Was disappointed. I got the Chicken Broccoli and ended up with a plate of practically all carrot and cucumber with very little chicken and very little brocolli. I let them know it kind of seemed like a misleading menu choice to which they didn’t care. So I ate my meal and will not return to this establishment.

Spendier than your typical teriyaki place.

I love their teriyaki chicken and yakisoba! Soooo good! They could update the dining area but the food is so delicious.

This is a typical Teriyaki place in Portland. Nothing fancy, definitely no frills. Service was good and prompt. I went for my usual Chicken Teriyaki with Pot stickers combo that I get at other Teriyaki places. The chicken was really dry, felt like I was in the Christmas Vacation turkey eating scene. I do not know about their other foods, but the chicken was not something I would ever get there again. If you go, try something else from the menu. The Pot Stickers and salad were good.

I give this place only 3 stars based on 2 issues. 1) The food is fine if you need a quick teriyaki fix but it’s fairly bland. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and wasn’t overly impressed. It’s decent but far from great. 2) The cleanliness of the place. When I walked in I was like«not that bad» but when I took a seat and started to look around I started to see the place is in need of a makeover and replace some of the seats. Tables were not very clean and there was sticky stuff on my chair. I’m guessing it was teriyaki sauce. Won’t be coming back anytime soon. Too many other good spots for the same amount of $.

This place is a straightforward teriyaki place, no frills. The dishes were satisfying and the portions were perfect to satiate a furious hunger. I ordered the spicy chicken and kung pao chicken in the following visit. Both tasted almost the same although tasty. The miso soup that is complimentary is really a great gesture and also equally delicious.

Yum! I’ve driven by this place countless times and I wish I’d stopped by for lunch sooner. I tried Combo 1, since it seemed like as good of a choice as any with which to start, and was really pleased. The meat/sauce/rice combo was wonderful, the pot stickers were perfect, and the salad, of all things, was a really pleasant surprise. Something about the dressing… I don’t know, it was just good. I recommend dining in so you can take advantage of the free Miso — which was perfectly acceptable — and have easy access to the pot sticker sauce and teriyaki sauces that are available at each table. The portion size was great for the price. The combo for lunch was *almost* too much food, but my plate ended up being empty before I left.

So I walked in to order the floor was a mess and the walls were dirty but I had read so many great reviews on the food so I was ignoring this first impression. When I finally got my food the chicken was crunchy on the ends and the potstickers are also crunchy I will not be going back I was not impressed at all.

You get a lot of food for the price. I had the combo 1 which comes with teriyaki chicken and pork, 3 pot stickers, two scoops of rice and a small salad. Best bang for buck!

Decent enough. i tried kung-pao, it was not like your regular kungpao, but wasnt bad either, got salad along with it — So that would compensate the kung pao not being okay i guess

worse teriyaki I had in the area. The salad is basically just big lettuce pieces and nothing else. The sauces are not teriyaki and the meat was in a small portion compared to other teriyaki restaurants.

Ordered a T2 the salad was good and the teriyaki sauce was yummy. The chicken was so dry that I had to smother it in sauce to eat it. We were trying to decided between this or sushi, regretfully should have picked sushi. Also these are not one $ prices more like 2. Workers are nice.

The first thing I noticed upon entering the establishment were 4 slabs of previously grilled chicken breast pieces just sitting on the cold grill. Should have walked out right then, but here I am writing this review. The chicken in the Yakisoba I ordered was presumably one of those being ‘dried’ on the grill. It was hard, chewy, rubbery, and tasteless! How hard is it to cook chicken along with the noodles? It wasn’t even crowded.

Decent food with large amount for a relatively less price. Loved the free Miso soup when we went for dinner. We ordered Hot and spicy Chicken which was filling and good and came in very less time. Highly recommended if you are looking for some good place to have a quick lunch or dinner.

Not exactly proper Japanese food but it’s decent and the lady running the show is super nice. We got a bunch of stuff and I’d say the highlight was the short ribs. The gyoza was deep fried though which always makes me sad and the salad was iceberg with a mayo type dressing on the top, not my fav. But it’s pretty quick and nothing was bad, but I wouldn’t come here expecting a proper bento meal. On the other hand they also have chinese dishes which might be better.

Overall very tasty lunch. Wish they had some lunch specials but that’s ok since some places simply give you less of a portion for the special price. Today I tried the combo #1. That’s the teriyaki chicken and pork with 3 potstickers. Normally you’d get 2 scoops of rice but I asked for more veggies less rice. No problem nor charge to change it. The veggies are a basic salad; lettuce with pieces of red cabbage and carrots. There was a mild creamy dressing on top. Couldn’t really describe it but was good. Portion was way more than I could eat. However the line was pretty long to simply get a container so I ate what I could. Happy and very full.

On a late work night I needed to pick up dinner on the way home. My family was ready for dinner(I could hear Princess in the background on the phone going«HUUUUUUNNNNNNGRRRRRRYY») and I had no time to spare. I stopped in here for some teriyaki. Now, we love Du’s, so we’re finicky about this stuff. The little family run Rock Creek place we usually frequent was closed by now. What did I think? The place is small, maybe 12 tables, mostly two tops, you order at the counter and they give you a number. The guy at the counter was friendly enough. He was busy bussing tables and taking phone orders. Lots of people apparently call ahead, which I will do next time. I was a little perturbed that he was running people’s plates out to them in between wiping tables with a wet rag(I don’t know if he washed his hands between, he kept disappearing into the back of the kitchen… I’m going to let myself believe he was washing his hands). The guys at the grill were chattering away in Spanish, but working hard to get the food out. I waited maybe ten minutes at the most. They have free miso soup in a crock near the counter if you’re eating in. They have quite a range of teriyaki(shrimp, chicken, pork, and beef, also tofu) and they have some dishes like kung pao and General Tso chicken. They also have brown rice for an additional fee. There are helpful pictures on the windows as you come in. I took home hubby’s pork yakisoba, teriyaki tofu for the Princess, and a combo for me with potstickers, chicken, pork, and rice. Teriyaki plates come with a small iceberg salad which was fresh with a slightly sweet mayo-y dressing. Hubby’s yakisoba came with rice. Grand total for all this? $ 23. Everything was liked, the chicken was a little less tender than the pork, but the tofu was a hit, in big, crispy slightly battered triangles with plenty of teriyaki for dunking. Princess and I have leftovers for lunch today. There was a lot of food. Hubby cleaned his plate. I’d say we’d do this one again. It was pretty good. Not awesome, but not bad.
