I come here often mainly because it’s conveniently located on campus. They have a good selection of flavors and toppings(including no-sugar-added, no-fat, and lactose-free options), reasonable prices, and friendly staff. The froyo here definitely satisfies my froyo cravings, but it’s definitely not the best froyo out there usually because of one of two reasons: either the flavor is a bit off, or the texture is not as creamy as I prefer. Given the choice, I’d undoubtedly choose Yogurtland or Pinkberry over Yogurt World, but neither of them are at UCSD so this place suffices.

I’m a frequent visitor at YogurtWorld because froyo is accessible on campus without having to bus, and when I’m craving something cold and sweet I get HANGRY if I don’t get what I want! There is not a «set» that I always get-I usually try different flavors! Some flavors that I’ve tried include: mint, thai tea, mountain berry, green tea tart, Hawaiian sorbet, red velvet, plain tart, vanilla custard, chocolate custard, California strawberry, sweet taro, vanilla chai, sweet azuki(red bean), sweet caramel with salted pretzels, lemon meringue, cookies’ n cream, black sesame, mountain berry, toffee cookie gelato(or something along that line), matcha green tea and much more! Pros: –Great service! This place is student friendly and somewhat student run. The bosses are busy in the back, and so the students are super approachable. The bosses are nice too! –Awesome toppings! I love that they cater(unintentionally?) to the Asian crowd. Mochi, condensed milk, sweet red bean, popping boba… and SOMUCHMORE other«traditional» toppings. There is something here for everyone! If you try to come thinking you won’t add anything… you’ll be proven wrong. Cons: –Consistency of froyo is meh. I’ve never really had the«real» froyo like Pinkberry, but then once I had Yogurtland(near UTC) I was mindblown that Froyo wasn’t always so watery? After coming back to try YogurtWorld, some flavors had a better consistency(sorbet, tart) than others(matcha green tea). Tips/Observations: -$ 0.43 per ounce of froyo! Overall, this is definitely a great place to come satisfy your cravings! They open pretty late on weekdays(11PM?! Heck yah!) I wish they have a rewards program though!

It’s been six years since I’ve been here, but I was at UCSD when this place moved into the building. The froyo was delicious and prices were extremely reasonable. I still miss this place!

First food place I tried when stepping foot on campus. Yummy flavors today, a blackberry mountain one that was nonfat& plain tart are my favorites. I recommend shredded coconut and toasted almond toppings. Taro is a bit sweet. Ask for sample cups, and worker honored my fundraiser flyer.

This is definitely one of my top favorite Frozen Yogurt places and I am a crazy froyo lover! The flavors are cleaner, not as heavy or overly sweet/sickening as other places like Yogurtland or Pinkberry. They have amazing flavors that they always alternate. I’m obsessed with the Thai Tea, Cookies and Cream & Caramel flavors that they have! It’s safe to say I’m a regular here as I come here on a few times a week. This place is seriously the only place I eat from on campus. The only downside is that it’s pretty pricey/pricier than other places so with toppings it really does add up.

froyo + Asian influenced flavors = WIN. This has been the only frozen yogurt place I’ve been to that consistently has at least 2 Asian flavors, such as Japanese matcha green tea or sweet taro yogurt, on display and sale. As well as these delicious flavors, this place has some pretty awesome regular flavors as well– like pineapple sorbet and yummy tart! A bit fearful to commit to dunking mysterious yogurt into your cup? NOPROBLEM– this place has little sampling cups so you can take a little nibble and either LOVEIT(which is most of the time) or not so much love it. I definitely recommend this cool place to any visitors or students at UCSD. It’s delicious and cute!

Honestly my favorite yogurt place hands down. Why? Thai tea, coconut taro, jasmine green milk tea, and so many other unique flavors that are constantly rotating. Plus, the quality isn’t bad at all and doesn’t melt that quickly. Definitely one of the things I’ll miss when I graduate from UCSD and move back home.

Yogurt selection lacking. The flavors that they do have aren’t particularly good either. The topping bar is decently stacked. I don’t go to yogurt places for the toppings though, if you know what I mean.

conveniently located just a few steps from my office… I always enjoy a quick stop over at Yogurt World to enjoy some tart yogurt. This go round I decided to go yellow: in my yellow cup when mango tart with mango pieces… and the owner, Michael, hooked me up with a yellow spoon! He also explained to me how they are moving to use more sustainable items… like ditching the styrofoam cups and plastic spoons… love this! They definitely get my vote and my money. I’ll be back for sure.

Thai tea yogurt is amazing! The taro is good as well. They also have several different flavors of boba.

I love this place, especially with the recent hot weather we’ve been having. They always have different yogurt flavors and lots of different topping choices and the price is similar to what you will find in San Diego, which surprised me since it’s on campus at UCSD.

Frustrating… Drove to this place on a Sunday and they were closed! Hours on Unilocal are not correct and I think the phone number may be incorrect as well as there is never any answer or answering machine. Please update! You just lost two fro-yo customers :-(

This place is a hit or miss. Sometimes the flavors are kind of weird and/or watered down. Other times, it’s very creamy and good. My favorite flavors are Georgia Peach and Pomegranate, but I don’t really seem to see these flavors out that often. The price is a little more expensive than other froyo places that I’ve been to, but since I rarely get froyo, I don’t mind it too much. For the toppings, I love adding mochi, fresh fruit, and, if they have it, the interesting boba that my friends and I have deemed the«exploding boba,» which gush out with fruit flavors. Yum! If I’m feeling fatty, I will add the pecan pie topping and Heath bars in lieu of the fruity stuff.

One of my favorite places on campus… even with all the stuff that can go wrong in this place. So a few times I notice half their yogurt machines won’t work properly or the yogurt will either come out really slow or already kind of liquidy. However I love that they change up the flavors VERY often, so there’s always something new every time I visit. Ask for sample cups! I also love the topping variety they have. They’ve got tons to satisfy your every crave. Mainly, I love the little boba/egg things that pop in your mouth when you bite them. They used to have mango, strawberry, and lychee, but now I notice they only have two flavors. Indoor as well as outdoor seating. The price was either 32 or 38 cents an ounce, which is actually a bit more expensive than frozen yogurt outside – but this is school food, so what do you expect.

Dear Yogurt World, Why are your locations only in San Diego? Your once regular patron now in LA, Lauren This self-serve frozen yogurt place has got to be my favorite. Nothing beats Yogurt World’s wide variety of ice cold, TART yogurt. My biggest two frozen yogurt pet peeves: soft almost liquidy yogurt, and sweet yogurt. Sweet yogurt tastes as if I’m eating a frozen gogurt. which I can simply do at home. SO. to get your share of tart yogurt, you’re gonna have to head to Yogurt World. My friend introduced me to Yogurt World @ the Mira Mesa location. And quite frankly, that was one of the first times I’d ever had frozen yogurt. but I immediately fell in love. Yogurt World has a vast array of topping choices, clean machines that you can use to dispense your favorite yogurt flavors, and friendly UCSD student staff workers :) I miss having a great frozen yogurt franchise on campus. And Yogurt World. I love this place so much, I ran from my dorms at Revelle at 9:50PM all the way to PC just to get some. and even with just a few minutes to spare, there was a decent line, but they always go fast. Mmmmm, late night yogurt :)

So you know that obnoxious Katy Perry song about being hot and then cold? Yeah, it makes my ears bleed too. At first I thought it was about being noncommittal in relationships, and then I thought it was about menopause. I was wrong on both counts. Truth is, that song was simply a description of my lunch two days ago. THEHOT: Phở over at Phở La Jolla. THECOLD: Fro-yo by the ounce at Yogurt World on the UCSD campus. Tucked in the corner of the Student Services Center, Yogurt World is easy to miss.(Look for the Triton statue/fountain.) Despite its small size, Yogurt World has everything you could possibly want in a fro-yo shop. The prices are low, the staff is friendly, and the self-serve fro-yo machines are tidy and well-kept. Oh – there are a LOT of machines. I completely abused the free sample cups and had tastes of the green tea, mango, strawberry, and taro. My favorite was easily the mango, so I bought ~$ 3 worth, topped with some fresh kiwi from the toppings bar.(The only flavor that seemed underwhelming was the strawberry, which, frankly, tasted a little watery and not especially strawberry-like. The others were home-runs, though.) Not sure how often I’ll be coming back — the center of campus is a zoo at midday, and, for non-students, the traffic and lines are a migraine waiting to happen. It’s awfully tempting, though.

First of all, Unilocal is amazing because I had NO idea I could review a campus-based restaurant! That’s just awesome! And secondly, I am forever grateful to UCSD for establishing a frozen yogurt place smack in the middle of campus. It has been an established treat of mine for so long now that without it, the homesickness would be harder to shake off. It’s little traditions like going to frozen yogurt that make me feel like I am right back at home… which is only 3 hours away, but for sentimentality’s sake, work with me now! One thing that is very surprising about this place is the variety of toppings! I also like how the sweet topping are set up: little clear drawers with a knob you can pull down, like the drawers in a candy store. Several different syrups, various candies and chocolates and many fresh fruits and fruit jellies make up the myriad of toppings that are available for selection at Yogurt World. I also think the yogurt selections are balanced as far as tasting pallette goes. From traditional vanilla and chocolate(which are actually custards so the texture is slightly thicker but still enjoyable), to sweet taro and green coconut(I am fascinated with the taste of the latter especially, since I would never have been able to guess«green coconut» as the flavor), this place has a very cultured(no pun intended) selection of yogurt. Though I keep waiting for them to change up a couple of flavors soon. Or maybe I am just going there a little bit too often. This is a campus facility that I could see lasting for a very long time. And rightfully it should. And the day that Dining Dollars can be used to buy yogurt is the day when Karila the yogurtician begins her all-frozen-yogurt diet! Oh, that would never get old for me, not with all the endless possibilities!

always a convenience since it’s on campus and one of the better yogurt places out their. I think its a little pricier here on campus though, but i guess thats the cost for it being at such a good location. the place is really clean too, which i think is hard for busy yogurt shops to maintain since they have toppings flying around all the time

I am a UCSD alum and boy do I WISH we had this place when I went to school there! I am also a fro-yo fan and Yogurt World definitely tops the list. This location is very clean with a huge selection of yogurt AND toppings. It has more options than the majority of fro-yo shops I have been to(and trust me, I have been to a lot!). Besides variety, this location is awesome for all students and staff. I just hope that they don’t take this place for granted. If you only knew what it was like living without one on campus. Haha. Since it is on campus, there are a lot of places to sit and chill after ordering. I hate going to a fro-yo shop and them not having any seats(either they are all full or they only have a few inside and none outside). I could see myself grabbing a cup and chilling before my class starts at Price Center or whatever. Mmmm… Yum! Side note — parking at UCSD is free on the weekends. So you could get some delicious fro-yo and walk around a beautiful campus or attend one of their many events if you are bored one weekend.
