Open Doors is the BEST hot power yoga studio I have ever been to. The instructors are all top notch – very knowledgeable in a variety of poses and modifications as well as being very clear with instruction. The studio in Weymouth is my favorite – the heat in that studio is always just right and the instructors there offer such a wide variety of poses and flow styles. While it can be a bit pricey, it is definitely worth every penny. It’s a wonderful, fun workout that always has me excited to book my next class.

In my office, I have printed out all the local yoga classes in my area. I am not a «yogi» per say– I am not long and lean, and I certainly sweat a ton though these classes! The important thing that i LOVE about Open Doors is that you will always feel comfortable. The classes are a mix of ages, abilities etc. I have been to a myriad of classes, with five or six different instructors, and have appreciated each ones different style and method of teaching. There are a few particular reasons why Open Doors business model works: It is one«type» of yoga– hot power yoga, the spaces are very simple, nothing too fancy, they keep their prices lower than most other studios, they have a very nice, consistent schedule. I know that there is always a class around 7:15 — 7:30, it may be beginners, it may not be but I la ways know there is a class. My favorite instructor is Barbara Froio who teaches on Monday nights, and other days, but I am on a work schedule! She pushes you but is energetic and a doll. All of the instructors are amazing, one sprinkles you with rosewater and places a stone on your head, all are so friendly and not afraid to relax where you are tense, although someone touching my sweaty head took some getting use to! Walk ins are $ 15, Students $ 10, various workshops and packages are available. They also have a new system which emails you your receipt which is not only green but great if you can get an insurance reimbursement! This is a chain I want to sprout up in more places, each one has its own character, and Hingham is my favorite!
