We frequent this location at least once a week. We love the food! It’s always made fresh and to order. If they ever make a mistake they are always accommodating and fix the problem with no questions asked. There has been a time or two when they’ve ran out of something and they’ve replaced that item with something else. And who can beat their $ 1.50 Happy Hour margaritas! We often enjoy their patio on nice days. It’s a great place to eat at and we appreciate the military discount as well!

i watched the guy cooking the fajitas pull a piece of meat off the grill but when he saw i saw him he tried to hide it in the oven next to where he was cooking, also the black guy making the plates jus tossed the flautas onto my plate, so if i wanted rice all over them i would have asked for them like that. long story short, i hope he doesn’t take his job too serious which i can see he doesn’t. …

Wow. Went here for Ash Wednesday to get a shrimp quesadilla and was told they don’t have that. I said well you have shrimp and you have quesadillas, could you put shrimp on a cheese quesadilla and charge me extra for the shrimp? She goes uh, no. Horrible customer service.

Food is great, the chips need to be fresher and the queso needs less jalapeños to hot, someone has a heavy hand. Need sour for each order, otherwise it’s pretty good.

Waited for 20 mins then had to say something. I was waiting in the front for my food and the bus boy kept walking past me aeeing that I had not received my food yet but didnt bother asking if i needed anything. Finally I spoke up and I was promptly asked for my reciept. Food was definitely not worth that kind of wait or headache. would not reccomend. I wont be coming back thats for sure.

Horrible; cold food, rude customer service employees who speak little to no English even the MOD– which means my order is usually incorrect. I gave them three chances, no more.

I always order the same thing — three pack street tacos. It never fails that something is missing from the tacos, whether it’s onions, limes, or cilantro. So they are reliable at that. Yesterday I got one piece of beef in the taco so that was a surprise. Ordering has always been difficult as they seem to not understand what I’m saying. The drive thru is ridiculously slow and the parking lot is so tiny and awkward. It’s fast food so I’m not expecting greatness.

This location has a serious, and I mean serious, roach problem. If you go out to eat in the patio(especially at night) they are everywhere which is why the second time there we opted for eating inside only for one to fly into my boyfriend and crawl up his arm and chest before shaking it off. You should’ve seen how unfazed the employees were by this while we just sat there with our mouths open not being able to process what happened. The meat there is horrible. Ordered the fajita plate and was served nothing but the fat. Had to exchange it for a chicken plate. This place’s only saving grace are their chips n queso and margaritas. 3rd times a charm? Yea right I’m done. Please get it together mason rd taco cabana.

Never again! The first time I went to this location, it took 30min to make it through the drive thru. By the time I finally got to the window, the cashier swiped my card for the wrong order, so I ended up paying for somebody else’s $ 26 order as well as my own $ 7 order. I told him he overcharged me, and got a manager to ‘refund’ the order(it’s been WEEKS and still nothing!!! I have my receipts ppl). I told them both that these had best be the greatest taquitos I’ve ever had, and left. They were not. Next time: I dine in with a group and pay separate. I order chips and guacamole with sopapillas. How could they mess this up? By losing the ticket of course! We complain and he fixes it then and there. Third time(why??): I get steak nachos to go. The chips and cheese are melted to the styrofoam container, meaning that the whole bottom layer of the meal is inedible. Dirty, poorly managed, and incompetent crew. I’m a restaurant manager and every time I have a friend suggest eating here, j just can’t bring myself to go back. It’s filthy. And I guarantee nothing will come of this bad review, because if they cared about customer retention in the slightest, corporate would be in these stores, aware of the issues, and busting their butts to fix these problems.

My family and I come here often when we’re craving some Tex Mex food. I love this place. The prices are very affordable, the place is well kept and clean, and the staff are very friendly. I love their flautas and salsa. Can’t wait to visit again!

This location is always accommodating, the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is clean, the salsa bar is kept well stocked, and the food is always cooked fresh. For ‘fast food’, this establishment easily rivals several tex-mex joints in the area.

First time through the drive through with a very simple order… No sour cream. You guessed it — the order was wrong. I called the toll-free number and was told that the problem would be referred to upper management.(This was repeated three times) All I wanted was a refund or voucher. I called the local restaurant… Four times. Thre of the four times, it rang repeatedly, then was answered and immediately hung up. It took 22 minutes to get an employee on the phone. Go back? No.

When my daughter was younger, TC was our go to place. Tried them tonight, and this location has really gone downhill. We order the chicken flautas and a quesadilla. The flautas barely had any chicken and were incredibly over fried! Que lastima, I used to love these. The tortillas for the quesadilla tasted old and the overall taste was off. The side of Spanish rice was mushy. Sadly, given this experience I doubt I will return. As Roberto Duran once said, no mas, no mas…

Visited for the first time. Had breakfast tacos and coffee, both were good, the salsa bar featured 10 items… a nice touch. I will return.

Food is fast and cheap. We ordered ½lbs of fajitas it came pretty fast. Also came with rice, beans, tortillas, and a side of guacamole, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and pico De gallo. We also got two margarita’s(really strong) and a beer for less than $ 20. we like coming to this place because it’s fast, cheap, and good. I have nothing to complain about. The staff was really nice and they even brought out our food to the patio. The restaurant was busy and clean. I will be returning with my family.

I have been to this location many times over the years. When I am in the need for some good, quick Tex Mex, this is the place to go. Other reviews compare TC to Taco Bell, but there is really no comparison. Try the street tacos and grab a margarita. Fresh tortillas and a delicious salsa bar. Can you get that at Taco Bell? I also enjoy the cabana bowls and the chicken or beef fajitas. Breakfast is tasty. I have always had a satisfying meal at TC. Standard, fast-food seating inside and some tables are also located outside. TC has one of the best-tasting drive-thrus you will ever hit. Prices are good… two can easily eat for less than $ 20. Where TC falls short is on the service side, but it does appear that the restaurant is making slight changes to help that. I did notice on my last visit that the food was delivered to our table, when traditionally you have to go pickup the food yourself. Unfortunately, I did go through the drive-thru line the other night and somehow chicken flautas were added to my order when I didn’t order them. I decided to keep the flautas and give them a try, but still… Anyway, the food is always good, but you do have to remember that this is a fast food restaurant. I would love to rate TC4 stars, but have to rate this location 3.5 stars due to the inconsistent service.

Dinner and a Show… We stopped in for the happy hour special that they are running. You can get an order of nachos and a beer or a margarita for 3 dollars. That’s crazy cheap plus you get chips on the house and they have a salsa bar. It’s finally starting to cool down in the evenings so we sat outside on the patio. After fighting the downtown to Katy traffic for an hour and a half it’s nice to relax outside with chips and a beer in the shade with a nice breeze. They give you a number to put on your table and bring the food out now. I like that a lot better than the old system they had where your number was called out on the speaker and you picked up your food from the counter. As well as the nachos we had an order of chicken flautas. I know they aren’t authentic but for being fast food I really like them. I end up getting them just about every time we go to a taco cabana. My wife said the nachos were good but would get them without the re-fried beans next time. No complaints about the food, cheap and tasty. However my margarita was a different story, it made me sad… you may ask, how can a margarita make you sad Scott… Well it wasn’t very good here, it had a FUNKY taste. Imagine drinking a sour lemonade that had been strained through a jock strap and served in a bowling alley rental shoe. Yep, it was that bad. Tossed it in the trash and got one of the 1.50 happy hour beers. On to the show! The older gentleman who brought our food was also bussing tables and I have to say he was working pretty hard. A few minutes later the manager«Danny» rolls on out to the patio and really starts talking down to the guy cleaning tables. After a few minutes of this I guess the older man had enough and they get into it. The patio and main dining area is separated by a glass door, next thing you know the manager and server are shoving the glass door back and forth. They go back inside and it looks as they are having a few more words, the older man takes off his apron and leaves. To: Danny the manager. If you have a problem with one of your employees do not get in a yelling match with them in front of the customers, take the employee aside and speak to them in a calm and non confrontational manner. Explain what they are doing wrong and how to correct it. Also, the door shoving incident should have never happened, you are endangering customers and staff. Yes, I would go back to taco cabana, I just wouldn’t get the«margarita». P.s The 1.50 beer made me happy again!

This place prices are higher than your traditional taco spots, mainly Taco Bell. I often what would make a person double the price for a taco here, especially considering that the item is smaller than the item there… but it comes down to two factors… first factor is variety, and the second factor is authenticity. In my typical food ignorance of different cultures, my Taco Bell exposure is my absolute for what traditional Mexican cuisine is! I like my comparatively speaking, monster sized tacos! I like my no exactly what my taco consist of flavor. At Taco Cabana, they break away from Americanized«Mexican food.» You will find flavors like brisket taco, just to name one out the box flavor. Their nachos have a different swag that a Taco Bell nachos. You truly have to experience this place for yourself. They also have happy hour to whereas you are able to purchase nachos for half price between 4pm and 6pm… I think! Sign up for their e-club and they send you all types of deals in your e-mail. All in all, a good place to go when you don’t wish to dine of prefabricated notions of Mexican food.
