They took the pond out due to the drought, so poor ducks are now swimming in the pool. So sad!

Used to live here for a few years. PROS: The maintenance people are quick and efficient, it’s big pet friendly, it has garages for no extra charge, the location is close to everything(grocery stores, Riverpark, Woodward Park…). CONS: The apartments haven’t been updated since the 70s. The appliances(stove, refrigerator, dish washer, toilets…) are ancient and hardly work. There are OLD hideous cabinets & counter tops. The walls and windows are paper thin. If you have an apartment near the street it’s loud 24⁄7. There is a 24 hour gym but the air conditioner is never on, there are no windows, and there’s no fan, so the gym is practically unusable unless you want heat stroke. There’s no gate around the complex so there’s constantly homeless dumpster divers inside the trash cans. Cars and apartments get broken into regularly. It is not a safe place. My apartment door was being tampered with in the middle of the night, and when you tell the security, they don’t do anything about it. The security is useless. There’s no overhead lighting or fans in the apartments. Some bathrooms don’t have drawers, only an ancient medicine cabinet. The showers are made of plastic. The manager is never in the office, so if you need something, too bad. There duck ponds are dried out, and they keep cutting down trees, so the complex looks tacky. Don’t live here.

Dishonest management and thiefs! Took my deposit after only being there for 1 yr, charged me $ 1,000 for leaving the place better that when I moved in. Dirty, Old, Noisy neighbors, small washer and dryer, dishonest management, they walk in your apartment without notice, new fees every month.

When I lived there(9 years ago), it was quiet and the way each unit is set up, there is privacy with the front doors and balconies. The only thing I didn’t like about it is that when we moved in, they said we had to pay extra for water and garbage and that it would never go up. We noticed that our water portion of the rent kept going up. The office seemed to have a high turnover rate. The rates always jumped up $ 50.00 at the end of every contract. We lived there for a few years and people would come in at lower rates than us, which seemed unfair. There was always a quick response when it came to maintenance. Its just the whole billing with water seemed kind of sketchy.

The good: The townhouse units are beautiful with sunken living rooms and upstairs the bedrooms have angled ceilings. I’ve also got an attached garage. There really is a creek(artificial though it is) running through the complex complete with a family of baby ducklings. The parking is good, the grounds are kept clean, and it’s been really quiet despite some current construction. They let me have my 2 dogs with an extra deposit but no extra monthly rent. People living in the complex I’ve run into have been friendly without being intrusive. The bad: The office has limited hours, so be sure to do any sort of lease stuff(moving in, asking for repairs, deposits) before 6pm on weekdays. The garbage bins are left open — convenient but we get a lot of people going through the trash for recyclables. The washer and dryer are micro sized and ancient so I go to the laundromat anyway because I don’t have all day to do laundry.
