I ordered to go from this place and when I opened my order at home the food was a mess. The avocado was black the chicken was dry and the beans were cold. I then called the restaurant and asked that this order be picked up from my home bc I was not satisfied with the food. Well that took almost an hour and 30 mins. I emailed the management about this and was never given a response. Not the way you run a business. Customer service is everything.

Amazing food, great service. Sometimes call them for delivery, and always have my food at my door lighting fast. Can def. recommend the whole chicken with rice and beans. Amazing! Has a great ambience inside. Love the feel to it. A+

I have to say it is unfortunate but the quality of the food has gone way down. I have ordered from this place for the last 4 years starting from their first restaurant near richmond hill/Kew gardens. Way to obvious they are cutting corners in forest hills. the pernil the last few times I have ordered is a mixture of dry with an odd taste. maybe old oil. but there is a weird taste/smell in the Moro rice with pernil. My husband had loved them and used to order all the time for lunch, dinner prob breakfast if I didn’t catch him. He won’t even consider ordering from them anymore. Hopefully they do a quick turn around. I would want to try the first location again to see if something has happened with their food quality. hope not.

If your looking for amazing hot food with a latin twist then look no furthur. The entraña is juicy and comes with an amazing green sauce and chimichurri. Bring a date or order out its worth the stop.

I really love this place! I’ve been to sit in and order out and both times were delicious. I suggest the chicken over any of their other dishes. A whole chicken is enough for two to three meals for me, and it’s tender, juicy and well seasoned. I also really love their ground beef empanadas, the yellow rice, and the bottled mango juice they carry. A great addition to the neighborhood.

I ordered from them both for delivery(via seamless) and for sit-in. The food is tasty, portions are generous, and delivery has been timely. My favorite is Pollo Saltado. I am generally happy with the place and will be ordering more.(So far the only complaint is that one time this young woman waitress was really clueless and insisted that they don’t have tea — when I ordered it a couple of days before with no issues).

Ordered from Tu Casa twice. First time, we got the incorrect cut of chicken and rancid yucca fries. They offered to reimburse us, because they«ran out of chicken breast». Two hours later, a weary delivery person rang our doorbell and handed us a chicken breast and yucca fries. Second time, our order was incorrect again. When we called, a very rude woman demanded that we return our order as proof that we were not lying. If you enjoy mystery chicken, rancid oil and being accused of trying to steal, order from Tu Casa.

One of my favorite. There’s never a long wait, you know exactly what kind of food you’ll be getting. It’s very delicious. Right by my apartment, always deliver on time. The place is nice and clean, a little small but totally doable. Thank god a new Spanish restaurant opened up here because all the others are in the two star range. The tres leches is great, I forgot the name of the meal I get, but it’s basically steak, rice, chicken. Best ever!

A great addition to the neighborhood, TUCASA serves up a mean chicken and outstanding sides. Although they’re well known for their rotisseries, the seafood and steak platters whipped up here are just as tasty and will keep you coming back for more! The ceviche is nicely prepared with the right amount of zest and the tostones are crispy yet tender! Try the Camarones Saltado for an interesting twist on the typical shrimp dish! It’s flavorful with a hint of bbq and prepared with tomatoes and onions. They also give each table a bottle of green sauce and garlic sauce to enjoy with your meals, which is an added plus in my book! PS-They don’t have a liquor license so be forewarned if you’re looking for some drinks!

Last week I ordered the pernil with mora rice. The pork was perfection the rice was over seasoned. My girlfriend ordered the Peruvian chicken fried rice, her entire dish was super over seasoned. It was like licking spices. Horrible cooking on the chefs part. The only thing that was perfect was the pernil. Come on tu case pick up your game.

Hubby and I went here for the first time. We were really impressed! we would have liked a glass of wine but it’s BYOB so hubby bought beers down the block at 7 – 11 ;-) I had chicken with rice and beans and hubby had pork chops. we shared a dulce de leche cake. it was reasonably priced, the food was good and the service was good. we did have to wait a while for our food to arrive and our waitress never mentioned or apologized for the wait. We will definitely be going back!

It is written Peruvian but there is nothing Peruvian about it in terms of quality of food and service I am sorry! they are usually very nice in customer service! First service because this was my first and last experience: I came in for lunch, the waiter was very nice, and I told him that I was in a hurry if he could expedite my order, in the meantime I would order a soda. 30mns later although, there were only 4 persons still nothing, so I asked my order to go, 5 mns later still nothing. So I got up with my baby to approach the manager and said politely, if it is ready I will pay to take it to go, otherwise I will pay for my soda. Shockingly, he was the one upset and told me with an attitude and a hand gesture«it’s ok don’t even pay for the soda» and then the waiter started to say sorry have a nice day but he cut him off and said with a hand gesture«no no don’t»! ! I mean WOW, how rude!!! I was polite, I expected apologies and maybe a delivery or something. I have been to many Peruvians in the area and never got this attitude, but this manager is so rude and not professional! Plus he seemed more preoccupied by his deliveries than people in the restaurant, Honestly, if I was a man he would not have acted this way or who knows fromt he previous reviews, maybe he would have! Plus I had a baby so I was not there to be difficult! Food: my friend had ordered it for us and it was not great just OK, and the prices in the evening are not competitive with the others in the area. I will definitely let all the mummies know! So if you are just OK and services and prices are not descent you are not worth my time. The 1 star is just for the decoration and paintings on the wall! If you change the manager let me know and we will come back!

I have to say I was skeptical at first due to the not so good reviews, but glad i over looked them. Food is always delish, really fast delivery, and staff is always very friendly(over the phone, as i have never been to the actual restaurant) One occasion where the food took longer than usual and a side was missing, Max the manager quickly fixed the problem and was very apologetic. Not sure why all the bad reviews, but im an honest Unilocaler and i have order from them at least10 times, and besides that one random occasion, everything has been great. I say, give it a try and judge for yourself!

i’ve been to a few Tu Casa locations and this has definitely become my favorite. I walked in to Tu Casa and wanted to dine alone but the servers and the manager made me feel so welcomed and at home that I forgot I was even alone. Tu Casa always has some lovely food. You can be certain you are going to get fresh and delicious food but the reason this place is a must try is the very lovely staff. This is absolutely a place I will frequent in the future.

The worst delivery service ever!!! Be prepared to warm up your own food. I’ve been waiting for delivery for over an hour and fifteen minutes and when I call to check they told me the delivery guy left a long time ago. 20 minutes later they call to confirm my address and they are still not here. I ordered from Pio Pio instead and went to pick it up. Got the food and made it back faster then this place could deliver my food. Don’t order from here.

Was with someone that wanted Spanish and I initially was going to go to Cabana since it was a nice evening. The person wanted roasted chicken and since I looked it up already, asked if they rather go to Tu Casa. We walked there which was a few blocks from Cabana. I had called earlier about outside seating but that’s the metropolitan location, was already in the area so figured to try it. We were welcomed by a gentleman at the register(max I think) and asked if we wanted romantic lol. We sat down and the waitress came out. Its BYOB which can be good but I def think they should make a house sangria as the only alcoholic option(please!). Ordered calamari which was a good size to share between 2 people and it was good. I ordered the churassco and rice with salad. It probably was about $ 30. Which isn’t bad but isn’t great. That kind of entrée should always be rice/beans and a small salad but hey that’s just my thought and experience with Peruvian restaurants. The steak was good, the only thing was that my beans weren’t to hot but whatever. The food was good and I actually took it home and had it for lunch at work. My friend enjoyed his chicken and maduros. All in all, its a cool spot. I usually travel to Brooklyn for this type of food but will come back to try the Jalea and def byob. I don’t think it would be good for huge parties due to the size but I guess try anyway. I enjoyed my food and will returning soon.

Came in for a big family dinner for a group of 10 on Saturday. Food is delicious and reasonably price. However this particular moment of service went sour real quick. (Take it with a grain a salt but this is what I experienced) Nose in the air service: — Food came out unreasonably late. — No apologies No explanation — No friendly demeanor waiter service — No Water+refills, had to be requested — No concern or follow up. Ex. The golden service recovery question«How is EVERYONEs food?» This could be for several reasons. He had a bad day. He’s a disgruntled short staffed manager/supervisor. He’s a green employee. He’s just not the friendly type. He didn’t realize how he was coming off. All easily understandable however none shared. It’s the server’s duty to understand the customer, not the other way around. Restuarant was not busy. We made reservations and were expected. A good experience is not only based on the product but on the service. (This soley applies to the one server. The busladies were nice and smiled all the time. The gentlemen at the register was very friendly when I asked him for a plastic bag) Simple Solution: Apologize and Empathize«I’m sorry for the wait. Thank you all for waiting so patiently. We appreciate you coming here». Colgate smile* Follow up «How is everyone’s food» «Glad you enoyed it» «That’s awesome» Who would have thought It could be that simple. ***When management reads this they can roll their eyes and make excuses and sigh or they can question how he/she prevent from further reviews like this because I know 9 people so far who are ready to give the lowest rating. Take it from a hospitality manager. No photos please: Requested server if he could take picture of our group. He stopped and turned to clarify if we wanted to order a cocktail. We warmly requested if he could take the pic again. The camera phone was out and angeled already(would have taken 15 secs and would have made up for our long wait on the food) He ignores request and says oh I thought you wanted a drink. I’ll give him that he was dropping off a plate at another table. Camera phone is still out, he passes us again, regretably acknowledges we are still trying to take the picture, curtly commits to take the picture after a return… Spoiler alert: We ended up taking a bunched up group selfie. Order your Delivery ahead of time: As someone else earlier stated. I’ve ordered delivery from here before and it did take a bit more than an hour. I live .7 miles away. Grubhub menu cheaper: The prices on grubhub was $ 2 less than when you sit in. For what it’s worth, the place is good. It’s the third Tu Casa location I’ve noticed. They’re doing something right. Just this particular experience is what this review is based off. I do not want free food or refund. Just to share with the public

Three and a half stars actually. Service is good from being seated to wait staff to table busing. BYOB which saves $. Fried calamari was crisp outside and tender inside. Their green sauce and garlic sauce are amazing. Chicken wings were average. Over fried and sauce tasted like Frank’s(which is good but average-no thought went into the wings). Pernil with rice was good as was ceviche mixto. Nothing was over the top but this visit warrants a second so we can try the chicken and desserts and other main entrees.

I am super excited to bring my friend Silvana Diaz here because she is always asking for us to go to a «real» Peruvian spot so she can order her favorite dish — Tallarin Verde(Pesto Pasta). So finally Forest Hills has a great Peruvian spot with a full Peruvian menu! AND they have lunch specials!!! Really really cute atmospehere inside, as the interior decorating is very nice. They even had some Sangria to sample at the bar area. The chicken was on the dry side, not as moist as others, but the seasoning and green sauce were spot on. I will be back to try a bunch of other things on their menu though!
