Super delicious! Hey had a few plant based sandwich lunch options. They also have a veggie breakfast burrito that’s really good. I ordered that with no egg and no cheese and they added quinoa and avacado for me. The people were super nice and the food was awesome! I’ve heard there muffins are amazing as well. But unfortunately sold out when I got there. Definitely would be back

If you are Paleo, Gluten Free, Vegan, or just love to eat healthy, than the Farm Stand Café is the place to go. Food is always fresh and uses lots of local ingredients. They have several Kombucha’s on tap from many local providers. I frequently go to the grocery store to stock up on local meats, such as bacon, lamb and grass fed beef. Rob, the owner, is always fun to chat with, and can usually answer any question you might have about special diet food items.

I checked in here and received a free cup of chicken basmati rice soup — so flavorful and delicious! The Tanya wrap was excellent and very fresh tasting. I love the combo of bacon with red onion. At $ 9.95(complimentary soup), this meal is the best deal in town! Full price would be $ 13.95, but more than enough food. Considering ingredients are fresh and organic(?, I’m assuming…), I would gladly return to Farm Stand.

We were bummed that we missed the fish delivery, so they were out when we came. Loved the fresh produce. The oyster mushrooms were amazing.

4 and a half stars. A very cute and clean place, with DELICIOUS healthy, fresh, all-natural food. Their employees are very friendly and aren’t clueless about the food, which happens at other places in my experiences. The prices in the café were very good too, which was to my surprise, especially in Hood River. I’ve ordered the Italian sandwich, coconut turkey wrap, and the dilly tuna sandwich, I think I got the names wrong haha. The Italian was perfect, the coconut turkey wrap was very good but definitely messy(which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!), and the dilly tuna sandwich is delicious as well but I wish they warmed it up and toasted the bread. But I bet they would if you asked. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is because of the produce prices in the little grocery area. Very high. If I could buy organic produce(for a more reasonable price) while eating an organic lunch then it would be as good as it gets.

What a surprise to find this superb café and grocery. I had a delicious satisfying Turkey Club sandwich with all the right tastes, textures and bread. And with nine flavors of organic Kombucha’s on tap I was hard pressed to settle on just one. The root beer jun was superb. All their ingredients were top quality. The grocery section with its carefully selected stock of great products would fit right in to a large city. The closest thing to Rainbow Grocery outside of San Francisco. What a lucky small town to have this kind of dedication.

I’ve been grocery shopping at the Farm Stand since 2012 when they were in their old location, but what compelled me to write this review now was the meal I had from their deli yesterday. Why the Farm Stand is one hell of a business: Fresh, clean, delicious lunch: The Mediterranean Salad(with chicken added) I had yesterday tasted so fresh, it was like I had picked it from my garden. The price was right there with other local lunch spots. I even drove from downtown to the heights to acquire this salad. Plus, it was ready for me in 4 minutes, and I was there at their lunch hour. Affordability: I’ve heard people labeling this place as «expensive» but actually they price their products lower than most other retailers. One thing that impresses me is even though this is a small, locally-owned business, they keep their prices reasonable. If a price seems high, I consider that at least they are stocking that product(i.e. coconut wraps. I consider them spendy. But if you go directly to the producer, they really aren’t much cheaper!) The prices may seem high because the quality of their products and their suppliers is high. Good on you Farm Stand! Diversity: They take the term Health Food Store to the next level. This isn’t your classic health-food store, where the focus is on one diet or one lifestyle. They provide food and products that could fit any eating strategy or lifestyle. Options for a Paleo lifestyle: I tend to consume foods and use products that align with my eating strategy. I’m looking for things without processed ingredients, toxic ingredients, and ingredients I am sensitive to. 9 out of 10 products are something I’d happily consume myself, or would recommend to someone else. The vibe: The owners and staff are so helpful and friendly. I totally don’t feel weird when I’m reading a product label for 5 minutes. They just get me. And are right there when I’m ready to ask a question or check out. Fresh produce: This is the best option for fresh plants, after my own garden or the farmers market. You can actually smell the produce the minute you walk in. Those Brussels sprouts are always staring me down. The fresher the vegetable, the more nutrients. I am happy to pay a touch more for a head of broccoli or an onion, when I know it hasn’t been in a bin in the dark for 2 weeks.

Went there for breakfast on Sunday morning. The food was fantastic. Top quality ingredients too. I really enjoyed the setting on that beautiful morning, eating out on the picnic tables and the view is also fantastic. Though everywhere in Hood River has a view of the mountains all around. I will be going back there next time I’m in the area.

Sandwich(Turkey Club) was fantastic, ordered a cup of the coconut Thai soup and it was not good at all, bland with strands of Lemmon grass or at least I hope that is what it was in it so it felt as if I had short strands of hair in my soup every time I took a spoon full had to stop eating it as my throat was getting irritated, was offered a biscuit with the soup decided to go for it and when I broke the biscuit open it was raw inside. I took it to the counter and discreetly tried to tell the woman preparing food that it was not cooked all the way(as there were other customers there and I did not want to turn them off from eating there) she turned to me and said«it’s raw» like she new it wasn’t but yet still served it. My husband got the sundries tomato tortellini salad and it was extremely dry. I guess all in all if you are looking for a good sandwich they have those but anything else as far as side dishes I would pass on.

I’ve never been to their deli, but I’m a fan of their market. It has good variety. I love getting the dried persimmons. However, it can be very overpriced so most of the times that I have come here is when I was using up a $ 50 gift card that I got from a friend.

9 different Kombuchas on tap… wow! This small grocery store has an excellent selection of fresh local items. We filled a growler with Kombucha and had a bulletproof coffee. Employees were friendly and happy to help even though they were busy.

Was passing through Hood River and decided to try Farm Stand for breakfast– so happy I did! Food: Got the veggie burrito in a teff(gluten free) tortilla. Delicious eggs, roasted veggies, and salsa on the side! Chef was also happy to accommodate my dietary need of no dairy. For the price of 6.95, this huge burrito really hit the spot! Service: Friendly & accommodating people. I ordered around 9am on a weekday, and my delicious breakfast was ready less than 10 minutes later. Ambiance: Cute little organic food store in Hood River. The made-to-order section is on the left hand of the store, with lots of seating space indoors and outside. Also has a fresh fish section. If you’re traveling through Hood River, stop here! I honestly will miss that veggie burrito.

We have a somewhat complicated diet(because the food generally available often barely qualifies as food) and traveling can be stressful. Finding a place that can be trusted is sometimes difficult, more so in some smaller towns. That’s in this context that we found and got really excited to visit the Farm Stand at the Gorge. Organic/grass fed breakfast with genuine bulletproof coffee like we make at home. And, you know, you can refill on healthy organic produce before heading back on the road.

From 9 different kinds of kombucha on tap to all sorts of gluten free /paleo /vegan selections, there is much to choose from for assembling a picnic. The owner was so nice, providing us samples of a nut cheese and kombucha. We wanted local cheeses and he was quick to point out the OR and WA offerings. He was out of a local blue and even ran home to see if he had a wedge in his fridge for us to try. Then even provided a band-aid when my son scraped his toe. What a find!

A great post-hike spot in Hood River! They have a lot of yummy veg-friendly sandwiches on Dave’s Killer Bread with great space both indoors and outdoors. I love their market place too — a great spot to pick up some fresh fruit or snacks for that bike ride or adventure. My go-to is the tempeh reuben with house-made cashew cheese. I wish it came with a side or chips — but life rolls on! Give it a try.

Ordered ‘The Tanya’ on Dave’s Killer bread, comes with avocado, turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, red onion, etc. It’s just a sandwich but I couldn’t believe how good it was, so packed with meat and goodies I had to keep it in it’s wrapper. They also have specialty kombucha on tap and a good variety of bottled as well, you can ask for a sample of what’s on tap. I enjoyed the passion fruit flavor. Their soups are homemade and wonderful! It’s a tad more spendy than your average café but because they use organic, grass fed and chemical free foods-I don’t mind. Stay and eat in the café or order to go. On the other side of the deli is the grocery store filled with organic gourmet and specialty foods and wine. Service is friendly and knowledgeable about their products and local places in Hood River as well as local wineries. Will be back for sure!

En route to Cycle Oregon, I needed a last minute stop to stock up on a few things for my ice chest and was very pleased to find this little natural grocery with plenty of vegan options, gourmet beer, local wine and deli items. Super friendly service and reasonable prices! I’m a fan!
