Can I leave less than one star?
New store owner, Dave Engel, hasn’t been withholding taxes properly for employee paychecks since, at least, January 2015. They refuse to mail paychecks to employees that have quit or been terminated who choose not to come into the store to pick them up because working there was such a miserable experience.
Employees have had to REQUEST legal paychecks just to be able to provide proof of employment to get an apartment. This employee received ONE legal paycheck for the entire year of 2015. The store manager, regularly, fails to order the basic supplies. like LETTUCE. Every negative review for this store is absolutely justified.

We used to like this place a lot, but it is really going downhill.
They were trying hard here, training a new guy but there were lots of problems. He was going to use an avocado that was going brown until I stopped him, and forgot toppings until I reminded him of them.
The soda machine was out of ice, and a couple of the soda options as well.
This place is supposed to be changing into something called Greens and Grains, will wait to go back until then.

The girls behind the counter were doing the best they could, but at lunchtime in a Friday they «haven’t got any bread, wraps or chili. Add to that the soda machine didn’t have any ice, and it made an unsatisfying visit. I gave it two stars because you can’t screw up a salad, but otherwise this place needs help.

Salad was disgusting, not a lot of options. My boyfriend and I went when they first opened their location in Fredericksburg, so disappointed! The guy behind the counter was extremely rude and acted like he was bothered to be making our salads. He sighed when we gave him our orders, rolled his eyes, and shook his head when asked for additional dressing. Seriously? This is your job. Overall made ordering unpleasant and awkward. Felt like we were making a mistake just telling him what we wanted. Once we actually got our order, the lettuce was wilted and bitter and the toppings tasted like they were a couple of days old. Haven’t been back since. Will not go back again.

Good afternoon. I didn’t look at the opinions until after I sat and began eating our salads. I’m glad I waited because I would of missed out. My salad was terrific. I had their creation Thai Crunch with spinach. Everything was tasty and service was good. This was on a Thursday at 2:30 pm so it’s not lunch time. It is worth it for me.
I wouldn’t do the gelato. That’s not their niche.

One star is overrated. Gelato cooler with soon give birth to aliens. It’s very dirty filthy. No ice in the ice machine. Mens room smells. Over dosed salad with dressing Will not return. Very unsanitary

Disgusting. How do you ruin a salad? Oh yeah, take the cheapest ingredients, cheap meat stored at room temperature, disgusting dressings and charge 10 $ more than its worth. Ate two bites of my 12 $ salad and threw it away trying not to throw up. Idk how this place is still in business. Gross gross gross!

Don’t go here. Roommate and myself got food poisoning, no fun. Sorry guys

I love the concept of this restaurant, but there are many issues that I think are going to lead it to failure.
The staff’s attention to the customer is very lacking. They are very slow and it takes a very long time for them to make a salad. During today’s visit there were two staff working the line and three customers ahead of us. It took us 25 minutes to get out salads. The one employee stood there not doing anything as she gossiped with one of the other customers
This place was «out» of a lot of things-Didn’t have: bread for panini, bread sticks, bowls for chili, Asian dressing, diet mt dew. This tells me that the management is either doing a very poor job of managing the place or yeah, that’s it.
When this place closes I’d like to buy your salad bowls.

So close I can walk to it, but I definitely won’t go back. Ordered the Soup & Sandwich. The Red Pepper soup was tasty. I also had the Turkey Harvest Panini — first time I had ground turkey on a sandwich. The panini was HORRIBLE! Ground turkey — really?
