I was craving some banh mi and I happened to be a target which is next door so I decided to buy some. They have specials going which is buy 2 get 1 free. I got the number 1 and number 2 on round breads for a total of $ 7, which is not bad. After waiting for a good 10 mins, I see people ordering, coming, and going and was wondering where my order was! It shouldn’t take long to put 3 sandwiches together. Turns out, they forgot my order :(So after waiting for a few more minutes, I got my order. I ate the grilled pork and thought it was decent but there was just so much bread! The ratio was so off that I had lots of extra bread. The bread is big and very doughy. I would probably go to lees sandwiches instead, even if their bread hurts the roof of my mouth

My favorite place for Banh mi. I like there round baguettes either with cold cut or thit nuong. They always have buy 2 get 1 free for there round Banh mi and for there desserts. Not a fan of there meatball xiu mai sandwich its more like meat pieces instead if meatballs. The bread here is soft yet a bit crunchy I dislike lees sandwich break my teeth bread so this is the perfect texture for me. Not a fan of our some people eat and let the bread crumbs drop every where on the floor there kind of gross if you eat there.

Bought an egg croissant. The bread was stale so, atleast the eggs were freshly made and hot right? Nope, stale like the bread. Not even with $ 3.75

Decent banh mi shop. Fast. Cheap. $ 3.50 a sub. My go-to breakfast sandwich is #13 Pork sandwich with extra egg($.50) and extra meat($.50) Total comes out to ~$ 5. Sometimes the ladies put too much mayo so I’ve been telling them to put just a little. Takes more effort but worth it! Even has tables inside to eat at.

Came by the area and stumbled upon this little shop after some shopping in target a few shops down. Parking is packed so be ready to park a bit far. Menu has a good variety of banh mi and other little snacks. They also have a variety of desserts and drinks to the side in the large refridgerators. At the register they also have a number of prepackaged food. Food is fresh and smells great, but most inportant taste great. Everyone was pleasant upon our visit and inside is really cozy. Definitely will stop by again when I’m in town. I could easily say this place is a lot better than Lee’s sandwiches.

My go-to place for banh mi and Vietnamese coffee. Whenever I am in the neighborhood I stop here to pick up some Vietnamese sandwich. I always ask for the vegetable on the side so that I can distribute the pickled vegetables and jalapeño the way I like it. The reason I like their sandwiches over others is that ratio of meat to bread is just right, the bread has right amount of crunchiness without it being overly hard, and pâté and mayonnaise together has the right amount of sweetness. Combined all together makes one heck of Vietnamese sandwiches. Pretty much consistent every time I order. I usually order a traditional baguette style vs their round sandwich(which I recommend to try at least once). The Vietnamese coffee has the kick without the bitterness that I have tasted from other vendors. Service for even non Vietnamese is fine. They usually have space to sit down and eat though maybe crowded during lunch.

Oh I noticed that I reviewed the wrong location. For this particular location, everything is just okay. Nothing special. I recommend going to the other banh mi Saigon like on magnolia. The other locations are much better.

Good banh mi sandwiches, from either round bread or baguette. A good bread is what makes a sandwich! Always enjoy the grilled pork banh mi!

My best advice is go somewhere else. Never had i ever had such an empty cold grilled pork sandwich. Just take your money and run.

Location: in the same plaza as Target Ambiance: spacious and clean Customer service: hit or miss. You shouldn’t expect a warm welcome or a smile. I come back because the bread here could probably be my favorite if I had to choose. The bread here has a crisp, yet remains soft when the warmth cools as you eat it. Some breads at other certain places can get hard or chewy. Here? Never. I usually get the banh mi thit nuong with egg, pâté, and bo(I know, sounds like a heart attack), BUT delicious and flavorful when you consume it fresh. The only reason why I docked off one star because they don’t have cucumbers in their sandwiches :( $ 3.25 for long or round bread. They have a special for round breads(b2g1 free) Wait: could get lengthy during lunch time on weekends

I love the bread and sandwiches here but the service reeks. My dad and I decided to stop by here to grab some sandwiches and the young girl who took our order was being very rude. She seriously has no manners and is super disrepectful. She took the money out of hand and forcefully gave me my change back and walked away without saying a word. She also yanked the receipt out of my hands when I picked up my order. She definitely needs an attitude adjustment. Get rid of her and the place would be much more pleasant. 2stars for having an ugly attitude at the cashier stand. Sandwiches 4*

I like this place’s banh mi, soft enough yet crunchy enough, perfect texture. There is no question about it. The problem is, three times that I stopped here, three different times, after I ate their banh mi, I went home, and had to run to the bathroom with diarrhea episode. What is it? Do you guys NOT wash you hands? This really pissed me off every single time. There is NO food that is worth having attacks on my stomach, understand? Please wash your hands after you go to bathroom and handle food. It’s not cool. It’s nasty!!! I don’t want to die from eating bacteria from your feces. I don’t want to call the health department on you but one more time and I will. It’s just ridiculous. Every single time, always after I eat from you, always diarrhea problem, am I allergic to your food? NOT! Is your food dirty? YES!!!

Banh mi is so common in the garden grove area. Especially around bolsa. But what I like about this place is that I received a ton of baguettes that were fresh. Based on experiences with other bakery’s, they usually bake their products way ahead of time thus leading to a stale hard bread that scratches the roof of your mouth. Thanks banh mi Saigon for not making my mouth bleed.

Located a couple shops away from Target. This place gets pretty packed! Or else we just came during the rush hour… but we beat the crowd though! Your typical banh mi shop. Menu on the board. Buy 2 get 1 free of the regular banh mi! They have many other packed items you can get, but I’ve only had the banh mi here. What I got: Banh Mi Thit Nuong($ 3): my family got the buy 2 get 1 free banh mi. It’s smaller than other places, but the bread is super crunchy and crumbly. You will definitely be making a mess… comes with grilled pork, pickled daikon and carrot, cilantro, jalapeño, pâté, and mayo. It was super juicy which is different from other places I’ve gotten thit nuong at. I enjoyed it though! Loved the mix of the pâté and mayo. Could have used more of the pickled daikons and carrots and I only got one slice of jalapeño in mine… definitely delicious though! Service: It was pretty quick. Line goes buy pretty fast. They have a couple tables inside for you to sit and eat. Crumbs everywhere though!

This is a pretty good sandwich shop. I can’t complain about the food. The sandwiches are good, but the parking and funny lines suck sometimes. So when you buy sandwiches you need to stand in line like everyone else. But if you have a large order you get to skip the line and go to the front. There are a lot of people who say, what’s the big deal? You should expect rude people with poor manners when going into the Little Saigon area. That kind of thinking does a great disservice to the Vietnamese people. Within one generation of being boat people to becoming great engineers, doctors, lawyers, scientists, etc. and we can’t adopt some good old fashioned manners and follow rules? We expect our children to bow to their elders, listen to their teachers, and be excellent citizens, but the parents cannot be good role models themselves? Oh please, talk is cheap. We must show the younger generation through example, and it all begins with the man in the mirror. Stop making up excuses as to why we can’t. Start thinking big as a winning community and think how we can!

This place is fantastic! Definitely one of the better and cleaner Banh Mi shops in OC. I love the Banh Mi Thit Nguoi(cold cut special). It comes with a good amount of meats, pickled veggies and cilantro. I also like that they use both egg mayo and pâté in their sandwiches. $ 3 bucks a sandwich, 50 cents more for extra meat, round or baguette. Choose round and it’s buy 2 get one free! Location is next to Target! Cash only!

Round bread recommended! My friend raved about this place as a good round bread sandwich shop. I’m not sure if it’s under the same ownership as Saigon’s Bakery in San Gabriel(a local banh mi favorite of mine), but the sandwich menu and round bread appeared to be the same. I tried the grilled pork on round bread for $ 3. The bread tasted fresh with a nice crunchy exterior and soft interior. There was a good amount of pork and veggies inside. It led to a meaty bite each time. I wished there was more mayo in the sandwich though. The sandwich tasted dry. Cash only. 3.5 stars. 4 stars for the bread itself, but 3 stars for the grilled pork sandwich. Not as good as I thought it would be.

My family started going here more often because we want to avoid the crowds of Banh Mi Che Cali that is across the street. And the pricing is pretty similar to BMCC, maybe a few cents more. Parking isn’t too hard but they do share the lot with Target and other businesses. Their baguettes are really yummy. Every time that we have bought it, it is fresh out of the oven so it’s soft and warm inside and crunchy outside. It’s not like Lee’s where it is super hard. Their banh bao are yummy, too. Big and plump and filled with delicious stuffing inside the bao like mushroom, pork, and the quail egg. They have an offer of buy 2 get 1 free so it comes out to about $ 1 each. Fresh and cheap to go foods are sold, too.

Got their egg croissant for breakfast– these are HUGE. The eggs are cooked nicely… it’d be nice if they had an option to include ham or some other meat in there, otherwise, it started to become boring to eat. I would pass on the pâté chaud(little pastries with pork meat inside). They were extra flaky, the meat to pasty ratio was uneven, and frankly, not worth the calories. Iced coffee here is pretty good. I do find myself coming here more out of convenience rather than desire(usually because I am doing a Target run)… so you decide what that means.
