Seriously the best chicken bowls in the desert. and for the price, it’s a steal. I’ll be devastated if this place ever closes down

We’re not fast food people so we enjoy the casual dining place because the food is served fast. The bowls are always served on the quickness. The Korean menu takes some time but it’s worth it and the portion is very generous. The kids, husband and I always enjoy are meals here. They used to have California Rolls on hand from the sushi place around the corner but they’re always out when we come here lately.

Staff is nice but the food isn’t good there. I’ve tried it three different times and ordered different items. Just not good.

I’ve been here a few times now and it’s really good. Way better than expected. The only thing is that they need more people to help out. The girl at the front does basically everything and it really good at her job, she needs to be appreciated.

The chicken bowls are great. Not expensive, healthy and delicious, love their homemade teriyaki sauce.

Ordered Bulgogi Bowl and Kimchi variety. I would recommend this place if you want something cheap, quick, and a Korean fix. I would come here again.

When I’m craving Korean food in the desert, this is my go-to spot. I’m a big fan of their spicy beef soup(yukgaejang). Located in a strip mall off hwy 111, this casual spot can be easy to miss. Other items I’ve tried on the Korean menu are the bulgogi and grilled mackerel. Both were good and the portion size was nice. Keep in mind that this is more a fast food style restaurant. Overall, great place to come to satisfy your Korean food cravings in the desert.

Delicious food! Best I’ve ever had! But they should have their hours of operation from 8 – 8 because it seems that after 8 employees get in the worst mood. Girl with blonde hair saw me and my boyfriend come in and totally ignored us she even went back with the cook. Until the owner came and saw we hadn’t been helped on yet. Maybe she should take some customer service classes. Oh yeah and make sure you ask for your chicken hot not cold because my chicken was cold and she said thats how it is. Sams isnt the same place when the brunet girl isn’t there. She is sooo nice and friendly! Nothing like that other girl. Word of advice if you ever get the chance to go there. PASSITUP! Or just make sure the blonde girl isn’t there.

Fast food/casual dining style Korean place. The food was pretty good and the service was good. For a quick Korean fix this is a great option.

I always go here when I’m craving for korean food here in the desert, I always get the beef bulgogi(full order). The food is always good. Customer service is ok but it depends on who is working at the cashier. The lady that worked there today was very efficient and really nice!

Good food! So yummy! The Teriyaki Bowls are large & have fresh, hot meat, veggies, & rice for a great price! I usually order off of the Korean Menu… Spicy Tofu Soup is so filling & tasty… comes out bubbling hot! No, seriously… check my video here on Unilocal for a nice view of that bubbly goodness! Hehehe I also really like their Bulgogi(thinly sliced, marinated & grilled beef & onions)…so yummy too! Comes out sizzling. If you order from the Korean menu(far left side of wall behind register at eye level), then you’ll get Korean Side Dishes(usually 4 different types of veggies). My favorite side dishes are the Kimchi, bean sprouts, & cucumber kimchi… I think you’ll enjoy it if you give it a try! The next dish that I want to try is the Spicy Beef Soup! I’ve heard great things about it & want some… now… Haha The cons: This is not a nice restaurant with servers… but that’s evident in the lower pricing. The furniture is older & the walls could use a little scrub, but the cashier always seems so hardworking & cleans the tables quickly. Although, I love the Spicy Tofu Soup, it’s not always consistent… I mean the flavor rocks! It’s just that it doesn’t always have those wonderful mushrooms in it… :-( Their soda machine looks like it’s gonna die… it’s in need of some TLC… But the soda mix is always good & bubbly & not too syrupy or watery.

Good atmosphere. Good service. Try the chicken teriyaki bowl or even the wraps are good. This is my go to place it’s not expensive and fast service. Lately they have been lacking though, that’s why three stars. They are missing flavor and the food is getting too dry.

I love coming here now occasionally since its only a block away from work, I used to come here everyday maybe about a year and half ago for lunch when I went to school nearby, I recently visited this location and the girl at the front was really rude it seem like if I was bothering her when I was placing my order. Other than that the food is great and the price is just right.

Such a nice quiet atmosphere, tried the Korean BBQ for the first time. I usually have the chicken bowl, it was a good change. :) One thing I noticed, the girl that attended to us was one of the best, hardest working employee I’ve ever seen. Such fast efficient service!

Came in for some soup and ordered their spicy beef soup(yuk gae jang) I thought it was pretty good for a casual dining place. I live in the area but from LA/SF and considering this is one of two Korean places here in the desert thaof, it did not disappoint. Soup had nice flavor, and served with authentic vegetables(kosari aka fern brake) portion was a good size and came with a bowl of rice and four types of kimchi. Looking around, I realized that most patrons come for the teriyaki which is a great deal from looking at the menu. I’ll try that next time. Over all had a good experience, I’ll come back when I need my korean fix!

The Korean food here is pretty authentic. They have KBBQ(but they cook it in the back). I’ve only had their Korean dishes and they’re all very good. And the food comes out quickly and it’s pretty consistent. Great place to get a quick bite to eat!

Tucked in a strip mall in La Quinta, there is probably only two Korean restaurants in this town. Good, fast Korean food is how I would categorize this restaurant. I had the spicy chicken bulgogi, spicy hot, but good! Their portions are huge, I had to share or only eat half of it. Hubby had the chicken teriyaki bowl… I guess this is a combo Japanese/Korean restaurant and cuisine — ok. Son and sister had the beef Galbi, they gave it two thumbs up, again good taste and huge portions, good thing they were starving! Their sides include kim chee(yummmyyyyy), spicy pickles, radish strips pickled, potato/turnips…reasonably priced, huge portions, good quality ingredients and great taste(although funky Korean/Japanese menu)…Bi Bim bop alternatives, pork and other meat bulgogi options, noodle dishes as well. We will be back next time we are in Palm Springs again.

This place is a hidden gem! I didn’t think the desert had anywhere like this and they do! I say stop in and support the good local restaurants! I ordered a lg chicken teriyaki bowl and it came with a salad and drink for $ 7 and some change! Totally worth it!
