Normally airport pizza is last on my list of items I will consume as it is generally greasy garbage. Known offenders are Uno’s, Sbarro’s, Eastside Mario’s and Villa. They are to be avoided at all costs. For some reason I was hankering for pizza and since I had never heard of Barry’s I gambled. I would best describe my gamble as a push as Barry’s was decent. For $ 5.25 I was treated to a monstrous slice of Italian sausage pizza. The pizza had a lot of crust and ample toppings and was very filling. Airport pizza is still a no no but if I see a Barry’s again I might not be so absolute.

I had a longer flight coming up and figured I should grab something before it. Obviously everything in the airport is overpriced, but the best bang for your buck in my terminal looked like this place. I saw a nice amount of people over there placing orders. It was early in the morning, so they weren’t serving pizza yet. I asked what they recommended, and they said get the bacon Stromboli. I went with that. It was pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but it did fill the spot. It came with a good amount of bacon in it. Price wasn’t too bad, again considering it was the airport.

Airport food. I’ll pass. Unless I haven’t had lunch and it’s late afternoon. So I’m left between a choice of $ 10 Chinese or $ 6 pizza. Overpriced bad pizza it is. Except… it’s actually pretty good! Crispy, tasty crust and ample toppings, it’s good in its own right, not just for airport food. It’s not quite on par with good NY pizzas, but it’s a close facsimile. It’s probably 3.5 stars from food standpoint, but it is $ 6 so I’ll dock a half. But I’ll take this over any other airport pizza anywhere.

The pizza looks good at first glance. Then you see the prices and figure… ehh it’s an airport so the prices are high I’ll give it a shot. Do yourself a favor and walk down to Buffalo Wild Wings. The pizza was VERY greasy! I’m a pretty big fan of all types of pizza but this stuff was BAD. My wife had a salad and only ate half of it because it seemed like old lettuce.

When it comes to airport food, Hobby stands tall. There’s many options for travelers who have more than an hour to spare, including some solid options like Pappadeaux and Papa’s Burgers. Meanwhile, there’s fewer quality options for those with a short connection. Fortunately, Barry’s Pizza fills that need. Barry’s isn’t awesome pizza. Meanwhile, for a place inside TSA’s confines, Barry’s is better than you’d expect. If you’ve eaten at a Sbarro, Barry’s is much better. And, it blows away choices such as Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Dominos, etc. Two things I like about Barry’s: even when the line is long the staff works hard to keep it moving and get passengers on there way & the pizza is always hot. There’s an array of selections to choose from and when you do so they’ll slide it into the oven to firm up the crust and make sure it’s hot and tasty for customers. You’ll find fair pizza and better than you’d expect strombolis here for a fair price and if you’re tapped for time, there’s few places that provide better options. Barry’s is a safe bet in Hobby — and one slice is enough to fill most up.

Barry’s disproves the myth that even bad pizza is better than no pizza. It *looks* like a slice with Italian sausage. It tastes like a slightly greasy packing crate.

I just tried this place during a layover and I have to say I was impressed… enough to write a review. I never get pizza without sauce but after seeing the spinach and feta, I couldn’t resist. The dough was a perfect thickness with enough integrity and crunch to hold the mountain of spinach & feta without collapsing. The crust was also thick and just the right amount of «doughyness«. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because of the price. Could have easily eaten another slice but I could have spent an equivalent of a years salary in China.

I was disappointed about my delayed flight and needed something delicious to drown my sorrows, on a college budget. I circled around the Houston Hobby Airport and decided Pizza was the best option(and my dad’s name is Barry). I was immediately greeted by Jose with a smile and a sincere greeting. I ordered a slice of Margarita and a medium drink. The service was fast, efficient, and friendly. It’s silly how excited I was to finally get excellent airport food with a smile! If ever I find myself in Houston Hobby again, I will happily return to Barry’s. You guys are doing something right!

Bought a slice on the fly at Houston International airport. Very good crust, crisp and the edge was doughy and chewy. They provide an ample supply of condiments to flavor your pizza and do not skimp on the toppings.

Veggie deep dish pizza is really good! Service can sometimes be slow. They charge for a side of anything including Ranch.

Obviously these reviews had to be written by employee’s, service was terrible. Manager hollered at women in front of me because she was standing in wrong line. I was told that since I didn’t follow signs to place order I wasn’t being waited on. Lousey service with an attitude

Delicious food + great service. My sister and I was looking for an affordable place to eat before boarding on the plane and we walked around and saw Barry’s pizza. The pizza was looking mighty good or maybe it’s because we were both hungry & craving pizza. We got the spinach and feta cheese and it was CRISPY, TASTY, and FRESH. It was delicious for just airport food. I’m actually craving for some pizza while writing this review haha.

Fast, friendly service! I was hustling to make a connecting flight and didn’t know if I would have time to get something to eat. Fortunately the guys here were super speedy and courteous. They even helped me pick a combo that was cheaper than ordering the individual items I wanted. The pizza wasn’t great(barely any sauce) but the salad was fresh and the large size was a generous amount. I was thankful to have something to eat on my cross country flight — kudos to these guys for such good, fast service!

Exceptionally friendly staff! And really good pizza! I almost walked away when I noticed that there was no pepperoni pizza on display. I’m glad I didn’t! I learned that they add the pepperoni to the plain cheese pizza as they’re ordered. Just like all those mall locations that sell pizza by the slice, Barry’s pizza also sticks your pizza into the oven for a minute or two after you order it. Mine was super hot & fresh! A little greasy, but that’s to be expected.

Pizza is ok — pricey. They hard sell the marinara sauce it’s an extra 79 cents. They try, of corse, to sell drinks and salads and cookies too. I passed on that stuff but I got a side of marinara. $ 7.39 Quite a ripoff for 1 slice. I now plan to avoid this place for one of the many better choices here at Houston Airport.

Best airport pizza ever! Fresh and yummy. The staff was a tad rude, but I imagine that airport customers aren’t always the kindest either. Loved the pepperoni and sausage Stromboli! Didn’t taste or look like it had been sitting their all day, nice and hot and flavorful!

Wow, unexpectedly fantastic pizza and salad! Tried the cheese pizza and a sausage deep dish, the cheese was by far one of the best we have had in a long time!!!

Had this in the airport during a layover. Wasn’t particularly in the mood for anything, so sat in the food court looking at what others were eating while I made my selection. After I saw the big as your face slices coming from Barry’s, I made my selection. I opted for a slice of the Margherita pizza and I was very impressed. The ingredients were fresh(Olive oil, Roma tomato, garlic & fresh basil) and well balanced. I have to say this is probably some of the best and least greasy airport pizza I’ve ever had. Will certainly keep this in mind on any future layovers in Hobby.

This has to be the best airport pizza ever. I had a simple slice of cheese, it was quite big and pretty darn good. Although, it was kind of greasy it was nonetheless, delicious! In comparison to other airport pizza spots I have tried in the past this spot was good. They had several different selections, some greasier than others, but you can never go wrong with cheese.

This pizza place can best be described as «monster» and I mean that in a positive way. The workers are friendly and engage with you, even if there is a line, as they explain the ingredients if asked or they tell you about the«deals» to hook up the pizza with a salad or a fruit thing. The deep dish pizza was killer, in the way that only monsters can accomplish. It was big. It had serious toppings. It had the right amount of cheese. The sauce was perfectly matched to be present but not overpowering. The bread was perfect. This pizza was so good. This has now become my standard«get pizza on the way out» when I fly from Hobby to all interesting corners of the nation.
