I’m new to Phở so my review is somewhat based on service and portion size. First: minus one star for serving the entrée before the appetizer. Second: minus half a star for the amount of meat in the Phở, it was a little sparse for the four meat combo. Third: minus half a star for the side plate accompanying the Phở, it just wasn’t put together that well. Good amount of basil and bean sprouts but lacked cilantro and only two slices of jalapeño. I would really liked some more jalapeño. All in all the food was good. Phở 4 meat combo(P15) tasted really good. Meats tasted good and the broth was flavorful. I also had the Vietnamese egg rolls, after my entrée, which were good as well. Will I go back? Yeah, but if I get the app. before the entrée again I’m done!

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend to try their bone marrow. Personally, I like strange foods, so I was intrigued. However, the food just didn’t make the cut. Phở is over priced for what it is and the bone marrow is served in a cup with nothing to spread it on to such as. bread? crackers? You’re looking at $ 15 – 20 a person for lunch. which you should expect to at least hit $ 10 since they have a steep credit card minimum.

Alison Cook was right. I want to try the whole menu, and their spring rolls are now my favorite.

THEYGETNOSTARS!!! I selected ONE star because this app made me in order to share this post! Every time I have tried to order food there lately they get the order wrong! Not to mention the portions have sizes changed(tiny) and the flavor is off! When I called to tell them that I have had this problem so many times recently the lady on the phone told me that I ordered wrong and should have ordered it a better way the next time! There will be no next time! If you can’t give your customer what they are paying for DONTFREAKINGSAYYOUWILLDOIT! THATISCALLEDLYINGANDSTEALING!!!

The food here tastes pretty good but, it’s crazy how much more they charge for average food compared to other Vietnamese places in Houston. Banh Mi is $ 6.50! That’s almost 3 times as much as other places I eat at regularly in Midtown… which are $ 2.50. I guess they just have the market cornered in the Galleria area. It’ll do if you have a major hankering but, I think you can find a better value else where.

A friend was having lunch here and asked me to join when I texted him to whine about my hunger. I am honestly not a big Phở fan. To me it doesn’t matter if you call it phở or ramen, it’s all soup and I am not a big fan of that either! Luckily this spot has banh mi(aka po-boy, submarine sandwich, hoagie, etc). I opted for the grilled chicken sandwich(s2), but no sides. While it was just a sandwich, the chicken seemed to be freshly grilled. I also like the dressing — mayo, cilantro, jalapenos? Yes please! It was a good sandwich and it came out pretty quick. As for their phở? I didn’t try it, but I know this is a place my friend frequents and he loves phở and ramen. For that reason I would assume it is more than adequate. As for me? This seems like a good place to stop if you are near the Galleria and want a quick bite to eat, but don’t want greasy fast food or to deal with the Galleria itself.

My first time here & trying Phô. I had the grilled chicken sub with carrots & chicken Phô. Very flavorful & nice quiet establishment. I shall return & try something different.

This place is yummy! We’ve tried a few apps… the dumplings are to die for. Also the cold spring rolls(summer rolls?) are really good. We always get the eye round steak phở and it never disappoints!

I come to this location all the time. I also been going to the back in the days. But this was the first for me, I got to the register and gave my order the girl, very young, said you sure? She start to tell me what’s in it and sai I think you should order something else. I look at her and said yeah I know I’m Vietnamese and I know what’s in it. She then said most American don’t know and I stopped her right there. I am lime do I look American to you? She just look at me and like ok. That was interesting to me, I didn’t look lost or act like it was my first time there. Didn’t ask her what was good or what she suggested. Food came out quick and hot. I would say they are one if the better Phở place. The guys are out here cleaning the table right after the people getup so there is not much waiting going on.

I don’t know what it is but today we had to move to another table twice because they were dirty. It was cleaned but still dirty. The seats have some spotted leftover food and the tables have streaks of dirty wipe. When the back waiter delivered our food, the tray was dirty full of food crumbs like meat and veggies. It looked damped too. Feeling really dirty being here. And every time we come in, there’s always at least one dirty table. If what we can see outside is dirty, imagine what we can’t see in the kitchen. See my picture for this restaurant.

I had the chicken vermicelli bowl yesterday and it was so good! I also loved the Vietnamese iced coffee. I thought the prices were a tad high… I’ve had vermicelli bowls at other restaurants with bigger portions and lower prices than this place. Nevertheless, the food was good and the lady working the register was very patient and kind.

For Westheimer locals near the Galleria, its either this or Tan Tan. Bun Thit Nuong 4 of 5. Noodles with grilled pork Com Bo Thit Nuong 4 of 5. Rice with grilled beef Both of these dishes are very similar in their qualities. Fresh vegetables, crisp lettuce and lightly pickled carrots. The noodles /rice are as they should be. The stand out part is that the meat is grilled fresh. I love the contrast in temperatures of the hot protein and cool vegetables. Fish sauce is traditionally flavored, just like mom’s.

Meh sums it up just about right. The restaurant was clean and the customer service was on point. I just wasn’t impressed with the food. To me it was bad enough to where I don’t believe I’d return. It had nothing to do with the restaurant its self… I just know of places that have much better Phở. The Phở was the only thing I tried, their other dishes might be wonderful but as far as going back I’ll most likely just end up going to the places that I know have good Phở.

I ordered P15, which is a regular phở with your choice of 4 meats, a drink, and an egg roll or spring roll. I asked the spring roll and the soup w/meatballs, brisket, round, and tendon. When I got the spring roll, I could tell it was not fresh. Rice paper was kind of dried out. When I got the soup, there were 3 med strips of brisket, 3 am of round, 4 small meatballs(imagine 1 big one cut in quarters). There was no tendon. I told the lady behind the counter and she gave me this look of disbelief. I offered to show her and she followed me to the table where I took the spoon and stirred it to show her. She said, «let me look for you, I take it». I told her to just bring it to me on the side and I would add it. She brought me a cup full of broth with a couple of tiny slithers of tendon. See pic. Soup was warm not hot. By the time I finished it, it was cold. Broth flavor was ok, just not hot enough. Oh and they had kids songs playing! I heard Mary had a little lamb and row your boat like 4 times! Felt like I was in a daycare serving soup. Anybody know a better phở place near this one?

The broth needs help flavor smh even after I added my extras lawd it tasted not right still. And again no bone marrow… Just take it off the menu!!! It’s becoming pointless. Won’t be coming back. The attendants were friendly nonetheless was not worth $ 8

My main reasons I come here are because it’s close to me and it opens after 8pm. I find their food okay, of course not the best Houston has to offer. I usually get Phở with meatballs. The husband has had their vermicelli dish before and he really likes it. I like their order concept. Very fast food-like, and I don’t have to wait on people to order my food. Service is fast and they recently replaced their booth seats(the leather was all torn up before). I think it’s unfair to compare this place to other phở places in Chinatown. The price here is higher because rent here is probably higher than Chinatown. I can only compare this place to other nearby restaurants. And since I found myself coming back to this place, I have to give it four stars.

This used to be one of my favorite place to eat. However, the last time I went the woman at the front desk tried not to give me a fountain drink(comes with my $ 13.96 meal.) The prices have increased dramatically. Why pay $ 11+ for vermicelli beef when I can go to Phở Saigon, get extra meat and a drink and spend less than $ 10. Not to mention Phở Saigon tastes great and you are rewarded a free meal after spending $ 100. Pros: The food taste great! The meat is tender. Cons: Everytime I go I am charged a different price than my last visit(I was eating here 2x or 3x a week.) Menu price and price charged vary. Portion size is smaller. Most expensive menu for Vietnamese in the area.

I was craving phở and came here since it has good reviews. I was let down. I ordered the chicken phở and was not impressed. There is something with their broth that reminds me of Campbell’s chicken noodle soup. I also ordered grilled chicken spring rolls that were okay. I would have preferred a peanut sauce instead of whatever it came with. I will say that the employees were nice and it was fast service.

I’ve been here a couple of times, and right now it’s my go to place for phở. It’s a little more pricey, but it’s conveniently closer to my house than having to drive to chinatown. I’ve tried their egg rolls and spring rolls for appetizers. I’m not a fan of the spring rolls due to the bean sprouts included. Raw bean sprouts aren’t my thing, but maybe they’ll work for you. The egg rolls are decent if not a little dry, however that’s doable for me considering there’s sauce. As for as entrees, I’ve gotten the phở as well as tried their grilled combination plate. The broth for the phở is pretty tasty but make sure to drink it while it’s still hot. I thought it started to lose it’s flavor as it cooled so definitely wouldn’t suggest it for take out. As for the grilled plate, we asked if they could just do a plate with half pork and half chicken, but they wouldn’t. Kind of stupid so we ended up ordering the combination which also comes with grilled shrimp as well as chicken and pork. When we got the plate, we thought it was a little ridiculous as the plate came with 2 shrimp. Overall the grill plate flavors were nice so I guess not much to complain. The chicken was chicken breast, which I wasn’t a big fan of as it seemed a little dry. The pork and shrimp, however were delicious.
