First things first, Café 1055 is no more, closed about March 2014, replaced by «Zest» at that time. Stopped for breakfast, NOT A BREAKFASTPLACE! This is really just a place for the guests of the Raddison Hotel to eat. Had the breakfast«buffet.» As buffets go this one is VERY limited in choices. Scrambled eggs, bacon, link sausage, potatoes cubes, fruit, cold cereal, and a danish, the whole buffet. Attentive service(no one else in the place) clean and neat, but somehow just sad. I will not return.

Mainly had a few beers, but the Happy Hour is great! They have a nice assortment of complimentary snacks from the kitchen. The food that others were ordering looked good, too!

The food here is pretty delish. I usually order the Chicken Salad Sandwich with fries or the Cobb Salad. The burgers aren’t that bad either. Everything tasted good and the servers are really nice. The only problem I have with this place is the wait time. Even though it’s not really busy(because many people forget it’s there), the cooks take really long to prepare the food. Once I waited over 35 – 40 minutes for my food. It’s hard to enjoy the restaurant and ambience when your stomach is growling. It’s great place for big groups because it’s hardly ever busy BUT if you take a big group, I suggest you order ahead of time and ask them to split the checks in advance.

Located in the Downtown Holiday Inn, Café 1055 has been recently updated with a great menu. The food is excellent, the prices reasonable, and service is very good. If you park underground, please ask for a validation sticker to put on your parking ticket and turn in as you drive out. The fried green tomatoes were excellent, as was the spinach salad and Cobb salad. The Reuben sandwich on marbled rye was served with just the right amount of pastrami. I am hopeful more people will discover this restaurant tucked away in the Holiday Inn, just across the street from the County Courthouse.
