Got a pizza here and was greatly disappointed — probably one of the worst pizza’s we have ever had. I guess there’s not much else to say — except we will not be going back.

First visit to this location, and I will not be coming back. Granted it was a busier night during St. Patrick’s season, but they had you smashed in to places that had no reason having tables located there. The rueben egg roll appetizer came out almost raw. No crispiness to the egg roll shell and the insides were barely warm. The waiter was awful. Very pushy with getting the order and then disappearing. He told us to order the pizza now because it would take a really long time to come out. It came out almost raw also. Seems like they were just cranking out the food barely cooked. When I asked to have it more done, he grabbed the pizza back with an attitude and then it took a really long time to get it back. It didn’t taste the same at the other locations at all. Also, the male host was very frazzled and definitely could NOT handle his job. He was flitting about, with what was obviously a female trainee, and was very stressed out which was rubbing off on the rest of the waitstaff. Will not being coming back to this location ever. Gives Fox’s a bad name.

My 2nd time here since the first experience was pretty pleasant. However after tonight I’m convinced this place is only good for the pizza. Tonight I ordered the prime rib which was on special for $ 12.99 a la carte. I ordered it medium rare and when it came out I could already tell it was overcooked. It was medium at best. Pink in the middle, no red, and by the time I was done there wasn’t a drop of blood on the plate. The only reason I didn’t send back was because we were with our 4 yr old. Also ordered an app of calamari which tasted fine but I noticed the portion was a bit skimpy. Then when we got the bill I realized they charged 9.99 for it, the same price as my wife’s entrée which had way more food. Then after ordering a lagunitas draft I noticed on the bill they charged $ 8 for this. Expensive if you ask me for a pint, considering my wife’s margarita and any other drink with liquor was even less than this. Have never seen a price this high for lagunitas around here. Service was fine but the place is also tiny. In no need to come back any time soon.

I have been to this restaurant five or six times and my grandkids love the face painting and the magician on Friday nights. The pizza is good but the rest of the entrees we have had are average at best. I am writing this because many family’s frequent this establishment and I want to alert them to the roach problem in this restaurant. We had finished our meal and my grandkids were finishing their ice cream when we noticed a bug run under a plate. I picked it up and it ran under another plate. I immediately let the manager know what we witnessed and they came over with a napkin and tried to catch it. They then told us they were aware of the issue and we’re going to have exterminators come in. They blamed it on the restaurant next door. They still charged us half our bill, but we paid and left. My last visit!

Great food & super thin crust pizza. What you’d expect from an Irish pub(corned beef, Reubens, etc.) AND excellent fried chicken! Seasoned perfectly, super moist, with just the right amount of crispy breading. Carry outs with curbside«delivery» makes this more than a once-in-a-while destination. Friendly, attentive service. Rooftop dining available. Give it a go & you’ll be a fan.

Sept 2015 was my first trip to Fox’s Hinsdale location. or any of their locations for that matter. Somehow this was the place that was chosen to host a Memorial Luncheon for my Father In Law after the burial. We believe this venue was chosen because full bar service was available at noon. The food served consisted of Salad and Pizza. The salad was lettuce salad with choice of 2 dressings. Nothing special. Pizza — they put out several types, cheese, sausage and a few specialties. I personally had the cheese and the sausage. The pizza is good. If Fox’s were in California the pizza would be fantastic but in Chicago it is just good as there are good pizza places throughout the Chicagoland. That being said, for Chicago it was average. The pizza had the typical salty taste and plenty greasy, just like real cheese will make it. The cheese ran all the way to the end of the crust. If anything the cheese pizza I had was overcooked but I happen to like my thin crust this way. My daughter was with us and has a medical condition. Her diet does not allow much protein so cheese and meat is completely out. She had salad but asked if she could get a personal vegan pizza for herself. My wife ordered her a personal 2 topping pizza with no cheese. The bill she paid was $ 15.84. This sort of floored her. If you are paying for 80 people, many places would just comp and provide the personal vegan as you already are paying for the whole party. When they delivered the pizza to the table, it was this pathetic little 7″ personal pizza. What baffles me is what is printed on the menu. Fox’s lists a dine in lunch special of a 7″ personal pizza with 3 toppings with either salad or soup for $ 9.99 dine in or $ 10.99 carry out. They also list a 10″ Gluten free pizza for $ 15.00. This one definitely wasn’t 10″ nor Gluten free nor with 3 toppings. So we ended up paying $ 15.84 for her personal pizza, and whatever they were charging per head for the group. So she probably cost around $ 30 for her afternoon. When my wife was told the price, she exclaimed«Whoa», the cashier just looked at her, took her money, made change and walked away without a word. Never got a receipt. Since she just had attended the burial of her father, she wasn’t in the mood to argue. The cost for the room and 80 people for salad, pizza and soft drinks, was over $ 1000 or about $ 13 a head.

We had the bruschetta pizza and it was wonderful. Our server, Patrick was great — very friendly and knowledgable of the area.

I came to this restaurant with a lot of family after my grandfather’s funeral. I’ve not heard of this place until this point, but I have to say it’s a great place! We were upstairs since there were so many of us, and the staff members were incredibly sweet and friendly. Their pizza is phenomenal. Fox’s Special and sausage were my two favorites. My family liked the Veggie and Chicken Alfredo pizza the best, but beware: the Alfredo pizza is overwhelming with the amount of onions! Order easy on the onions if you get the Alfredo pizza! My mom inquired about having a graduation party here, and Jackie was incredibly helpful. Fox’s is incredibly reasonable in price if you have a party here, and they make it so simple to set up a date and time!

I had read some so-so and even poor reviews of this place. I had zero complaints. Split a large sausage and giardiniera pizza. Pizza was hot, cooked right. service good. Both drank couple $ 1 miller beers. $ 25 with tip. Place was exactly what I hoped it would be. Was quiet. Good for families, dates or just caching up with friends.

This location is somewhat hidden in a strip center off of Ogden. It’s a nice looking restaurant and has a roof deck which is unique to the area. I have been there for lunch twice and it was easy to get a table. They have reasonably priced lunch specials and I had pizza both times. It’s good but not great. Service was excellent. This is the place to come if you want outdoor seating in the Hinsdale area and you don’t want to hunt for parking.

I love Fox’s pizza from Orland Park. Tried the pizza here and it was great! Tried it twice afterwards and it was so-so, somewhat flavorless. Confused so I tried it again — great! So I don’t know what the problem was. Right now I am batting .500 and will definitely try it 1 more time, hoping for the best.

Have been to Fox’s in Hinsdale 4 times and the 4th time will be the last time. Pizza is great! Other food items are below average. The 1 star review is due to horrendous service. It has gotten progressively worse… waiting as long as 20 minutes for server to take drink orders. Another 20 minutes to get drinks and place food order. Then another 20 – 30 minutes to get food. Last night we walked out after 20 minutes because the server never came by(and the restaurant was practically empty). We asked the host to get us the manager and, yet again, waited. A waste of time. If you want Fox’s pizza, get carry out or delivery.

We were driving by Hinsdale and I saw the catering truck with the words proudly painted on «we’re just not pizza.» I’ve been curious about this place for a while so I suggested it for dinner. We got there at about 8 that Friday evening. We ordered the fish tacos, potato crusted fish, bruschetta pizza and a grilled chicken and avocado sandwich. The service was fine but the food was disappointing. The fish tacos came with a pico de gallo that was very bland. The potato crusted fish was soggy because it was placed on a plate right next to steamed vegetables. The bruschetta pizza was fine, but the tomatoes were very tart. It’s a cracker crust, so you have to like that kind of crust. The sandwich was the only decent thing. But the toast it came on was kind of greasy with butter. I really wanted to like this place. It’s a cute restaurant with some outdoor seating. I like how it caters to families. We’ll have to give it another try.

We have been going to the Fox’s in Oak Lawn for years. When we found out they were opening a Hinsdale location, we were excited. The pizza here is great! The rest of the menu items are just so-so. So our compromise is when we want a Fox’s pizza, we go to Hinsdale. When we want a Sloppy Italian Beef, we go to Oak Lawn. They seem to go through wait staff a lot, as each of the last three times we have gone here, we have been told, «Hi, I’m so and so and this is so and so. He(she) is in training. The good thing is that most of the trainees have been pretty good! As another reviewer said, this place is sometimes full of kid parties. Again, the solution is to go at odd times.

Horrible atmosphere, if you have screaming undisciplined children this place is great for you, comparable to a Chuck E Cheese. The foods pretty good, but the fries stink. The service is bad, with people who hate their jobs and could care less about your experience.

My issue with the restaurant is the ordering and picking up of pizza. Either the person taking the orders is doing too many things at once, or they really don’t understand what you are ordering. It is a 50⁄50 chance that your order will be correct. Secondly, picking up the pizza is an ordeal. This last time, they actually gave my order away to someone else! The lady came back in 5 min(as everyone behind the counter just walked away, wondering what to do). Then as I was paying, my credit card was handed back to someone else!!! All this with not one word of «I’m sorry»!! Last time going to Fox’s … too bad, cause the pizza is good.

Not exactly mind blowing. Pet peeve I guess, but a lot of the dishes they brought out were dirty. I mean food particles were still stuck to them. Cheesy Garlic Bread — pass Calamari — good, but greasy Sausage/Pepperonii Pizza — good

It was snowy and chilly, but we knew we might not have another good chance to eat out for a few days thanks to the extreme cold snap coming, so we trekked here on a Saturday evening to check out the newest Fox’s. We’ve eaten at the Oak Lawn and Orland Park locations several times together, and my husband grew up with it, so it’s familiar. This Hinsdale location is tucked into a little«lifestyle center» so you have to walk through the courtyard, it’s on the north end closer to Ogden. We were seated right away, upstairs in a cozy dining room with several TVs scattered around. I will say that this location looks nicer than the other two locations I’ve been to, clean, modern and with more light. I have nothing against Fox’s, so my three stars is not a condemnation, but it’s just … okay to me. The food is decent(I had a patty melt), the service was decent but not great, it’s fine. It’s the kind of place you can take your grandparents to, the kind of place where they do balloon animals for the kids, no big whoop but perfectly… fine.

Not being a native Chicagoan, I had heard all these amazing things about Fox’s so when a location opened up not far from my house, I decided to check it out. Know before you go that this is a place that caters to kids so balloon animals, face painting and loud children are the norm. I thought it would be more like a bar so I was taken aback at all the family stuff going on but it was interesting to watch. Our server was new and unskilled so she was the challenge of the evening getting our order right and making sure everyone had a beverage. But once the food came– the pizza was quite good and my salad was excellent. This location is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking but know that you have to walk through the courtyard to the middle back of the little mall. I’m a thin crust pizza girl so this was fine. But I will probably stick with my regular pizza joint in town. Now I feel I should check out the original Fox’s and see what all the fuss is really about as this suburban location clearly needs some of the character of the original!
