Geneo’s Pizza

Called for a delivery on May 28^th at 10:15 p.m. and the man was very, very rude. When I say rude, I really mean RUDE.,.I really don’t care if the pizza is good or not, I will never order there again. I’m spending my money and this is unacceptable and will pass the word on. The owner needs to teach his employees how to talk to costumers.

Great local pizza just a few blocks from me, I remember when I was little I would go for a free Slice on halloween, since then it’s been my favorite nearest pizza

Guy who took my order was very rude & disrespectful. When I said I don’t want to order from there he said «good .» I’ve been to other location in city & was looking forward to trying this, but couldn’t tolerate his bad attitude. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL. I went elsewhere.

I want to share my excellent experience with Geneo’s. My wife had set up for Geneo’s to deliver pizza to our hotel in Homewood for some late night food for our guests after our wedding. After our scheduled delivery time had passed and we hadn’t received our pizza, we received a call from the owner. He explained the reason for the delay (their driver was involved in a car accident). He offered a sincere apology and stated that if we could hang on for a bit longer he would personally deliver our food. We really appreciated his effort to ensure we received our order.
Now to take this to the next level, when we returned home from our honeymoon there was a hand written letter in the mail from the owner Paul congratulating my wife and I on our marriage. What a nice gesture. We really appreciated it.
Thank you for a great experience. Oh, and forgot to mention THE PIZZA WAS EXCELLENT.

The person who took my order rude… unprofessional, if you can get past the attitude you’ll enjoy some good pizza.

Awful attitude. When asked, me: what kind of toppings do you have? Him: Well I have 20 different toppings so I’m sure I have what your asking for. Me: Do you have kale? Him: what pizza place has that?! Me: my point exactly! I had to desist from ordering because he’s quite unprofessional.

We used to get our pizza from this place when I lived in the area. Got an opportunity to go back there this weekend. The pizza is still as good. The guy behind the counter has been there for quite a while. Everything is still the same, but they do turn out an excellent pizza. I don’t remember the menu being as diverse when I was there previously, but it has a lot of non-​pizza stuff, like beef, perch, maybe even ribs. Not sure. I would definitely go back.

Just had a pizza delivered to my home. and all I can say is PAUL P you are still doing the damn thang like you did over 20 years ago when I last ordered from you all. I got the sausage, pepperoni, and bacon family size… FYE AS HELL. Love the thin crust and just enough toppings. In my opinion, better than the «we lay it on thick» chain. Glad I moved back to Harvey and this will be my only go to pizza joint. Can you say CUSTOMER FOR LIFE” Thanks for maintaining the same recipe.

The service was good-​they were friendly both on the phone and when I picked up my pizza. The price was reasonable– $ 15 for a medium with 2 toppings. However, the pizza was no more than average for me. I’ve driven past this place so many times and always wondered about it. The pizza was just ok– there was nothing about it that would make me want to go back. I would have been just as happy with Pizza Hut.

The pizza is great. The prices aren’t bad for the portions of food. Best onion rings and fries I’ve had from the places in harvey.

Geneos is definitely my favorite pizza by far! We always get the family size, which is a great deal. And if you’re like me, ask for extra crispy! The guys there will leave it in the oven a little longer for you. Perfect every time!

You can’t throw a stone on the South Side without hitting a good, traditional thin-​crust pizza place. This is important because when you take one whiff of their pizza, you’ll want to get back home as soon as possible to taste it.
But if you do arrive early or otherwise need to sit down, you’ll have a front row seat to the heart of a real neighborhood pizza joint. A grizzled veteran of the business rolls out his crust before applying a layer of savory, flavorful sauce, fresh vegetables, perfectly-​seasoned meat, and real mozzarella cheese. This all goes into a scorching-​hot old style pizza oven and it’s on to the next one like clockwork – beautiful, delicious clockwork. The manager greets incoming customers and takes phone orders while dedicated delivery drivers come in and out to serve Harvey and the surrounding suburbs. All together you will see the amazing things that can come from a small staff dedicated only to great food and friendly service.
Don’t let the emphasis on thinness fool you. A pizza from Geneo’s offers everything you want from your pie without the heavy or prematurely-​full feeling. They don’t skimp on the toppings but the crispy, never-​doughy crust stays resilient, providing the satisfying crunch you want in a Chicago-​style thin-​crust every time.
Geneo’s is conveniently located mere minutes from the Tri-​State Tollway so there is no excuse for pizza-​lovers from the South Suburbs to miss out. And with reasonable prices along with a dedication to tradition, you will want to make this a regular spot immediately after your first bite.
