Bruxie

I made sure to pay this place a visit while I was down in the area last weekend, since I’ve had this place on my radar for some time. Plenty of items on the menu made the choice difficult, so I asked what the 2 most popular dessert waffles were. I chose the crème brûlée waffle over the nutella one and paired it with a cup of coffee for $ 10.
I have to say… it may have been the best sweet waffle I’ve ever had. The hardened caramel of the crème brûlée waffle provided an extra crunch, and the coffee pairing cut the sweetness in a perfect way. I was surprised that this single meal instantly put me in such a good mood, and it’s rare when breakfast does that to me.
I’m legitimately sad that there isn’t a Bruxie up in NorCal and will definitely be paying another visit as soon as I’m in the area again.

Bruxie, you deserve a five star! I’ll tell you why.
I am generally not a waffle person. My friends have been fussing over this place since four years ago when several franchise locations were opening but I never bothered to give it a try. What I had expected Bruxie to be in my head was completely different until I tried it! I had thought it was going to be a typical waffle that you get at any other chicken n waffle place.
I tell you not, Bruxie is the BEST thing that happened to me today!!!
I work in Irvine and was looking for a place to grab lunch. Let’s just say that I am spoiled with fine tasting and quality food, hence, I am hard to satisfy when it comes to food. I placed a togo order via phone and ordered the following:
–Stacked Hot Pastrami & Gruyère
–Carolina BBQ Pulled Pork
–Nutella & Banana with fresh Raspberries
The food was ready for pick up in approximately ten minutes from when I had placed the order. When I first took a bite of the Carolina BBQ Pulled Pork, I had lost all senses to my surroundings and was so focused on savoring the taste. I devoured the first half of the pulled pork waffle. I then grabbed half of the Stacked Hot Pastrami & Gruyère and devoured it all in few minutes! My employees were surprised on how quickly I finished both of the waffles. I was very ecstatic about how delicious the waffle sandwiches tasted. I then eyed the Nutella & Banana waffle as I was curious of how Bruxie’s dessert waffle would taste. When I took a bite into the waffle, I completely lost it because I knew I had found my food-​soulmate restaurant.
I will definitely be coming back (probably three times a week for the days I work in Irvine.) #skinnyfatty

Had the favorites’ Buttermilk Waffle Chicken $ 8.10
Great ambience to the place. Authentic presentation/​wrapping and unique taste to the crispy chicken and sandwich. Note to Asian Tongues out there: you might want to ask for more sauce because the chicken seasoning and chilli honey sauce might not be strong enough.

I’m not a big waffle sandwich person but Bruxies is pretty good! I’ve had Bruxie before and wasn’t really a fan, but I ordered something else this time and really enjoyed it.
I ordered their special-​Bruxie Hash & Eggs while my boyfriend ordered their Green Eggs and Ham. We split half/​half so we could try both sandwiches. The Bruxie Hash and Eggs came with a side of gravy which I opted not to use. I feel like both sandwiches would’ve tasted much better if the egg was cooked over easy so the yolk was runny. They were both very different and its hard to say which one I liked better. I definitely do want to come back and try their other sandwiches as well like their prosciutto one! And you cant forget their waffle fries! So crispy but soft at the same time.
Tons of seating inside and out. Definitely a great and affordable spot to grab a quick bite to eat!
