Montana Club

Have stopped here a few times when passing through. Always very nice, food is good, service great. Nicely decorated and plenty of seating.
My man likes this place! Big servings.

We spent the evening here, on short notice with a party of 7. Not only was the food wonderful, but it was very high quality. We got everything quickly, and out waitress was the most lovely woman who was friendly and helpful. If we are ever in town again, we are definitely coming back :)

We walked in at 11:30am on a Sunday and requested a table in the bar. We were seated 5 minutes later. After 10 minutes, we had received no greeting, we stopped the hostess and asked if we had a server. She paused, thought for a moment, and said she’d go find her. After coming back from the kitchen, she told us our server was busy and took our drink order. 5 minutes after that, who I can only assume was our server dropped off a mimosa and an Arnold Palmer. I will say that the mimosa was delicious. Our server did not greet or acknowledge us, and walked away without taking our order. We waited another 10 minutes while our server continued to ignore us until we left cash on the table got outta there. Worst service I’ve ever had.

Great place for get togethers with family and friends. I love their Coffee Avalanche and French Dip!!!

We’ve eaten here quite a bit. I’ve never had bad food or a bad experience with service. The service is good and the food is good too. I wouldn’t say its high-​end food but the prices are reasonable and the food is pretty good! I usually get the salmon sandwich and a salad. The salads are yummy with pieces of pepperoni!
I like the atmosphere and they usually can accommodate a large group.
Their special brunches-Mother’s day, Easter etc. are good too
We’ll definitely keep going!

We have eaten here a few times and enjoy the bar area. Today I had a halibut wrap and you have a choice of side so I had a salad it was pretty good size and my husband had a Glacier Dip with fries. Both were delicious and the service is good. They have a full bar. We each had one beer and the price was 35 plus tip. We enjoy the Montana Club.

I have been here several times and was never really that impressed with the food. I decided to give it another chance today because they were having a Mother’s Day brunch and the menu sounded promising. None of the food really tasted that good besides the prime rib which I would say was just decent. All of the melon was way under ripe and tasted terrible. For $ 22.99 I expected to be blown away by the taste and quality of food. Also, our waitress was really annoying because she called all of us honey and babe and sweetie and darling and she was way younger than all of us; she also would put her hand on our shoulders or backs every single time she asked if everything was good or if we were done with our plates and I don’t know about you but I don’t like being touched like that by strangers. It also didn’t help to see the big health inspection sign upon entering which was a B… that kind of disgusted me immediately.
Overall, I was disappointed and don’t plan on going back.

As we were greeted, there was a nice happy welcoming ambiance. We were seated quickly and our server was attentive and polite (we had a demanding child in our party). We all shared the nachos for our appetizer and it was good.
I ordered the chorizo pasta. It was a little spicy and bland, but when I ordered my huckleberrytini, the pasta was great. Haha
I enjoyed it overall!

I dine here quite often. The menu selections are very numerous. The best appetizer is the ahi tacos! Order any of their steaks they’re awesome! If Susan is available ask to be seated in Her section because she’s genuine and great at her job. Also order the pear tini from the bar or if on draft get a pint of cold smoke. Some folks think the Montana club is a bit spendy but it’s so worth it.

TL;DR– if there’s nowhere to eat on a Sunday, it’ll do. Just be prepared for underwhelming service and okay foods.
For the readers– Went in around 5p on a Sunday because we’re not from here and we weren’t sure where else to eat on a Sunday (locally-​ish, not national chain) when much else appeared to be closed.
It wasn’t very busy when we went in but it took our waiter thirteen minutes to get to our table to take our drink order. He also failed to mention his name, his specials, or bring his pad to the table so he had to leave us and come back. Luckily after that, he did fine. Must note– definitely not a lazy dude– he was hoppin. He just maybe needed to take a breath and start again.
Food wasn’t awful, just pricey for what you’re getting.
$ 54 before tip for two chewy steak dinners (albeit cooked correctly– hats tipped to the kitchen), and one soda. Bonus points for the salads served in chilled bowls. I got the ginger vinaigrette– it was excellent.
Meh, should have used our dinner money in the attached casino instead.

We fully enjoyed breakfast here. The chicken fried steak and California eggs Benedict are both delicious. Service was also friendly and prompt!

Service:
I’ll start off by saying I’m in Kalispell Montana so I’m not expecting much. But when I came in the door I wasn’t greeted and when I sat at the bar, the bartender ignored me and instead talked to her «friend» at the end of the bar about movies and other non relevant things. Even the manager was uninvolved with the customers. The bar and restaurant weren’t busy at all. Then the manager disappeared in the back with a full beer with the local girl to do who knows what.
Food:
Now let’s talk about the food. I started with wine, decent selection but it had clearly been sitting out for days and tasted awful. Then came the salad. It was terrible, the lettuce was wilted and bitter. I ordered the «house specialty steak» and baked potato… dry steak and overlooked potato. These guys are batting .1000! When you come to a small town like this, I feel like you should have some small town pride in what you do. They don’t have it at all!!!
Passing time:
So Jenn is the bartender and she works her ass off and I’d hire her in a heartbeat. But, this is the only saving grace at this place. I’m not sure where else to recommend when visiting this thriving metropolis but you probably want to avoid this place if you’re looking for a good place to eat.

The worst service we had ever received! It took 15 minutes to even come and get our drink order. There was only 10 tables with 3 waitresses. Not busy at all. Took for ever for them to bring us our food.

We had a fabulous meal here for their once per year lobster fest. We will definitely be back. We had exceptional service, the atmosphere is pleasant, the food was tasty and portions were large. My husband had something off the regular menu and enjoyed it as well. I had the ginger dressing on my salad which was great & unique.

I am not a fan of the Montana club. The wait staff are a real hit and miss. We have had good luck and then other times where the place was dirty and the silverware was not clean. The food was at one time very tasty and now it’s seems very average. The prices are high for the experience. If they are not busy you have a good chance of the food being good if it’s busy watch out.

We did our dinner for Thanksgiving here. We figured it was going to be a buffet but it wasn’t. We all decided to opt out of Turkey in exchange for prime rib which was pretty good although it was a pretty small cut. I asked for no mashed potatoes in favor of more veggies which i didn’t get. The stuffing was very interesting with bacon.
It was busy on this night so I am sure you could get better service or more service other nices. Overall pretty good food and the price wasn’t too bad.
I didn’t see this review about the salad, true that, it was wility and not good. But seems like that is a Montana thing.

Great service, good ol’ Montana Club atmosphere.
The breakfast was average. I had a Benedict with entirely too much hollandaise sauce on it. I could barely taste, let alone see, the egg underneath. But if you’re looking for something a little nicer than a chain breakfast, this is it.

Worst service and most expensive dog food I have ever purchased. Go to the gas station across the street and get a sandwich, you will be better off.

Nice clean restaurant even if it is part of a casino. Good choice on menu and the place is clean and food servers are professional

On a whim, decided to have the portobello mushroom sandwich on the advice of a yep review, and i gotta say, it was probably the best portobello mushroom sandwich I’ve ever had. Flavorful and well seasoned, it was a pleasure to eat. Although I do have to admit that I rarely have portobello mushroom sandwiches, this doors argue for me doing it more often.
The sweet potato fries was good, but missed perfection by the addition of cinnamon.
Sue’s patty melt was pretty good too, but I think you have to really try to mess up a patty melt.
Overall, a really solid place, probably the best you’d find in this town.
