Good food. It’s nice that you can see the cooks making your food. I wish it was bigger and the parking situation was better.

They got my order wrong. I called them and asked for extra garlic sauce for the fact they didn’t give it to me when I paid for it. So I come back to pita inn after coming home anticipating a great meal but… no garlic sauce. I ordered a large garlic sauce. & when I called them back they told me they would give me an extra garlic sauce for my troubles. I get there and they give me 2 small garlic sauce… I ordered the large version for 3 $… Unprofessional. Would not give me the large size or the extra one they promised, except I got two small garlic sauces… Cmon you guys make so much money and your stiffing me? I’ve been loyal To pita inn but after this I cannot even look at this place without disgust.

4⁄5 interior design is pretty old. But cuisine still the best. Price wise the best in whole Chicagoland ! Best authentic middle eastern cuisine to try! Definitely will come again and again!

Pita Inn Makes me feel like I’m back to my Home country with the ethnic middle eastern food, Arabic Music, and the Arabic Art letters. Food is delicious and cheap. The best thing on the menu is the Combination Plate for Lunch it’s 5 $ and you will have plenty leftovers. The chicken is tender, juicy, and flavorful. The Bread Is Fresh, Hot and soft. The Bottom line is if you’re looking for quality middle eastern cuisine with out emptying out your pocket Pita Inn is the way to go.

This place is good! I’m just always going to be a little picky when rating Arabic/Mediterranean food for 2 reasons! First off I’m Arab so my family can cook and it’s hard to compete. Second, I used to live close to Dearborn Michigan which is home to some of the best Arabic/Mediterranean food! I’ve pretty much tasted everything on the menu here. It’s all good. Just not the best of I’ve had. My favorites are the falafel, hummus, lentil soup and the business platter. I love a great sharwama sandwich but this isn’t the place to get it. The sandwich is like just blah. It’s a pita bread with some sharwama meat and a little bit of greens or something at the bottom of the sandwich. Stick with the meat platters that come with rice and salad. It’s just too plain of a sandwich. If you want a good sharwama sandwich try taza bakery. It’s my go to sharwama place. All in all I would definitely recommend this place for good food, affordable prices, and lots of parking! Plus they have a great carry out service!

BEAWARENOTALLFOODREALLYHALAL. I loved this place, great food and service there is not doubt about it; however, for so many years(10 years) they were lying straight to my face. I asked numerous times, is the meat(all kind) Halal. And the answer without hesitation yes. Now I am asking as a middle Eastern Muslim to another middle Eastern manager who knows exactly what I am talking about. Its an understood term, if I ask if a meat is Halal, it means Zabeeha Halal, not that it does not have pork or that it is killed without rushing the blood out(). I accidentally heard someone ask yesterday is all Zabeeha halal, and a staff said no, only the chicken and lamb. So I went to ask the cashier(who is middle eastern) and he could not give a straight answer, then I was given the manager(who is an old differently middle eastern born) where the LIES got even deeper and we went in circles and circles. First he said, EVERYTHINGISHALAL. I asked what is Halal, he said its Halal. I asked what that means insistingly, he said we have zabeeha and Halal, and i asked whats the difference. He said we do not serve pork, suffocated animal’s meat, or dead animal(electrocuted or dead without blood rushing out). I said, we are both coming from middle eastern background(even though he denied that, but then retracted his words as he knows I can tell he is not), and when i asked Halah, you should not deceive me, you know exactly what I mean. He retracted his words and started saying it is all halal, all done the Muslim way(sacrificed with saying Allah name) but done by people that are not Muslim. I said that’s fine with me, but was it sacrificed right, and he started changing his story again. I asked for owner number and he said cannot give it to you. Unprofessional and deceptive. Why not just be honest and front about it, I will not stop coming if he is honest about it. If he is cutting cost by buying non-halal meat, that’s his decision as a business owner, but as a consumer, its my right to be HONESTLY informed about what I am eating. Not sure who you are or what you are trying to accomplish her Mr. John S but in all reality, I’m not sure why you are writing such a negative review and urging people«Syrians» and such to affect this fine establishment. The food served at this restaurant is clean, consistent and healthy. I lost over 100 pounds eating their food consistently over 8 months showing there is no bs fillers or garbage like other restaurants. They are generous in their portions and honest. There are multiple forms of halal, and in the Quran there are a couple interpretations. Just because you may follow a specific way that varies from others, I don’t feel you should bash someone who doesn’t follow your ideologies. Ultimately, this is a clean place that makes good food at a steal of a price. Their chicken fatoosh salad along with their combo plates are awesome. I urge everyone to try this place if they haven’t and I’m definitely a loyal customer and will be forever. Also, their customer service is great and Anas at the front desk is always courteous and makes sure I always have a pleasurable experience. I’ve been coming here since it was a tiny shack in Skokie and I’m happy business is taking off and doing well. God bless.

THEHYPEISALLTRUE. Generous portions, chicken shawarma is perfectly flavored(not too much, not too little), both sauces are bomb, not a long wait even with a big crowd, and the baba ghanoush is fresh. What else? Just come. Too bad I don’t live nearby. I can’t personally attest to consistency, but my bf has been coming for years and swears by it.

I stopped by here to catch up with a friend. Ordering and servicing were quick. You have the choice between a plate, which is a sandwich, rice and a salad, or simply a sandwich. I got a chicken shawarma sandwich. It was a good hearty size. It wasn’t too much, where I’m stuffed; it wasn’t too little where I was starving. I am also a fan of their sauces, a spicy sauce and a yogurt sauce– the perfect mix between hot and cold. Come to this great family restaurant.

For Mediterranean, you just can’t beat the prices and the lunch deal at this chain. The daily business lunch combo is $ 5.99 and looking back one could have fed both the wife and I. We ordered a chicken lunch combo anyway also for $ 5.99 and of course had lunchtime leftovers. This location is not as large and frenetically busy as the remodeled Skokie location, and we actually like the calmer and airy single dining room here better. The parking lot also is not as frenetic. Pita Inn has its niche for us, but if we feel like giving up some quantity for a bit more on quality(particularly the pita bread) we still like Naf Naf for that option.

Great food, fast and fresh. Prices are reasonable! Plenty of seating for a large group. Wish they served pickles with the meals. That would make it perfect! Bring delivery to this location.

Love me some Pita Inn! Get the combination plate for lunch — it’s around $ 5 and you’ll still have left overs for dinner — it comes with all varieties of meat, rice and some veggies(plus a falafel) Otherwise I love getting — lamb sandwich(very flavorful and filling) — generous portion of meat — hummus — mango drink They are always busy and sometimes it’s best to call ahead and order to go. when traffic is busy it’s annoying to take a left into their parking lot because there is no turning pocket!

Great authentic food. Fast service. Reasonable prices. The Lamb Kabob Sandwich and the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich are my favorites. The Baba Ghannoug is so delicious just forget about ordering the small and go straight to the large size. I love this place!

What can I say. This is the first time I checked in on Unilocal, but definitely not the first time I have eaten here. This place has excellent food w/an incredible Business Lunch Special. For $ 5.99($ 6.51 W/tax) you get the Pita Inn — Business Lunch Special Shish kabob Lifts kabob Chicken Tender Falafel Served w/rice & salad In all the years I have been coming here the price has never gone up. They continue to produce the same great quality meal for a great price at all their locations(I think there are 5 now)

Pita Inn is a place I’ve been coming to for years and will continue to do so. Their $ 6 business lunch special is seriously where it’s at. I’m not sure I’ll get anything else! Everything you can ask for on it and more. Deeeelicious. Definitely ask for extra sauces for the best experience. They are always consistent and they are not picky about using card or cash. When dining in, you can leave your dishes as is and they bus it away for you fairly quickly(: Their business lunch special is also available for carry out, which is usually unheard of. But oh so appreciated!

Low priced, freshly prepared Mediterranean fare! Visiting family in the Chicago area and they recommended we stop in here for a quick bite. $ 4.99 for a filling-sized chicken or beef Shawarma sandwich! Also ordered a handful of other appetizers: falafel, grape leaves and Pita with Hummus. The best part is that everything was remarkably fresh tasting and well-made. Pita is fluffy but sturdy, hummus is creamy and tastes perfect, grape leaves moist and tender, and the falafel was so crispy on the outside and warm and cake-like on the inside. The house Tahini and hot sauces are great. Nothing is overly-flavored or salty. The hot mint tea is refreshing with free refills. Ample dining area, cool color changing bubble wall, and clean tables. Definitely keeping this place in mind when we come back next time!

from the outside this place doesn’t look inviting. frankly, it’s pretty rundown looking and the inside is not the best. however, the food more than makes up for the lack of atmosphere(although the music can be a bit too loud). the food is quite tasty and it’s really affordable. the $ 6 lunch option is one of the best middle east options i’ve seen. it’s like a sampler plate and it’s cheap. their«salad» that comes with it can be improved. don’t know why they call it a salad since it doesn’t even have any dressing.

The first time I tried this was actually when my hospital internship ordered party trays. I made it a goal to try it out again, and I did so one year later when it was close to my rotations. One thing on my to-do list– Is there anything like this in Los Angeles?! I love their falafel sandwich and the pita came out warm and soft. I may epitomize the meaning of «foodie», but I ordered both a combination lunch meal and a falafel sandwich(for two meals of course!). Would love to come back again if I ever see myself nearby!
