The staff and this place in general sucks. Comparing this to sisu uptown is like comparing Taco Bell to capital grill if Taco Bell cost as much as capital grill.

I got dragged here by a few of my friends, and I honestly screamed after checking in and seeing the star rating. Some of the reviews on here are just so hilariously bad, so I put on a brave face and prepared myself for the worst. The worst never really happened but neither did the best. I didn’t really get the appeal of this place(my friends are apparently avid fans), especially since we were in such close proximity to other(better) bars. As weird as it sounds, one of the most annoying features of this place for us was the giant overhead fan — it literally was creating a light wind that kept sweeping my hair into my friend’s and I’s faces. Drinks weren’t anything particularly special — I tried something but I literally cannot remember what it was. I think it was a margarita? It was okay, but I don’t think I’d order it again. The minimum requirement for a cocktail shouldn’t just be «drinkable», ya know? They did have a bunch of large TVs, so I’d say it’s an alright option for watching a game, but that’s not really a game-changer(pardon the pun) for this place. I didn’t have to get past a list but we were also there in the middle of the day(to watch a game). Regardless, the experience was just blah… there was nothing that set it apart from the other bars on 7th, so it’s hard to justify coming back.

Racist fucks, won’t let Asians on weekends. Tried thrice and on week days they let you in. Strange world

I wish I could leave a zero star review. This place is racist and the bar tenders have zero self awareness and are lost souls that are god awful at what they do.

Still believe this is the segregated garden. The list is bull shit. Haven’t went back since my last visit because I’m not even a drinker, but my friends have and still no entry. Please go and like the fb page Ban the whiskey garden for more info on how to bring attention to this.

I enjoy coming here, maybe because I’m drunk by the time I do come to this bar. They have a pool which is covered since it is winter right now, and a few arcade games. Never had a problem at the door.

Discrimination ALERT!!! Obviously they want all Caucasians in this bitch. I don’t recommend it if you’re of another ethnicity. At this day and age, we shouldn’t have to deal with this atrocity. This place will get shutdown. It’s just a matter of time. The door guy with the red cap is a true a-hole idiot; and I say that lightly. He’ll ask if you’re on the guest list even though there’s none. If he would have said that we need girls or more diverse crowd, I would have understood. Just being honest is the key. Don’t waste you’re money at this disgusting and trashy establishment. There are plenty of other bars. To help stop discriminatory practices at this douchebag bar:

Racist. If you’re not white, you’re not getting in. We took our gook/chink money elsewhere

This place is nice especially in the summer time I like the pool. The atmosphere is better than the service. Everybody there seems pissed off. But a nice place. The time I went they had a DJ and he was playing great music.

a lot of my friends have written about how bad of experiences they’ve had here… so i was very hesitant to even try to go in cause i’ve been told at the door at the library that i look shitty and i cant come in LOL. denied at the library how shitty did i look? HAHAH. but i digress. i met up some friends waited in line for 10min the door people didnt give me any problems. the drinks were pretty cheap so i liked that. the music was on point. and i had a little sitting area to myself which was greatness because people watching is loads of fun when theyre drunk haha. so i had a great time. idk whats with all my friends. I’ll admit, the set-up and décor of this place is pretty cool. However — the service is downright AWFUL. The first time I tried to go here, my group got turned down by the doorman for not having a high enough girl: guy ratio. Second attempt months later, my friends and I did get in but within just minutes of being there, I was groped twice by two different randos. I immediately reported the second incident and pointed the guy out to a security guard who had the worst attitude about it. He shrugged and went, «What do you want me to do about it? You’re at a bar, what do you expect?» From the doormen to security, this staff is full of douchebags. The venue itself has potential. Staff is the WORST. Didn’t venture much into the crowd, but I had no desire to after getting grabbed at.

I live down the block from this place so I was excited that a new venue had opened up so close… then we went. First time, I couldn’t find the entrance. Seriously, I’m an adult-person with another adult and we couldn’t find it. So we awkwardly walked past it and kept going on to The Local. The second time we were a bit luckier, got in, got a drink, and let the people watching commence. This place is just all over the place. The décor is unique but 10 unique things in a room makes it looks a little crazy. There is sort of a ‘main’ area to the left, the pool in the middle, and a nook/arcade area-bar on the right. We went for one drink to witness the hot mess happening in front of us and left. The second time was for my birthday, just to show my friends what I was talking about. We did exactly the drill last time. Everyone get one drink, take a good, entertaining look around and peace out. We did, however, have a friend jump in the pool, which he later regretted. A really random group of people party here. drunk girls in bikinis, dudes that look like they’re ready for a swim but won’t go in, that group of guys still in their work clothes… I digress.

There is no list here… it is an excuse. The bar is nice, and has a lot of unique characteristics, but, it is dousch bag central. I have been twice. I’ve never had a problem with the door staff, but the service is slow and the crowd is just a bunch of preppy kids… If you’re over 22, and have the mentality of someone over 22… this place is not for you. It reminds me of a rookie fraternity or sorority party. The guys there are nothing special. They are over confident in the way they dress, act and approach women there.(I guess if they’re approaching the typical female customer there it may work)… Guys…muscle shirts are to be worn by MEN that have MUSCLES and take care of themselves. … NOT by flabby little boys with fat arms! :( They really should reconsider the«list» of people and the clientele they let in this club. It has alot of potential…

Cool place but worst attitude at the door. A lot of my friends have been turned away from here and all of them by froto douche baggins. This little dude at the door likes to find creative ways not to let you in. The first instance with him was a buddy wearing some chuck taylors and froto told him his shoes can’t be that high on his ankle. Next instance was a friend who had a hat on. Froto turned him away because the brim was not bent enough. He told him bend it and you can go in. Of course we refused based on principle. Two weeks ago another buddy who has a degree in neuroscience from MIT was turned away for wearing red polo shorts. He was told that this is a gang color and could not go in. When you could clearly see he looked like every other TCU student in there. This is not except able behavior here in Fort Worth. The reason I like going to west 7th is because the crowd is so very chill.

I’m still partial to this place. But it’s getting to the point where I’m hearing a lot of people being turned away because of how selective they are. It’s 2015. THISISFORTWORTH. If they want to turn people away, I feel bad for their business. If you are one to get in, it’s not too bad. The music is to my liking for the most part and the drinks weren’t overly priced. The shots were definitely shots and made this place much more tolerable. It is very cool inside. So it would be best to dress nice, especially on the weekends. There is that dinky pool. I haven’t seen anyone in there. In case you don’t know how to swim, they have floaty animals to assist. Not sure if I would bother with the food unless severely drunk. Parking can be an issue. I wouldn’t expect to find close parking during peak hours. I’m also confused with the whiskey name. Let’s just say the whiskey ninja wouldn’t come here to sip and ponder on some whiskey.

Stay away. This is by far the worst bar I’ve ever«attempted» to go to. I’ve been to a lot of places in many different cities and never have I been turned away from entering a business. I wait in line for 10 minutes, no big deal, it’s normal for Fort Worth in areas of west 7th. I get to the door and the guy looks at my ID and asks«how many people are with you?» I said«just me and my friend» and pointed. Then he said the entrance is for people on the guest list or the members list only. Seriously? So I told them I had a friend inside and stepped out of line to call him, he said if I could contact my friend I could get in. He couldn’t get my call so I asked the other bouncer how do you get on the guest or member list. «You have to know someone inside or know a bartender.» AREYOUKIDDINGME? You’re denying me service because I don’t know who is inside and I’m a new PAYING customer? Way to welcome new business. This is not how a business is ran, it’s horrible customer service. I honestly think it was discrimination because my friend was Hispanic. After we got out of line, they let 10 more white people in. I’m white, and it seemed like I was fine until I pointed to my Hispanic friend. This is definitely a place that will never see my business EVER again and I most definitely will spread the word about their terrible service. I look forward to the day they get shut down and a better ran establishment moves in that actually knows how to grow respect in their community.

My friends and I heard about this bar and wanted to check it out. We came a little early so there was no line and had no trouble getting in(they didn’t ask if we were on the list). It got packed pretty quickly though. I did like the music except for it being extremely loud in some areas. The design of the bar is cool and unique — it’s not like any other bar on 7th. However, the crowd was douche central and the pool is practically in the middle and you have a narrow hallway to walk through to get to the other side. So of course people are dancing in that narrow space between the cabanas and the pool and you’re praying you don’t get twerked in. No one was swimming in the pool when we were there at night. I think they should put railing around the pool to make it safer. Drunk or clumsy people could easily slip on the wet floor and fall in when its that packed. Our first bartender(girl) was really slow at the smaller bar so we started getting drinks at the larger one on the left side with mostly men bartenders and they were much faster! The girl bartender also charged us more for the same drinks that we got on the other side. She charged $ 7 for a vodka tonic which is more than other places in the area. When we were leaving the line was really long and we saw people skipping the line and going to the front(cute girls mostly) and they would let them in. This place is really new so it’s attracting all the wrong people but hopefully the next new bar will attract all the Frodo Douchebaggins there instead. It has potential and is probably much better during the day when it’s not as crowded with asshats. 7th St used to attract a better crowd but it’s getting worse.

I was just here last weekend for my best friends bachelorette party! We left reservoir and the bouncer outside took us to check it out! Skipped the long line«thank god“and had some of their drinks! If you like frozen drinks, the dream sickle is amazing! The guy who took us was very nice and said they had just opened last Thursday. It was a very cool atmosphere and already packed for being kind of tucked away and just opening BUT the bartenders were a bit rude. My best friend and I stood at the bar for at least 15 minutes before I guess a regular, called the bartender over. He saw us plenty of times. Jerk.

Opening weekend — I… don’t really know how to properly describe what’s going on here. There’s a swimming pool. Nobody is really here for whiskey. «Garden» apparently has some other meaning than the one I have in mind. Seems like a happening spot, though.
