Great truck with the guys who are friendly and quick with getting your meal ready. Favorite is pork shoulder noodles!

I love food trucks. They’re just fun. That’s not to say the food is always great, but finding out is part of the adventure. With The Great Escape, the adventure is the nice flavor profiles of the food. I’m very impressed with the quality of their fare coming out of a truck rather than a brick and mortar kitchen. When you see these guys, definitely give them a try. It takes the uncertainty out of the adventure.

I got to try The Great Escape food truck while at a food truck festival in Jamestown NC. The stir fry noodles with 5 spice chicken was amazing! I placed my order, and after waiting only a few minutes, I was ready to dive into my dish! The noodles were delicious, and the chicken was juicy and full of flavor! Y’all need to try this!

Food is well seasoned and awesome. Just wait 10 minutes and you have food that tastes better than that at a brick and mortar. I love the noodles with chicken.

This was my first experience with a food truck and I can’t wait to try another! We got the noodles with the pork and one order with tofu. The pork was our favorite and I want to try the 5 spice chicken noodles and sweet crepes next time. Be sure to visit this truck the next time they are in your area. It is really good, fresh food prepared with quality ingredients.

Delicious. Amazing. Crazy good. What else can I say… Terrific, delectable, interesting and fun. The pork shoulder noodles with black sesame was wonderful, sweet potato crêpe with ginger was interesting and memorable, not to mention really delicious. Best food truck I’ve been to, the kind of place I’ll cancel my dinner plans if I see this truck on my way home so I can eat here.

Jerry and I tried The Great Escape food truck on Saturday when they were at the Grand Opening of the Brewer’s Kettle in Kernersville. We started off with two savory appetizer crepes. Our first was the Braised Citrus Oregano Chicken served with chopped Artichoke Hearts & crumbled Feta Cheese. Fresh herbs in a dish add so much flavor, and the oregano was absolutely the standout partner alongside the chilled, tender chicken. The Antipasto savory crêpe caught our eye. Rolled like a «Parisian» burrito, it had San Giuseppe Milano Salami along with Black Forest Ham, Imported Provolone Cheese, and a creamy bright Red Pepper Coulis. For our entrée, we tried the chef’s recommendation and shared an order of Stir-fried Rice Noodles with Gochujang Roasted Pork Shoulder. Gochujang is a brick-red Korean condiment rich with spicy, umami flavor. It gets its complex spicy-savory-salty flavor from red chilies, glutinous rice, fermented soybeans, salt, and sometimes sweeteners. Could this be what won them the Yes! Weekly’s 2013 Triad’s Best Food Truck Award? Sprinkled with fresh herbs and a wedge of lime, the piping hot noodles were tossed with stir-fried cabbage, white & black sesame seeds, bits of bean sprouts, red pepper flakes, and tons of fall-apart, fork-tender, lean pork that had been seasoned with the impressive Gochujang sauce. We finished our visit with a sweet crêpe that had Dark Chocolate Ganache, Candied Pecans, Dried Apricots, and a Citrus Infused NC Orange Blossom Honey. A dense, thick layer of crazy, rich chocolate had been mixed with generous amounts of course chopped nuts and fruit with NC honey drizzled over the crêpe.
