4 Jaxx Restaurant

This is the restaurant in the casino. I absolutely love coming to eat at this place on Sunday morning for their champagne brunch buffet. Their prices are reasonable and the food is excellent!

What an pleasant little surprise in Lake Elsinore.
We were starving after a night of drinking dollar beers at the Storm stadium one night and didn’t have many options for food after 9 pm in the area. My friends are Lake Elsinore locals and big fans of the Lake Elsinore Casino. I myself had never been.
I’ll admit I was hesitate because I didn’t know what to expect from the casino let alone the food quality. The casino is small but seems to get the job done and the same goes for the restaurant inside. 4 Jaxx is popping at night. We didn’t have to wait for a table even though it was packed inside. It’s a small spot with a big bar in the center that takes up most of the real estate. There was loud music playing from a jukebox that was a bit distracting but fun if you want to pick a couple of songs to put on.
They have some drink specials like 4 coronas for 20 dollars which we took advantage of. The menu is quite vast as well. I remember seeing Chinese, Italian and American food. I went with a simple croissant sandwich. It did the job soaking up most of my alcohol.
I would actually like to come here again when I’m completely sober and see how I feel about it.

Good was big portions. Service was friendly and fast. We had the prime rib dinner which was really tasty. Cheese cake for desert. The ambience was coffee shop low end but price was great and food good we will be back to try more on the menu.

Exceptional clam chowder. Don’t have turkey and stuffing. Was sour today. Usually has good food but today wasn’t the best. They did right as ND didn’t charge us for the two dinners.

I had somewhat low expectations based on the location and décor but I was very favorably impressed. Salad was big and crisp. Prime rib was exactly rare and juicy. Mashed potatoes were just that and no more. Quick and friendly service. For a grand total of $ 14.04 including iced tea, it had to be the best bargain I’ve had in months or more. Oh yes, hotel was a real bargain too. Great location near the stadium and walk I attended.

Had a good time at Monday night football in the casino bar, new menu since here last and good food cold beer, service a little slow, they needed a little help in the beginning of the game. Nachos were good and wings very tasty. The chili dogs were good, although, I didn’t like the chili where everyone else liked it. Fries were yummy! Shrimp cocktail our friend had were xlarge shrimps!

The food was very good. Prime rib was yummy but a tad on the cool side. The cashew chicken was also delicious. Prices were very good. Quite a surprise inside this hotel! Wait staff were nice & attentive.

Prices changed, extreme hike!!! Like 8 bucks for onion rings now, there is no difference in portion as before ! No more specials, the prices have really increased and the food portions seem smaller !
I used to rave about this place, now I tell my friends to avoid! So different and the menus seem to change every week, with price hike!!!

I’ve been sitting on this for a week, trying to decide how to review. I hate writing negative reviews, and really try not to.
Part of me wants to blame location; I mean, this is a restaurant inside a casino in Lake Elsinore… Not really a foodie heaven. But part of me thinks that a good restaurant (food, staff, owners, atmosphere) can be good regardless of location. Adding to my difficulty in writing this review is the fact that I read the other reviews first and visited Jaxx because of the good rating and hint of new management. Sadly, I think staff or friends are the reason for those higher ratings.
So, how to review Jaxx?
The casino is nothing to write home about, which is neither here nor there, but that’s basically a theme for the restaurant as well. Was it horrible? No. In fact, my omelet was quite decent (which is why this review has two stars instead of one). But I didn’t eat anything else from the buffet, save for a small serving of breakfast potatoes – the food just didn’t look appetizing. Any of it. My husband ate some of the meat from the carving station, as well as other buffet options, and it all looked questionable, though he didn’t say it was horrible. I was disappointed that the champagne included with brunch was limited to two – and served in plastic flutes, no less! (Related: as far as local, inexpensive champagne brunch goes, I can go to Provecho in Sun City and spend a few dollars more for great food, attentive staff, and unlimited mimosas with brunch. In actual glasses.)
The buffet set up appears old and poorly maintained. The tables are just thrown about haphazardly, which really adds to the disheveled feeling of the restaurant. The décor – if you can call it that – is strange and outdated. (I’m still trying to understand the fake flowers hanging above the omelet station.) The staff is not nearly as attentive as they could be, and the bussers, well, a table near ours remained dirty with plates for our entire meal, though the busboy passed by numerous times.
I would not go back, nor would I recommend this restaurant. If they’ve revamped this place recently, I’d be terrified to see what it used to be like.

The best place to ever eat at it was wonderful we all enjoyed ourselves so much the food is just absolutely fabulous.

Wow ! Before I even start writing my review all I can say is Wow !! I came here with my husband for the first time last night as a dinner date with his Sister and her husband. I ordered the NY Steak with Baked Potato, Steamed Vegetables, and Salad. I asked for Italian dressing for the salad but was given Ranch by mistake. I totally got over it bcuz the ranch was a better choice. It tastes homemade and the salad wasn’t even a rinky dink salad but rather the side salad alone could be a meal in itself. I wasn’t even prepared for the steak that arrive shortly there after.
The servers are SUPER-​Friendly and constantly topping off your beverages so you never had to wait around for someone to refill your drinks. When I got my NY steak I was literally like (O o) The Steak was HUGE !! They don’t lie about their size proportions. It’s a 12oz NY Steak and it was probably more than 12 oz. cooked to perfection and moist, super juicy, delicious !! I’ve been to other places like Sizzler or other steak serving restaurant and their Steaks look good in the menu pictures but is totally opposite of what get’s served. They say 12oz but you end up with a tiny excuse for a steak and it’ll cost you double maybe triple what this place charges which is a mere $ 13 for a giant steak dinner.
Coming from Los Angeles it’s a bit of a trek to get to this place but I promise you you will not regret the long drive to get to this place. The food is delicious and the portions are excellent !! My only teenie tiny gripe would be that they don’t really give you much dipping sauce options with your steak besides the obvious A1 steak sauce on the table. Would of been nice if it came with a side of Horseradish dip or a Garlic Aioli sauce. But it’s still enjoyable on it’s own ! I really recommend you give this place a try and repeated tries. My husband and I love road trips and to us this is sorta a local road trip for us. But I know whenever I’m craving for a real good steak I’ll be coming here that’s for sure.

Great breakfast and lunch! Sunday morning $ 12 crab leg, salad bar and champagne brunch?!! Fantastic!
We play poker here often and you really can’t go wrong with any of the items, but our favorite is the steak and eggs. The steak is always cooked to perfection. I like my eggs runny and my husband likes them as hard as rocks… we both get our eggs just like we like them.
The management (PJ) servers and all staff are extremely friendly.
Highly recommend!

My family and I really like this restaurant… the food is always delicious and freshly prepared. The servers are also super-​friendly. We would rather dine here than any other chain restaurant… both for taste and price.
Our favorites are the $ 6.99 Steak & Eggs special, the breakfast potatoes with onions and peppers, biscuits & gravy, beef stroganoff & the super crispy fries. Also, the Asian dishes are really good… the chow fun and honey walnut shrimp are even better than some Asian restaurants.
Located in the EconoLodge/​Lake Elsinore casino… this restaurant is a hidden gem that people really need to try.

Love having a late breakfast here. The eggs benedict was delicious, coffee is great. Servers are courteous and attentive. We enjoy coming here and not being rushed through a meal.

I came here last Sunday for brunch with a couple girlfriends and while the food was good we had problems with our server, Denelle. She was rude and never came to check on us. She didn’t even know the difference between crab and lobster, not sure how that’s even possible as a server.

I honestly love the restaurant in the Elsinore Casino. The food is very fairly priced and I’ve never had a bad meal here. Today I had the orange chicken off of the Asian menu, it came with steamed rice and a bowl of hot and sour soup for $ 8.95. The food was hot, cooked perfectly and was a great portion size. The wait staff did their best to keep my iced tea filled and even sent me on the road with one. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Have been going to this restaurant for many yrs.
Saw that 3 ladies sitting in the back had a dog. Asked waitress if that was a service dog, she stated no — but what are you going to do with people. My husband then went to the front desk to complain about a non service dog inside the restaurant.
They stated they are not in charge of the restaurant. Why do people have to be inconsiderate to bring their animals in restaurants and why can’t employees do their job.

I am writing a review of this coffee shop/​eatery (found inside a local casino) b/​c it was requested. More specifically, there was a note on my table (and all the other tables) that stated that the restaurant is being re-​branded and that the proprietors are anxious to alert the public to the changes being made.
I’d been here once before a few years ago and I liked it back then; hence my reason for returning. It’s pretty quiet, serene, and the food isn’t bad. On this occasion, I ordered the shaved roast sandwich w/​tater tots. Had I so desired, I could have had french fries, rice pilaf, steamed rice, cottage cheese or a few other things as my side dish. The options are nice to have.
The sandwich was good and the waitresses were attentive. If you feel hungry while heading back to L.A. along the I-​15, or are intent upon chowing down to forget gambling losses, 4 Jaxx is a quality choice in both situations.
For those just not feelin’ the standard American fare, the menu also listed «Asian» cuisine.
