3 strikes and you’re out. So we wanted to try their breakfast. First of all, no credit card machine. We walk down to the nearest ATM and pay $ 4 to get cash. Then, no hollandaise sauce so all of the benedicts are out. Then, no biscuits and gravy. Ok, I wonder why they are called a breakfast place. Oh well. We left to find someplace that actually has breakfast items.

Came by for a quick meal. Impossible! They make everything from scratch and to order. The food here is very tasty and to do that, sit a spell and enjoy the wait with a drink. Refills are free. Service was very good. Will be back. Ordered the chicken fried steak. Came with gravy and toast and mashed potatoes. Very good flavor, taste and serving size. Ice tea cup never went dry. Their special(meat loaf sandwich) was inviting but was sold out already at 11:30AM. Menu was pretty extensive. There’s plenty to offer for any taste. I recommend this place and will be back when I’m in the Fresno downtown area.

I am giving this place 4 Stars because of the food. It was surprisingly really good! The service was mediocre, in retrospect there was only one server for about 10 tables and the restaurant is small so I guess they were doing the best they could. If you want to venture downtown then you have to try the Cinnamon Roll Pancake, Popeye Omelet and the biscuits and gravy. We came with friends and split these items. The portions are huge and very tasty!

I had the joy of trying this place recently. We came in and it was packed, but they had a seat open for my party. We sat and the servers were very helpful and kind. I ordered the pork chop breakfast, one of my friends ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes. Everything was delicious! Especially, the Cinnamon Roll pancakes.(I stole more than a bite :) The only thing that was a concern for me was it was a bit hot in there. I hope come Summer they are prepared. The food and service is a solid 5. The comfort level took them down a notch. i will be back to try more items.

Had to drop a friend off at the train station which is a few blocks down the way. So Unilocaled this place and all I had to do was see the Cinnamon Roll pancake and I was sold! It was the best pancake i have ever eaten! It was as heavy as i was thinking which was nice. Very soft warm and served with no syrup or butter unless requested. I defiantly will be back to try more off the menu!

Decent food. The waitresses are great. The cooks seemed to be overwhelmed the day we went. One of our meals was made and set up on the counter to be brought out for about 15 minutes before the other meal was ready, so the first plate was cold when they brought them to our table. Our waitress didn’t seem to notice, but another waitress walked by and got angry for us and took the food back to the kitchen to make it right. I might give this place another try someday just to see if we just went on an off-day for them.

We had a great experience here and the food was good(especially my chicken and waffles). However, there were a few things that could be improved. I felt like we had issues with customer service. Rather than being told that they had not made iced tea yet, I heard them freak out about it. After 10 minutes of no response I said that they could just give me coffee and they acted offended. The waitress that was helping us was not very prepared and seemed to be frustrated with what was going on behind the scenes. My husband’s eggs benedict was just okay– lacked a little flavor. My chicken and waffles though were definitely on point. I would say that for the Fresno area, they are definitely one of the best. I would go back for the chicken and waffles for sure.

I had no idea that downtown had such a cute little breakfast spot! My wife and I came here for take out because we were taking it to my mom at the hospital. My mom is a little complicated because she’s allergic to a lot or thing but they honored her request and made her something that wasn’t even on the menu. They only take cash which we didn’t have so we went down the street to get cash and then we didn’t have to wait long to get our food. My food hit the spot and my mom said hers was«The bomb». I highly recommend the California Burrito. It was ginormous and delicious! We will be back to try some more thing from the menu!

This place is so cute! Our waitress was so sweet and attentive she gave amazing service. I got the Vegetarian Benedict and it was so good! That’s where the 3 starts came from, however Everything else wasn’t very good. The country style potatoes, they were less than not good they were between burnt and not cooked just not good. My boyfriend got the pork-chop and eggs with hash brown and biscuit and gravy on the side. The pork-chop was burnt and everything else lacked flavor. :/

Today I had brunch with my mom at this cute restaurant in downtown! I had the eggs Benedict with spinach and a side of hasbrowns. My mom had an omelette and a side of country potatoes. I loved the décor of the restaurant. It was clean, simple, fresh and I really liked the high ceilings. The service was awesome! She was very friendly and was constantly checking up on us which was great. My moms coffee cup was always filled to the rim and we had plenty of napkins which was another plus. I really liked the service and the restaurant itself. The food way ok. I loved the hasbrowns but next time l have to try something different. Cool place.

I’ve been here 3 times now, and I’m just not impressed. The last time we came, my bf and I had asked for cheese on our scrambled eggs. Our waitress didn’t say anything about an extra fee, but it was expected– maybe $.50? When my food came, they did not put cheese, so she took our plates back. Almost 10 minutes later, they bring out plates back out with cheese added to the top of the eggs, and my bf’s sausages were gone. Then we had to ask for the sausage back. By the time we ate, everything was cold. We ended up paying $ 1.00 each for the added cheese. No apologies were made, no discount, nothing. It was a strange visit. Anyway, we probably won’t be back, just because nothing good stood out from our visits there.

Service was awesome! They talked to the kids like they already knew them and the kids loved it. Waffles are so good I ordered another plate to go. And I am not a waffle person. If you’re headed downtown our are in the area, you need to visit. Size of restaurant is awesome, cozy but roomy. Cooking and expo area open do it feels like the staff wants to experience it all and be with them. No where to hide. We’ll definitely be back.

Tried this place today and it was a hit and miss. I ordered the bacon and eggs with country potatoes with a side of biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were under cooked and the gravy a bit bland. My sister ordered the cinnamon roll pancake and that was delicious. I would still go back again to try the other food.

The breakfast hut at first catches you by surprise! it looks so small on the outside but it is so big on the inside! Very cool. Although it was very messy. I’ve worked in housekeeping and i feel like tables should be cleaned immediately after customers have left. I was very happy that they served cranberry juice but both mine and my girlfriends drinks were served without ice and that it wasn’t even offered. The food was really good all homemade and the portions were very very generous. The omelet was amazing and so was the cinnamon pancake. The service was great as well our waiter was very very nice. i would definitely give this place another shot because i feel like everything deserves a second chance. I just feel like cleanliness in a restaurant is a must.

Very underwhelming. Food took a very long time to come out and then it barely warm. Butter would not melt on waffle. Server friendly and knowledgeable, but clearly there were issues in the kitchen or in getting food from kitchen to table

Ordered a breakfast to go and it was obviously very busy and was told a 20 minute wait. 45 mins later still no order. I should have known and been a little smarter to realize it would be closer to an hour for a burrito. Nevertheless the food was 4⁄5 stars –1 for the service.

Yo son. This pace is pretty tasty! Greasy spoon diners are ALWAYS, all the rage and the Breakfast Hut isn’t any different. The menu here is something straight out of your stoner grandma’s cookbook, I mean Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, c’mon! Walking-in is like a timewarp, old school flooring, high tiled ceilings, and the smell of years and years of flavor, it’s like I was sitting in a well used cast iron skillet. We sat down and were helped immediately, after skimming a few reviews I had to try the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. The photos alone were causing my mouth to water uncontrollably. I also went with a savory option, times two, a side of biscuits and gravy and the Cali omelet? The biscuits and gravy were great, the biscuit was dense so it didn’t soak up all of the gravy, it stayed firm and flaky under smattering of flavorful sausage gravy, a definite must when at the BreakFAST hut. The Omelet was packed with veggies, meats, covered with cheese, and was about the size of brick! It was a breakfast classic, just like stoner grandma used to make. Seriously, this gut bomb was amazing and came with a side of house potatoes, which were seasoned just right and had the great potato crisp. Cinnamon Pancakes(That sounds so naughty) this fluffy giant pancake was flavored with cinnamon sugar, cinnamon rings, and covered in frosting. Oh mama. This thing is huge and can easily be shared with two people and few cups of coffee. I was so full, but I just couldn’t stop myself, it was pure foodie fornication. Ring the bell after your food-gasm and head off to take a nap somewhere. Thanks BreakFAST Hut!

Nice atmosphere, and friendly service. They give you a good portion, but if you order coffee, or juice your total will be around $ 15. That wouldn’t be too bad if the food had more flavor. It’s not bad, but it has the foundation of becoming something better. For example, their gravy is seasoned with just salt, and pepper, thickened by flour. Seems like they have their regulars who enjoy the western vibe. Wouldn’t make the trip back for myself, but I’d come here again if I were bringing friends who enjoyed country music, and Americana food.

Stopped in on New Year’s day. Quiet since the party crowd probably has not woke up yet. We were greeted and seated right away. Service was great and pleasant. Our food came out in a decent amount of time and was hot. I love when my food has NOT been sitting under a light while they finish cooking everyone’s food. We had a delicious variety of food and everything tasted fresh and homemade. We had plenty of food that we all took a box home except for my son. He had the chicken breast and waffle, it was a nice tender breast and waffle that all of us had a taste of.

Checking into this place is like stepping back into the 50’s. John Wayne and Clint Eastwood posters throughout the place. This isn’t your modern take on a restaurant. It’s very 50’s deco. I love it. Food? Best part! Had the traditional sausage and eggs with biscuit and gravy along with a side of the cinnamon pancake. Great food is universal. This place; very Americana. All my fellow Fresnans. No Nordstrom yuppie middle age lady patron in here. What a great place to just casually dine in.

Visited this restaurant on Veterans Day. It was really busy, even at 8:30 in the morning. Although busy, we were seated less than 10 minutes. The coffee was strong, rich and freshly made. They were even nice enough to quickly give me a fresh cup of coffee when I finished my first. I ordered a jalapeño chicken omelet. It came with country potatoes or hash brown and a side of biscuit and gravy. My boyfriend ordered a sausage patty with eggs, which also came with country potatoes and a side of biscuit and gravy. The portion was very, very generous!!! My omelet was very favorable and fulfilling. The country potatoes were lightly seasoned. I couldn’t finish my potatoes or biscuit and gravy. Seriously, my order alone would have feed the both of us. We left the place full and with happy belly. I gave this place 4 stars because the food and customer service was good, but nothing extraordinary.

I needed a downtown breakfast/brunch ASAP. We found this place with good options for morning food but I wasn’t prepared to be thrilled. The Fresno Burrito was amazing, eggs benedict was utterly fantastic. And even better when they filled my fat kid desire to another one with the other. Fresno burrito Benedict FTW

I’d give zero stars if I could. Where do I even start??? A friend and I walked in for breakfast as we were leaving town on Sunday. The woman quickly walked past us and said«sorry you’ll have to wait.» I understood that they were busy, but there were three tables that were unoccupied that had not been cleaned and another could ahead of us. Weird… But I let it slide. The waitress finally seated us about 10 minutes later. Cool. She gave us our menus and that was the last we saw of her for about 20 minutes. She was running around and ignoring a lot of tables who were trying to get her attention. There was a table next to us who complained about something(couldn’t hear — a bit noisy) and she turned around, shook her head, rolled her eyes and said«oh my god!» That should have been a red flag right there! Finally she came and asked us for our drink order. Coffee. Simple. Nothing crazy. 15 minutes… No coffee. No greeting. No «sorry. I haven’t forgotten about you.» I brushed it off… Again. She finally came and took our order about 5 minutes later. I ordered a simple breakfast(eggs, bacon, hashbrowns) and my friend ordered an omelette. HERESTHEKICKER!!! An whopping ONEHOURLATER our food arrived and… Ugh. The potatoes were not cooked on mine. And my friends omelette was drenched in cheese(which she asked for none). She had our waitress take it back to have it remade. So rude!!! The waitress just rolled her eyes and started mumbling under her breath and stormed off. My friend, super hungry at this point, was over it. It’s now 1:20PM. Mind you. We got here and were seated at 11AM. Wtf??? We just wanted to leave. We had already waited over and hour and a half. When she returned with the new omelette ITWASRAW!!! We called our waitress back and we told her that we just didn’t want it anymore at this point. The waitress said«fine. Here’s your bill!» And threw it on top of the omelette. WHAT?! What kind of customer service is that. Wrong order, raw food, NO common courtesy. I will never return and will be sure to spread the word.

I rang the bell! My friend and I were looking for a breakfast joint to have a one-last meal together before I hit the road. The Hut is located centrally, close to Fulton Mall(will be difficult to miss it). It was a Sunday morning, place had a few people but we did not have a problem in finding a table. Waitress greeted us and showed the menu. I ordered the Full Breakfast option with Ham and 2 eggs + hash browns and toast. We were starving and noticed food was taking quite sometime to get ready — it wasn’t a big surprise since at the kitchen window there was a sign saying he was a «half-fast cook». Long story short, it was worth the wait. Food was really good and portions are pretty big, you may want to share if you are not so hungry. Was impressed with the country/cowboy themed décor, and the bell at the door inviting people to ring it if they has a good time. Hope you will ring the bell too.
