Love! This is one of my favorite places to get take out in Greenpoint. The jungle burrito and sweet potato burrito are my favorites. Super filling, super delicious. I’m not vegan, but this place is amazing.

They have 20% the buffet. The mushroom tacos were A-MAY-ZING! I’ve had tons of tacos. Not once did I have any with MASHEDPOTATOESANDSPROUTS. Try them, you WONTREGRET it. Two tacos here are super filling.

Colossal dissatisfaction. I ask specific questions such as are the fruits and vegetables for juicing organic, and is the beans from canned or rehydrated. The staff told me yes but her answers had many LIES so I asked to speak with the manager, who was worse and then in turn says she is 6 weeks new. I am not sure what group of vegan the cater for, but thanks for my palate I have identified the been as canned it was very sweet and the green juice looking like cucumber juice With 2 Ounce Of kale, I wonder how many sprigs of kale is that and no one could have tell me, do the actually measure each ingredients. I told the manager therfore it should have listed on the menu.

This place has a fantastic buffet with vegan, vegetarian, gf, df, and soy free options. I could come here everyday. The smoothies are great, baked goods are great, and the ambiance is very homey. Love it here!

The best Vegan restaurant I’ve ever had the pleasure of finding in Brooklyn. I am vegan and suffer from Celiac disease and let just say, I have had my shares of cross contaminations eating out. This restaurant blew my mine for the flavours were electrifying. I ordered the lentil soup and beet burger with gluten-free bun … OMG… AMAZING! I am definitely coming back.

My First ever Vegan style buffet restaurant. Great thing as a non-vegan was I didn’t have to wait or wonder how he food would look or taste. I saw smelled & was in love with it all. And best of all did not look at all like a salad bar. My Girlfriend was surprised that I grab a lil of everything as it all looked great. My favorite thing is the Mexican Lasagna & the Vegan Steak Stir Fry(I refuse to believe it’s not steak!) I’m going to take some to go as they do take out too

I’m a carnivore. I love red meat, chicken and pork belly. My vegan friend told me about this Millet beet burger and said it was amazing. Do I trust vegans usually? No. But I trust my friend. So I went in. Cute and unassuming little joint. Friendly staff and very child friendly which are huge pluses. I ordered my millet beet burger and I was amazed at how flavorful and tender it was! The sauce, the greens, the bun were all fantastic. Plenty of juice options too which. Had the mint pineapple cucumber celery and it tastes fresh and healthy.

You know that a restaurant deserves a five star rating when you tell half a dozen different people how much you enjoyed it within 24 hours of eating there and that was definitely the case lat weekend. I was very happy to find a nearby place that not only exclusively offered vegan food, but added ethic twists to it buffet style fare. I can’t wait to go back.

So far the best vegetarian restaurant I’ve been in ! Awesome atmosphere(colorful but cozy; kitchen smells all over the place), tasty buffet options(I have only been there twice, couple of options changed, too). Sauces are unique and good to bring me back(even though I’m cheap and prefer to cook by myself) There’s only two flaws : — it’s only 99% vegetarian(why not throw out that leftover of milk options? Go vegan, yo — lack of ayahuasca shakes/cocktails

Having a full vegetarian buffet is like a gift from God him self! Being a vegetarian having to go to a buffet feels like I’m wasting money because usually everything is meat or meat based. Jungle café offers a full vegetarian buffet with many options. Everything they offer is healthy! Amazing salads, delicious rice/quinoa dishes. The«meat» is really close to in taste as real meat so someone who isn’t vegetarian can enjoy as well. This spot is in my top 5 vegetarian restaurants!

Incredible beet burger packed with flavor. The coconut vegetable soup was also very good. I’m a meat eater but this place made me forget all about the meat. I guess if the veggies are seasoned right I could do this. Wonder if there’s another great spot like this place.

Amazing food. The weekend all-you-can-eat buffet is awesome, you can eat all kinds of stuff that would be much more expensive during the week. I’m a huge fan of the macro bowl and veggie tacos.

After a long spell of junky eating over the holidays and some concomitant weight gain, my body was pleading for more healthful meals. A Unilocal search brought us to Greenpoint and the doorstep of Jungle Café. You have two choices when you walk in — load up your plate from the fully vegetarian buffet bar and pay per pound or order from the menu. I opted for the latter and sprang for the Jungle Burrito, which came with a side of salad or soup. When you hear ‘soup side,’ you’re likely to imagine a diminutive cup of sad, watery soup like those offered at common diners, but that’s certainly not the case here. Instead, this was a deep bowl of steaming Egyptian lentil soup(or corn chowder if you’d prefer) that could have easily made an entrée on its own. A thick mirepoix formed the vegetal backbone for the saporific lentil-based soup, which was then half blended to produce a hearty ‘side’. Soon after, the main part of my meal arrived, looking every bit like a behemoth of a burrito. Rice, seitan, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, vegan cheese, and lettuce are rolled into a flour tortilla, along with freshly made guacamole and a silken tofu-based sour cream. Though already half full from the soup, I found myself happily masticating my way through most of the burrito because when food is that good, you MAKE room. My husband allowed me bites from his plated compilation of a meal from the buffet bar and I found everything pretty scrumptious with the single exception of a vegan wheat gluten take on a turkey meatball. With a squishy texture and severe faux meat aftertaste, it fell rather flat. A brightly lit atmosphere with fun murals and warm, rustic accents like long wooden picnic tables, Jungle Café is a haven of a dining space with a cozy, coffeehouse-like feel. Several diners around us were obviously lingering and conversing long after a meal, but the calm and mellow environment seemed to invite diners to drop their voices to low murmurs and whispers. While the buffet ended up being on the slightly pricier side, I felt that my meal had strong cost-per-amount value. Don’t let the vegetarian label deter you. The kitchen exercises some firm knowhow around taste and flavor that everyone — from vegans to carnivores — can certainly appreciate.

I do get nervous about restaurants that contain elements of sit-down and quick-serve but I know more what to expect for the second visit. By visiting, I answered one unsolved mystery about whether the buffet is brunch-only, since it was there yesterday at dinner-time(but I just missed weekday happy hour, which would have been a 20% discount on the $ 9.99 per pound price.) Greg P. answered another unsolved mystery by explaining that they have«themed» food daily. I was wondering why the buffet yesterday was Mexican. The most notable item was a cactus salad that had a ceviche-type flavoring. The vegan enchiladas won’t make you give up the real thing but it was a solid effort. The hibiscus iced tea was excellent.

Nom. We were feeling inspired and stopped into Jungle café for some vegan cuisine on a weekday night. It is very chill and relaxed in there, with plenty of people dropping in for the buffet, take out, or sitting down. I was happy about this. My husband ordered the healthy quinoa bowl and was blown away by the size and flavor given its on the healthier side. They did a great job of chopping up all the ingredients so that you could get a good mix out of each bite. I know this sounds silly, but it’s one of my pet peeves!!! I had the beet burger on Ezekiel bread and am glad I did. I thought the patty was a tiny bit too crunchy but still had a lot of flavor and was served to order. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and finished feeling satisfied and as though we got a good deal. Huge plus for having live music performing during our meal! And on a weeknight! We got more than we expected at Jungle Café and will definitely be back!

Jungle Café got it right! It is a healthy buffet where you pay by the weight. The food is delicious, well prepared and mostly organic. I filled my plate with sprouts, kale, beet salad, cabbage, couscous, tempeh salad, curry and rice. Perfect lunch! The ambiance is open and clean with five large tables that prompting a bit of a community feeling. I appreciate the white cloth napkins as well. Love this place. Oh, and its reasonably priced. I am hoping they will open one in East Williamsburg/Bushwick so I can enjoy more often. Oh and reasonable priced.

Finally got a chance to go here, and I’m glad I did. I’ve walked past this restaurant so many times on my trips from my house to LIC. Vegan/vegetarian food has been appealing to me, and I’m glad to have found another place that does it right. There is a lunch buffet every day of the week, but my friend and I decided to order set meals off the daily menu. I got the burrito, and my friend the grilled veggie sandwich. Soup came with our lunches, and we both chose the Indian tomato soup. The soup was very good and satisfying. My burrito had vegan cheese, black beans, seitan, lettuce, tomato, vegan sour cream, and guacamole inside of it. Dollops of vegan sour cream and guacamole came on the side. No meat or «real» dairy needed! The Jungle Café is a great place for lunch, with tasty food and sweet owners.

This place is absolutely great! We love it! The food is delicious! The service is great! The price is also great! We like the décor in this place. It feels like you’re at home living somewhere in the island. We were here on a Monday evening. The buffet is $ 9.99 lb. If you come between 4−6pm, it’s happy hour, 20% off. We’re not vegan but we just love everything on the buffet. They’re so colorful & flavorful. There is an all you can eat buffet brunch on Saturday & Sunday. Wish this place is not so far from our place… We’ll definitely go back! Highly recommended even if you’re not a vegan!

I really like this place. I wish I lived closer, I’d definitely be a regular. I came here takeout dinner and the Sunday all you can eat brunch buffet! The takeout dinner was smooth — my order came fairly quick and the food was served in compostable containers — win! I order the tempeh Reuben on gf bread. They aren’t completely vegan — they serve real cheese. When the server asked if I wanted real cheese it took me a minute to figure out what she meant lol. The desserts are also really good — they have tons of gluten free options. If you’re going to come here, you have to come for the brunch buffet. I appreciate that everything is labeled and the ingredients are listed. They have plenty of raw options as well as gluten free. Just a heads up, they have communal styles setting which could be great for groups but hard to get an entire table, especially for brunch. I
