The whoopee was five stars and the chicken wings were a solid 4 ½. I’ll be back but next time I’ll bring a blanket because my back chafed.

Okay this is a mixed review. The food taste was excellent and the dinner menu was a nice assortment. The entre portions were worth the price which was slightly higher than advertised on the website. The service was curious and kind… Albeith we had to seat ourselves after no one greeted us at the door and we stood there for four minutes. The downsides were unusual… First the menu did not match what was on the website but that could be a seasonal thing so I asked the server is this the only menu and they said yes. But if we wanted something not on it just let them know. So my wife ordered one of two specials. Roasted red pepper fettucini. wih alfedo sauce and it was creamy and light… I passed on he second special because it was $ 3less on the menu. And I did not want to feel cheated or have to ask why the special was $ 16 but the menu had the same item for $ 12. So I ordered the crab pasta which was $ 16 and great. The bread was the bomb too. However we also order a appetizer of Calamari which came out 5 minutes after the entrees… And for $ 10 was tasty but not worth the expense. It was less than a palm full of fried pieces. Mostly crustings. And about five or six whole pieces. We came for the music. A friend was playing… We sat and watched others who came for our friends band too be served gigantic plates of burgers, wings, nachos, etc. None of which we saw on the menu… And we asked. Is this the only menu… So we were surprised when the bartender who helped serve us told us… Yeah that’s the bar side menu… Which is where we were sitting. We would go again IF our friend was playing. But we would not make a special trip. Overall good for a small quaint place that does not pretend to be five star. They are shooting for 3 or 4 and probably can earn that most times base on the servers friendly attitude and food taste. Just get a better understanding of the offering and pricing.

Well can’t really rate it as we never got to eat. Wa looking forward to trying this place. Tried for lunch only to find out they were only open for dinner. Returned for dinner on Saturday night. First hint that things would not turn out right was that the place was empty. We were seated in the bar area and given blah bar menus. We had been really looking forward to Greek food so asked for the dinner menu. It was 7:30 Saturday night so that was a reasonable request for a place that bills itself as fine dining on its door. That’s when we were told they didn’t really have food because the chef wasn’t there. Didn’t that bear mentioning before we were seated?

Real bad. Undercooked chicken. Cabbage tasted like it was seasoned with strawberry jam and hot sauce. A pool of oil on my plate. Overpriced.

Thisn is a neighborhood bar and grill with great happy hour drink and food specials. Many patrons stop in after riding home on the VRE train. Recently they have added Karaōke and live music during the week.

Asked for a cup of tea and it took 12 minutes to arrive. When it got to my table, it was black as ink and twice as bitter. The calamari arrived. Light as air batter with perfect crunch. Loved it. Followed with red pepper soup with crab. The crab was outstanding, but the soup was surprisingly bland. Then came my dining partner’s seafood Alfredo. Large scallops and shrimp smothered in sauce, over linguini. More sauce that you usually get, just the way we like it. My dish was the highlight of the night. Lamb shanks in a red wine sauce over potatoes, red peppers, onions, tomatoes, and broccoli. The lamb was fall off the bone tender, the vegetables cooked just right, and the sauce was perfection on a plate. We’ll be back.

No bar menu available. No one to greet us upon our arrival. Bathroom dirty. Left before ordering. Chef appeared to be groping someone on the street in front of the business as we left.

Went here on a week ago on the relaunch weekend and could not be happier with our experience. Wife had the grapevine which was amazing and I had the grilled calamari. It was the best calamari I have ever had and I eat a lot of calamari. Fresh, creative and totally delish. Will be back again and again. This NEW chef should be very proud and the owner is extremely smart for procuring him. We are in love with café New Orleans and now grapevine café. A total package and a winner

NEWEXECUTIVECHEF! We dine in Fred weekly and I can honestly say this was the best dinner entrée I have had in weeks, maybe even months! I loved my grapevine chicken and my husband said his lamb was excellent. Wonderful Mediterranean cuisine with local fresh ingredients, imported cheeses and house made pasta! My only«complaint» is that I didn’t have room for dessert my entrée was so good. I will be honest what little I had heard wasn’t impressive and passing by on walks it didn’t piqué my interest, but after restaurant week we made a pact to branch out and try all our local eateries and our first new try out of the deal and we will for sure be repeat customers! Fred diners give this place a retry!

This was our first visit to The Grapevine and we were delighted. Easy street parking, great atmosphere, above average food, good friendly service, and a great price. The comfortable booths and etched glass dividers gave you the feeling of privacy. When they brought out the warm bread and olive oil I was sold. Don’t miss the Broccoli Soup.
