Wow this place, words can’t describe how bad this place is, food was cold, waitress ask if we are going to eat the extra tortillas because they are running short. Then I ask for a beer and they said they are out of beer, REALLY come on now

I must preface this review by saying we are not the typical demographic of customers for this business. The only reason we came here was because it was across the street from where we were shopping and we were dead tired. I normally would NEVER go to a place like this. You could tell that everyone was having a good time! For the right customer this place is perfect! However for us as business owners, this place is a disaster. For us; 1) extremely loud and annoying 2) too many kids… Loud 3) very dirty… Several tables unclean 4) manager with huge goatee is worthless to the customers and his staff… he just stands around and does nothing 5) we ordered table side guacamole that was brought same time as food. That’s not supposed to happen! There should be a time delay between the two 6) the helper who brought out the food slammed the plate of food in front of my wife with the plate shoved into her chest hanging halfway over table’s edge 7) my guacamole tasted like a bottle of salt. Waitress said she would remake it for us. That never happened Again for the average person who has no expectations this place is perfect. For us due to our own personal level of expectations for how we run«our own» businesses, I would shoot somebody if this was my restaurant! But that’s just us. We wish all of the customers and staff members here the best. Wonderful people!!! All the way around. Just not our style

I am not sure why this establishment is not highly rated! I always have liked Chevy’s. Reasons are they offer wide choice of vegetarian options, delicious food and good customer service. The colorful walls and wall arts add spunk tin the air. Additionally it is kids friendly place. They give kids tortilla dough to play with:). They serve fresh tortillas and not the store bought. The tortillas machine is one attraction around dining area. They also offer complimentary salsa and chips. Though, lately I am bit disappointed with their quality of chips. They are uncooked and highly oily. Gear up guys where are your hot but not so oily chips? Get them back please. Here is my rating — Food taste 4.35÷5 * Service 4/5* Ambiance 4.5/5*. Promptness 4.5/5* Price 4/5* Margaritas 4.5/5* & Watermelon margarita :) 5/5* The dishes that stands out for me are — Farmers Market Quesadillas. It has tonnes of veggies filling and not just sauted bell peppers and onions mostly found elsewhere. Lets talk about seasonal veggie fajitas. I end up ordering this every time. The presentation is excellent and pleasing. You get your portion of veggies(served on hot tray), rice, beans, warm tortillas, sweet mashed corn on the side. They have seasonal specials too. If you are looking for Tex-Mex food this is the right place. I will be visiting them again when I want to eat light Mexican food.

I was surprised and delighted by our experience on Christmas eve. First of all, did not expect them to be open, much less slammed. But, the line was out the door. Since I was hosting 2 meals on Christmas Day, and had to run to Target in a panic to buy butter, and I had to work that day, dinner out with the family was a must. I was so impressed with the customer service. I saw at least two managers, there were multiple people taking names and manning the door, and the hostess I encountered came to find me when our table was ready. Service at the table was very very slow, but it was to be expected considering that every table was packed with big parties and there was a line out of the door. Our food was good when it came, and our waiter was cheerful. Thank you for being open and thank you for the great attitudes!

We ordered our food online to go. I added a fountain drink to my order for $ 2.99. When I got to the restaurant the order was not ready I had to wait which is fine but then he forgot my drink so I asked him to get it. He seemed put out when he was the one that didn’t have it correct. He comes back with a can of Coke! I said no I ordered a fountain drink and he said this is how we do to go drinks. So I told him to take it off my check because I was not paying $ 2.99 for a can of Coke. He got a manager and I explained it again to him and the manager said«well I’d have to go way out of my way to do a refund since you ordered online». So I said«well I guess your going to have to do that then because paying that much for a can of Coke was asinine». And then kept having an attitude with me. And on top of that our food was wrong and cold! I’m so disappointed in this experience. Horrible customer service on so many levels.

I’m not sure why this place has so many low reviews. I’ve eaten here three times in the last six weeks and always had good food and service. I am a vegetarian and I have been impressed with the vegetarian options. My favorite it the veggie fajitas. They are very good. There is a lot of food for the price and everything tasted very fresh. They have Dos Equis on draft, what more could you ask for! They do a twist on salsa, but I like it. I was not crazy about their version of cheese dip.

We went here for dinner on Monday night 11÷30÷15. My husband and I enjoyed the guacamole, but everything else was blah. I got severely sick from their pork tamales a couple of hours later. Maybe other customers on this day got sick too?

I’ll say at the start that service at this Chevys was 5 stars! I haven’t had this quality of service in some time. Our server was attentive and friendly without being intrusive(you know the type). Unfortunately the food was not enough to bump this to a 4-star. The table-made guacamole was the highlight of the meal and should not be missed. My father ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas. They looked and smelled delicious. I will try that next time and update my rating accordingly. Sadly my enchiladas were lukewarm and the taste, one-note. I ordered a margarita and I’m still thinking it was non-alcoholic, it was that weak. Satisfied with the experience primarily because of the outstanding service.

We read the previous reviews and figured we’d give it a shot since it’s so close to us, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was great, the margarita packed just the right punch, and our server was pretty cool. The SO and went through at least three baskets of chips and I had the fajita burrito with pork which was extremely good, so much food though I had breakfast for the next day. I’d say that’s doing pretty good for a chain restaurant.

Not quite what I was expecting, nothing close to Mexican food and certainly not fresh. Salsa was bland, and the shrimp and crab enchiladas were less than I expected. Service was efficient but not friendly. First and last time for me!

The food isn’t bad, it is not as good as an Amelias, but for a chain, it is what is expected. The drinks are good. However, EVERYTIME we go there, the staff messes up our order. My husband can’t have rice and orders his meal with no rice, extra beans, so does my daughter. Every time, I get all beans no rice and they get rice. My husband asks for hotter sauce, it takes forever for it to come. Now sometimes, the manager brings it, but often, the waiter or waitress will say«we don’t have anything hotter.» Hmmmm… This is not to mention the number of times we have waited over an hour for seating while booths sat empty and servers chatted with one another in front of us. All in all, not a great experience, which is why I seldom go there anymore :(I keep hoping it will improve and pop in once in a while, but it hasn’t.

This place for years was the go to place for my wife and I. Over the years it has not changed. The food is old, the place looks tired and needs a lot of work. Last night my wife and I chose to go here for a happy hour as we were hungry and yet reluctant to go we chose not to listen to our instincts. I was expecting a happy hour to be pack but there was only one table with only one customer during the whole time we were there. The bartender was also our server was also making busy making drinks for the restaurant some things came up to us a little later as we watched it sit on the side and it was unfortunate that the other servers continued to walk by it and not bring it to us. The restaurant has only two tables the rest of the place was empty. I think my day at Chevys is over. The happy hour is a sad plate of appetizers, the prices are still too high and everything is fried they need to really pay attention to what the customers are eating now and make their dishes more authentic and healthy.

Went for a birthday party. Staff was great, atmosphere was great. Food… not so much. The chips had a strange almost grainy texture and were so thin you can barely scoop salsa without them breaking. I had the mesquite grilled tacos — steak — with black beans instead of refried. We also ordered a side of guacamole. The guacamole was«okay» a little too heavy on the lime and not enough bite. The tacos were«okay» but at $ 12.99 they should have been AMAZING. There was very little meat in the tacos — mostly just filler greens. The meat itself was good, but there wasn’t enough of it to justify the price. There were only 5 or 6 tiny pieces in each one. And by tiny I mean about ¼″ cubed. The creamed corn goo that came with it(a perfect ice cream scoop of goo) was completely unappetizing. The rice was undercooked(or stale…) a little on the cold side(on a SUPERHOT plate) and tasted like it came out of a box. The color rivaled that of a commercial red velvet cake! It was completely unappetizing and beyond bland. The beans(I subbed black beans for the refried beans) were COLD and tasted like they had just come out of a can. They looked it too. The rest of the party had a similar experience. VERY disappointing.

Underwhelming experience. Will not return. Pros: Prices of food were as expected. About $eleven per entrée. Cons: No drink or happy hour specials unless in the ‘bar area’. If you just get a regular table even during happy hour: full price, no exceptions. Ordered a beer. 5 mins later, we’re out. Ordered a different beer. 5 mins later, wrong beer comes. Wasn’t worth sending it back. Can’t believe that I’m saying this, but the waitress stopped by our table TOO much. Very hard to carry a conversation when getting interrupted every 5 – 7 minutes and have to acknowledge and respond to the waitress for her to leave. Didn’t pick up on social cues. The food was just meh. The rice was good. My carnitas(pork) enchilada was meh. The pork was really fatty and was kind of gross. The refried beans felt more like baked beans and even had big meat chunks in them. An unwelcomed surprise. My guest called it ‘The Applebee’s of Mexican food’. I don’t know if that’s entirely fair, but it was a disappointing experience.

The food is still terrible, but somehow I got addicted to their Queso, it is good, however since I normally order via Delivered Dish, the amount they give you for six bucks is pathetic. They have also recently changed the shell on their taco’s. My husband likes the Piccadillo Beef Hard Shell Taco and it looks more like a store bought taco shell the last two times. The Crispy Chicken Flautas Appetizer changes almost every time I get it. It is never crisp any more and I probably will stop bothering to order it. A pound of chips and a pint of salsa is now up to 10 bucks, it used to be 6 a few years ago. I have NO idea how this place stays in business. I think this mostly a place soccer mom’s can get their Margarita on and bs with their girlfriends. Their website seems to be non existent so maybe they are on their way out… I have also noticed the«Manager» comments on almost all the reviews and they are canned responses. Either we hope to host you again or check your inbox, which they use to try to give you a gift certificate to come back and buy a better review.

Going to try Chevy’s ONEMORETIME, only because I dig their chip and salsa and their servers are way good lately. Tried happy hour and had a lot of decent group for under $ 7 a piece.

It has been years since I’ve been to a Chevy’s and I had a sudden craving at 5pm last Saturday for their chips and salsa. Luckily, they have happy hour every day until 7pm so we grabbed a small table in the cantina. I ordered a grande mango margarita on the rocks($ 7), chicken fajita nachos, and fresh made guac. My better half had the pork enchiladas. We were both pleasantly surprised at how tasty everything was. We also had great service on this trip and enjoyed the fun mix of music they were playing.

Two of the stars belong to Cliff our server. We ate here back in December — the 19th2014. Food was very good — surf and turf, and a three item combo. What makes this visit outstanding was the extraordinary service from our server — so good, in fact, we called for the manager and insisted Cliff be there while we told him how good he was. He’s a gem — I hope he’s being compensated for the quality of service he provides.

We were tired and hungry and it was 9 pm on a Friday night but I should have known better than to visit a restaurant without checking the reviews on Unilocal.Yikes! I guess we should consider ourselves lucky we didn’t end up with food poisoning like other recent reviews, but the experience wasn’t all that pleasant for us either. When we arrived at Chevys we were greeted and promptly taken to a table by the cheerful hostess. She announced she could find us a window table, which, since there were only about a dozen diners in the whole place wasn’t that much of a challenge but I did find it a bit strange that she seated us at the far end, many tables away from others. On one hand, I hate it when they seat you back to back with other diners when the restaurant is half empty, but on the other hand it does make you wonder if you have no coolness factor and are being hidden away. What’s up with that? Do we have BO? Spinach in our teeth? Ten minutes later we were still sitting there. No water, no chips, no nothing. The waitress walked by without a glance. Now my usual preference in this kind of situation is to get up and walk out but my buddy took the bull by the horns and walked up to the manager hanging out by the entrance and words were exchanged. Apparently the hostess was new and we were seated in a part of the restaurant where there were no servers. From that moment on, there were profuse apologies all around and great service and the manager checked up on us twice. But seriously? I ordered the fajita burrito and my friend a taco salad and the food came promptly. When I bit into my fajita it was okay… less of a fajita and more of a burrito and there was a crunchy element that I didn’t expect. The more I ate the more I realized that the crunchy element was the chicken. It almost tasted like eating gristle… dry and crunchy. Imagine eating chicken that has been sitting out for an hour under a hot lamp… dried up and hard around the edges. There’s no way my chicken was freshly cooked. My friend mentioned that the chicken in her salad tasted dried up as well. Blech. I now deem them… Chevys NOTSOFRESH Mex. For a twelve dollar entrée plate I deserved much better… and frankly we could have had fresher food at Taco Bell. I now pledge to read Unilocal reviews FIRST.

If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. I’ve been coming to this Chevys FOREVER. And by forever I mean at a minimum the last 10 years? Usually really good customer service, decent food, and a good time spent with friends or family. I would normally rate this place 5 stars, because we love it. I went to dinner with family this last Saturday, we had about 8 people with us and the first thing we hear is «did you make reservations?» Now I have gone back and forth with this location over the last 3 years on whether reservations are needed or not. Some days they tell me yes, other days they tell me they don’t take them. There’s never consistency, but it’s never a huge deal because we only have a «large» group a few times a year. So the answer, no, no reservations. We’re seated, our orders are taken pretty quickly and food comes out a while later. Not super quick, but decent timing for a Saturday night. We get the busy times, totally understandable that a dinner on a weekend might take a little longer, especially with a larger group. We all orders various things from tacos to salads, enchiladas, fajitas and burritos. We paid and left. 24 hours later we’re all puking our brains out. We call Chevys to report that we think we may have received food poisoning from them(as it’s the only thing we had all shared over the last several weeks) and they tell us we are the ONLY ones who have reported this, therefore it was not Chevys, it had to be something else we did. Really? No– we’ll look into this, or we haven’t heard anything but we appreciate you letting us know– NOTHING. I tried to reach out to Chevys customer service through several forms of communication with no response. After being super ill for nearly 2 days we all finally are feeling a bit better and decide to call the local county health department to have it documented and suddenly we find out we are not the only ones– and that another large group that had a Christmas party there had complained just prior to us. So now there are many of us that have been ill, no response from Chevys ATALL about this experience, no apology, no offer of a refund, absolutely nothing. Very disappointing for many reasons. Shame on you Chevy’s, I really thought better of this company until now.
