland. Beet salad was boring. Meal was just overall bland. Nothing really exceptional

Been here 3 times. Excellent choices of drinks. Go for the specials. I always do. Duck, Scallops and Halibut were excellent. 3 for 3.

The drinks are watered down food is better at the torch the chips are about the only thing worth a darn. You pay for more than you get here.

Enjoyed a nice Saturday evening here. Just had wine and apps. Very clean with attentive service. I was hoping for a better wine experience, since it is a wine bar, I was hoping for a tasting menu or at least some education on their offerings. We just ordered a couple glasses and waitress had to look at our menu to be able to write it properly on her ticket. The calamari was a little greasy and over salted. Crab dip was good but had a thick coat of what tasted like old bay seasoning on top. Onion dip was very good maybe a little on the sweet side. Will go back to try their entrees but I have to rate this as a wine bar at which it didn’t do so well.

Eaten here twice. Once with another couple and once with my in-laws. On the first visit, I had the scallops on special. When they showed up, my husband was jealous. He had ordered some kind of ragu pasta that he described as something I’d cook from things I bought at Trader Joes. Not bad, but unremarkable. Their wine by the glass is good and their bottle are very reasonably priced. The waitress was able to recommend a bottle our entire table liked. They serve coffee roasted locally in Ferndale(my favorite) and try to source local ingredients where they can. My dining companions enjoyed crab cakes, a burger and another pasta dish. All were good.

The Lonely Hearts Club decided to venture here on Valentine’s Day(to further torture ourselves, but with a good meal and wine). The Southwest Black Bean Burger was THE best I have ever had. Topped with avocado, tomato, onion, lettuce, and chipotle mayo… it was so juicy and delicious! A side of sweet potato fries came with it. Most of the wines on the menu are served by the bottle, not by the glass, so I opted to drown my sorrows in a bottle of Shiraz. The ugly cry face came later for dessert ;) The lighting was dim and it was the perfect place to take a date or to unwind after a long day. The staff were the utmost professional and I will definitely be back here to nosh on that burger again. It also didn’t hit the pocketbook terribly bad either, $ 33 for the whole night.

I can’t get enough of the specials. I was having dinner here a few times a week for the longest time, now I get in as much as I am able. I recommend the specials, especially the fish if they have it. Marilyn is awesome at what she does at the bar too. She always comes up with random creations that are amazing. She knows her stuff.

Wow, wish I could go to this place more often. The reviews here don’t lie. Fun little joint with top notch food and quality wines! They have a wine sampler machine that is really cool. You charge up your«credit card» with some $ and then scan it into the machine, select which wine you want to sample and the quantity of wine(from small 1−2oz. tastes to half glasses). Some reviews mention poor service, but I have had good success every time. The food is a rotating menu but everything I had has been really good. A typical night for us: Start at Cork, have an appetizer and some fine wine, head down the street to Blackstone’s for dinner then top the evening off over at the Torch!

Tasty food, a good wine selection, and nice service makes it easy to put Cork on your list when you’re in Flint. I came with a group of 6, so we were able to sample widely across the menu and everyone agreed that they really liked their meal. We started with the Dancing Goat Cheese Bruschetta(phenomenal), the Calamari(very tender), and a House Cheese Platter. I opted for the Carrot Soup special(a little thicker than I had expected — almost more like a purée) and the Crab Cakes(not huge, but all meat), which both had unique flavors that I enjoyed. We finished off the meal with the House Made Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies, which were enormous and deliciously fresh-out-of-the-oven warm.
